So far, there are 15 Auxiliary Vessels in the game: three, the ''Chitose''-class and Taigei, are quickly converted in-game to CVL, while Akitsu Maru and Shinshuu Maru are [=IJA=] vessels, and Commandant Teste is a French (Marine Nationale) vessel; Akashi, Akitsushima, Hayasui and Mizuho are playable whereas Mamiya and Irako are usable items. This is unlikely to change any time soon, because [[AcceptableBreaksFromReality auxiliaries rarely do anything interesting in battle]].

* PaperTalisman: After remodeling, she gains a scroll as well as the ability to launch plane shikigami. Her style is closer to Buddhism compared to Ryuujou and the ''Hiyou''-class' being in the Shinto style (also by the same artist), what with the Siddham writing all over her scroll...

* ShownTheirWork: Her headpiece and dress matches the dazzle camouflage her historical counterpart was once painted in.
** She also reminisces about the planned operation that the Early Spring 2024 event was based on, including how I-41's captain Itakura Mitsuma put the kibosh on it by pointing out some very obvious flaws in the tanks they were planning to use, along with telling a few funny anecdotes about Itakura himself, like the time he got drunk, tried to pee off the side of the submarine, and fell into the ocean.

* OlderThanTheyLook: With her introduction, Asahi is the ''oldest'' ship of all introduced characters. [[note]]''Asahi'' herseelf was laid down on August 1, 1898, launched March 13, 1899, and commissioned on April 28, 1900. ''Gangut'' was laid down on June 16, 1909, launched October 20, 1911, and commissioned on January 11, 1915. ''Kongou'' was laid down on January 17, 1911, launched on May 18, 1912 and commissioned on August 16, 1913, and finally ''Warspite'' who was laid down on October 31, 1912, launched on November 26, 1913, and commissioned on March 8, 1915. This makes Asahi ''125 years old'' when she was added to the game.[[/note]]

The {{Support Party Member}}s of the fleet[[note]]Although not a class itself, this is a category for any vessel design behind the front.[[/note]]; in real life large navies had a large Auxiliary Fleet to support and maintain their vessels. They possess little capability to protect themselves, which is reflected in the game with their poor stats.

The lack of know-how and the worsening war draining the remaining resources meant that most of them were [[TheAllegedCar barely sea-worthy]]. However, because of their upbringing, in the game they tend to have unique functions that no IJN ships can perform. The first batch of them were introduced in 24 December 2013 along with the Large Ship Construction features.

* BornLucky: Starts with 55 and ends at 77, which can then be maxed to '''''155''''', 30 points higher than Grecale, who was the previous record holder before her introduction. He luck stat is extremely warranted, too: Souya had multiple run-ins with Allied naval forces during the war and survived them all, including being seemingly struck by a dud torpedo and escaping the few aircraft attacks she was subject to (though she had to run aground for one of them). Even more remarkable, Souya survived the peace that followed the war as well, including a long career as an Antarctic research vessel before ending as an icebreaking coast guard ship, and finally retiring as a museum ship in 1979. As of the time of her introduction in 2021, Souya remains a museum ship, and [[SoleSurvivor is the last surviving vessel of the WW2-era Imperial Japanese Navy]].

* LivingMuseumExhibit: The only one left from the WW2-era Japanese Navy.

* SoleSurvivor: A Downplayed example. She's the last remaining WW2-era ship from Japan to still exist, having survived the war and still afloat as a museum. However, Souya's introduction into the game was both preceded and followed by several WW2-era museum ships from the United States Navy: Iowa, Intrepid, Massachusetts, and Drum.
