[[caption-width-right:350:Kamen Rider Amazon New Omega]]

* ArtificialHuman: The third type Amazon.
* AntiHero: [[spoiler:A rather downplayed example starting from Season 2. While he still retain some of his heroic traits, Haruka goes into great lengths to stop Chihiro from meeting up with an already unstable Jin. It doesn't work.]]
* TheBerserker: Tends to let his Amazon side take the reins when he's in battle. It shows. It's also his fighting style in contrast to Jin's martial arts style and Chihiro's self taught brawler style.
* BerserkButton: Do not: Harm his family, friends, allies, and innocents whether they're human or Amazon. Results ''will'' get messy.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Haruka's a nice, gentle person. But of the three Amazon Riders, he's absolutely brutal and vicious in combat.
* BigBrotherInstinct: He acts like a surrogate big brother to Mamoru even though Haruka couldn't be any older than him. [[spoiler: In the final episode of S1, he convinces Mamoru to join him in abandoning human civilization and contact to live peacefully, and even saves him when he's badly injured in S2, despite now being enemies]]. He also shows this to Mizuki after becoming an Amazon, such as rushing to her aid when an Amazon is after her. In fact, she's probably one of the person Haruka cares about the most. Even after [[spoiler: he decided to turn his back on humanity, Haruka still cares for her. When they finally meet again in season 2, even when Mizuki tries to kill him, Haruka doesn't hold it against her and still treats her kindly.]]
* BigEater: He has to. Episode 11 actually shows him scarfing down his meal after he completely healed.
* BloodKnight: Every time Haruka joins a fight, his inner Amazon becomes engrossed in it. He ends up having an epic but disturbing SlasherSmile as a result.
* BreakTheCutie: He ends up having this to him after slaughtering an enemy. It only gets worse from then on.
* BrokenPedestal: [[spoiler:To Mamoru, who wants to kill him for being satisfied with just protecting Amazons.]]
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler: He, alongside Mamoru and other Amazons, went on to go live in peace outside human contact]]. Unfortunately, it was rather short lived.
* ByronicHero: Jin sees Haruka as this; seeing his moral compass as [[MoralDissonance flexible based on who he likes and doesn't]]. This cultivates in him having to [[spoiler: restrain Haruka when the latter attempts to murder the serial killer in Episode 8]].
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler: What befell the relationship between him and Mizuki. Haruka still cares for her, though and as ''Rambling Roses'' shows, he still watches over her from the shadows when he can]].
* CharacterDevelopment: In Season 1 he was meek and unsure, after the TimeSkip he's become far more confident and stoic.
* CoolBike: The Junglaider, a much more sleeker version of the Jungler. It even adjusts to Haruka's Amazons Cells to make him able to ride it easier, as Haruka doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle normally.
* CurbstompBattle: In his first fight, he bites the Bat Amazon, tore its wings off, and ''literally'' stepped its face in with a very gory Rider Kick.
* DoomedMoralVictor: Though the misfortunes pile up, Haruka nevertheless insists on trying to find a way for both humans and Amazons to live together in harmony, a scenario where neither side has to hunt the other into extinction. However, extremists of both species capsize whatever solutions he attempts to implement.
* DynamicEntry: He makes his first appearance in his complete form by slamming into an Amazon from a ''very'' long jump.
* FinishingMove:
** Violent Punish: A powerful slash capable of bisecting an enemy in one swipe.
** Violent Break: Either uses the Battler Grip in its spear mode to impale the opponent or in its whip mode to grab the opponent and pull them into a slash from his arm blades to finish them off.
* GoodIsNotSoft: By the time he meets and faces Chihiro, most of his fights were one-sided and non-lethal (at least the way he does non-lethal). This is because he knows who his parents are.
* GeneticEngineeringIsTheNewNuke: [[spoiler: He is the result of his mother's and Amazon cells]].
* GildedCage: Haruka originally lived in one, which he akins to an aquarium.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: What some of his {{Finishing Move}}s do to their target.
* HealingFactor: [[spoiler: Is revealed to have this in Killing Day; while Sigma ''did'' give him a bad wound which required surgery, he sits up eating like nothing happened after he was given food.]]
* HeroAntagonist: [[spoiler:When he finally appears in ''Orphans'', he transforms after seeing Iyu and intends to MercyKill her until he clash blades with Chihiro. ''Rambling Roses'' reveals that while he'll help kill the new Amazons but he'll still protect Mamoru's group]].
* HulkingOut: While both him and Mamoru do this, it's much more pronounced with him, as he goes from a gentle person to TheBerserker in a constant state of UnstoppableRage.
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: Like Jin. The only difference is that Jin wants all Amazons dead. Haruka wants unawakened ones to stay alive, but will kill any one of them that is on the verge of eating a human.
** It's this reluctance to unambiguously [[JumpedAtTheCall hunt all Amazons]] that puts him and Jin (and later on him and [[spoiler: Captain Shido]]) at odds. It manifests during [[spoiler: Operation Tlaloc]].
* IllBoy: Believed that was was this before it's revealed that his medication is actually given to him to delay his transformation into an Amazon, but only worked so long as he didn't fully 'awaken,' at which point it became useless.
* InASingleBound: As Amazon Omega, he reaches the site of the battle in "BEAST INSIDE" this way, jumping across entire city blocks at once.
* {{Irony}}: Haruka turns his back on humanity, but the humans of the Nozama Pest Control are the only people who have never tried to use him or stabbed him in the back, a fact he acknowledges when he goes to them for help in season 2. [[spoiler: Even if Fukada decides to stay with 4C he tells it too him to his face and stabs him in the front.]]
* ItsAllMyFault: [[spoiler:He blames himself for the new Amazons being born as he was away when the rest of his group put the plan into motion.]]
* MercyKill: What he will do to Amazons that awaken.
** He fully intends to do this to Iyu since [[spoiler: he was friends with her and her family. When he discovered her father killed everyone save Kurosaki, he didn't hesitate until he sees Iyu pleading until she passed on]].
* MidSeasonUpgrade: Gets a new Amazon Driver similar to Chihiro's around the halfway point of Season 2, becoming Amazon New Omega.
* OneOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Notice when he first showed up in episode 2, he only attacks the Bat Amazon and Jin, but not any members of the Extermination team despite Amazons wanting to eat human flesh. This may have to do with him being designed to be a HunterOfHisOwnKind.
* OnlyFriend: At the start of the series, he was only close to Mizuki due to his confinement, this changes when he goes outside.
* OnlySaneMan: Out of the Riders in Season 2, Haruka is the most well put together.
* OurHeroIsDead: [[spoiler: Was seemingly killed by Amazon Sigma during Episode 10 of the first season. However, he gets better in the next episode after he was sent to the Nozama Pharmacy by feeding him some meat to revitalize his condition]].
* ProtagonistJourneyToVillain: [[spoiler:PlayedWith. He went from TheHero to HeroAntagonist over the course of the TimeSkip. But ''Rambling Roses'' shows he hasn't changed in the least, just now he doesn't have a direct connection to humanity. Turns out that he's too busy trying to stop Jin from going after Chihiro, hence why he blinded Jin in their recent fight.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: "AMAZONS" first shows this when he changes to Omega.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: After character development and as series progress in Season 2, the contrast shown that Haruka is the manly to Chihiro sensitive guy. Emphasized by Haruka main objectives and interest to get rid Amazons in less reckless manner. Also Haruka combat style is more tactical and much efficiently cool-headed.
* SixthRanger: Becomes part of NPS to help them hunt down awakened Amazons.
* SlasherSmile: A rare heroic Kamen Rider example. He puts one on in episode 6. In episode 13, he's practically ''grinning'' as he faces off [[spoiler: a burned Jin]].
* SuperPrototype: A biological version. He's revealed to be a ''third'' type Amazon.
* SwissArmyWeapon: The right handle of the Amazon Driver can be pulled out for it to turn into various different weapons, like a spear or a whip.
* SwordOverHead: [[spoiler: Even on one occasion between the seasons where Haruka had Jin at his mercy, he couldn't bring himself to kill Jin.]]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: While he's fine working with the Extermination team, it's Jin he worries about, though they'll have to fight together against dangerous Amazons.
* TomatoInTheMirror: Didn't know he was an Amazon until he became Omega for the first time.
* TookALevelInBadass: His fighting style becomes much more refined and strategic by the end of the first season.
** He takes another in Season 2, his posture is no longer animalistic, being composed like Jin's was, and despite Chihiro having a superior belt he can still casually manhandle him, even when Chihiro goes full {{Determinator}}. He's pretty much inherited Jin's ShowyInvincibleHero status of early season 1.
* TraumaCongaLine: By the end of the first season, this [[BreakTheCutie Cutie isn't just broken]], he's been warped beyond anything resembling what he started as.
* UnstoppableRage: Pretty much his default state when he's Amazon Omega. Justified, as he implies Omega is a representation of his repressed anger and rage at being stuck in a GildedCage his entire life.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: He has this problem in episodes 2 and 3. After being told that he is an Amazon by Jin, he questions whether or not if he would ever consider himself a human being. It took Nanaha and his mother to tell him to decide if he considers his inner Amazon a human. Jin however doesn't care, since he considers Haruka being alive to be an important factor rather than questioning his existence as a human or Amazon.
** He actually has a very personal view of this. When he met a restaurant full of unawakened Amazons, they wanted to live normal lives and hold off their awakened selves. Of course Shido gives him a massive WhatTheHellHero look at him when he lets them go. But NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished as they die anyway when his mother deploys Tlaloc on them, killing them all. However, he does not count awakened Amazons, since they'll feed on humans.
* WhatTheHellHero: Jin calls him out after holding an Amazon dead-to-rights, hesitating after he pleads, and allowing him to escape, knowing full-well that women are being murdered.
** He also calls him out on [[spoiler: wanting to murder the very-Human serial killer that tortured Takai and Mamoru]].
* WideEyedIdealist: By this show's standards, anyway. Haruka is just about the only character who believes peace between humans and Amazons is an achievable ideal in the face of both sides continuing to kill one another, [[spoiler: especially with Mamoru becoming far more jaded by Season 2]].
* WildCard: [[spoiler:In season 2, no one is sure of his goals and what he has been during between the TimeSkip. The answer is stopping Jin and Chihiro from seeing each other.]]
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Looks like a full grown human, but is only two years old. Lampshaded when he realizes he doesn't have any memories from before then.

!!Jin Takayama/Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha

[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jin.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Jin (above), Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha (below)]]

* AloofAlly: Whenever he shows up in a fight with the MonsterOfTheWeek. Especially around Haruka.
* AntiHero: Regardless of his resolve to protect humanity, even if they're good or bad, he only fight for his own agendas whatsoever.
* ArchnemesisDad: [[spoiler: While their exact relationship is unknown, Chihiro went to great lengths to hide that Jin is his father and his reaction to seeing him again is far from pleased.]]
* TheAtoner: He blames himself for the original Amazon outbreak, so much so that he turned himself into an Amazon and completed development of two belts to hunt them down.
* BadassBiker: He has a normal motorcycle. Doesn't hurt his badass look.
* BaitAndSwitch: Viewers are led to believe Jin lost an arm and regrew it during the TimeSkip and it matches [[spoiler: Chihiro's]] blood. [[spoiler: He didn't. The arm belonged to Nanaha, who was killed by 4C]].
* BarefistedMonk: While Haruka occasionally uses his belt's weapons, Jin prefers to fight barehanded with only his ridged gauntlets for added offense.
* BigEater: Deconstructed. He needs to eat meals with high protein, hence his chicken coop in his apartment.
* BoomerangBigot: He wants every single Amazon dead, [[DeathSeeker including himself]].
* BroughtDownToBadass: Subverted from season 2 onward. His blindness has made him a weaker, more wild fighter. Despite this handicap, he is still an unchecked threat to nearly everyone he encounters and can slaughter most Amazons with ease. Against Omega and Neo however, he doesn't stack up anymore. [[note]]Omega knows enough of Jin's style to be able to counter it; being the one that blinded him. Neo and Alpha are evenly-matched on their own....until [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Origin comes out]].[[/note]]
* ByronicHero: He can be an ass, but he does have benign reasons for killing the MonsterOfTheWeek. While he begrudgingly fights with Haruka and the extermination team, he does it only for his and Nanaha's sakes.
** Episode 8 reveals he intends to protect humanity. [[DoubleStandard Regardless if you're a mass murderer or not]].
** Continues in Season 2. An anti-Amazon serial killer that refuses to listen to any kind of reason other than his own, making enemies of just about everyone he knows [[WellIntentionedExtremist for what he thinks is a good cause]].
* CurbstompBattle: His first fight with the second Spider Amazon. It's quick and brutal, with him manhandling it before ripping its heart out.
* CoveredWithScars: All those green marks you see on him as Alpha? All of them are scars from past battles that unlike Haruka's do not seemed to have healed.
* CreateYourOwnHero: Took Haruka back to his home in Episode 2 in hopes of gaining a powerful accomplice and wound up with an insufferable rival instead.
* DefectorFromDecadence: It's revealed that he willingly put the Amazon cells in himself to destroy the experiments.
* {{Determinator}}: He simply ''will not give up''. In his second fight with [[spoiler: Amazon Sigma]], [[spoiler: Sigma]] asks him at one point how he's still standing, to which Jin replies that it's because he doesn't want to fall over. [[spoiler: In the final episode, he says that he'll keep coming after Haruka and the Tlaloc survivors until they're all dead. Even being blinded during the time skip between seasons barely slows him down.]]
** [[spoiler:In Season 2, he'll not stop at killing Chihiro, even after being blinded by Haruka in their recent fight.]]
* DramaticIrony: In season 2, his on-going crusade damages his relationship with Nanaha, the latter running away from him due to his one-track mindset of eliminating every Amazon he finds, him acting more monstrous than the Amazons he's created. It heavily affects his close relationships with just about everyone. This includes Nanaha, who was pregnant with [[spoiler: Chihiro]]. Haruka attempts to reason with him, but he refuses, causing Omega to blind him in the ensuing fight; forcing him into a four-year wandering of the world trying to find them. The self-destruction leads to [[spoiler: Nanaha's death and Chihiro being taken by the humans who experimented on him, thus leading to the events of the second season]].
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The first things he does before he fights is crack open an egg with his belt and eats it raw. ''Then'' transforms in front of those involved.
* EyeScream: [[spoiler:His recent fight with Haruka (as Amazon Omega) ends badly for him when the latter cleaves off his eyes to stop his attempted killing of Chihiro.]]
* FacialHorror: [[spoiler: Episode 13 shows that at least the left side of his face and neck have become hideously scarred. It's unclear if this is because of his Amazon cells degenerating him, accumulated scars from his cannibalistic "hunts", or if they're chemical burns from Operation Tlaloc. By the time season 2 rolls around, the scars have completely healed.]]
* FinishingMove: Violent Slash, similar to Haruka's Violent Punish.
* {{Foil}}: While they are both Kamen Riders they are the exact opposite in personality and color. This is even represented in their suits, they both have a red and green motif but while Jin's is majority red with green stripes, Haruka is majority green with red stripes. In terms of personality while Jin will kill all Amazons and save every human, Haruka believes in a saving those that are innocent, meaning he'll happily kill murderers but protect unawakened Amazons like Mamoru. Jin is [[spoiler: a human who injected himself with Amazon cells]], while Haruka [[spoiler: is an Amazon altered to possess human DNA]].
* GenocideFromTheInside: Outright admits that this is his goal. Given the rest of his species are a race of man-eating monsters that, once they lose control are impossible to reason with or talk down, this is more understandable and less evil than most examples.
** Episode 6 reveals why: He was against the idea of sending out the Amazons after 2 years.
* HandicappedBadass: [[spoiler:In season 2, being blind only slows him down a little bit.]]
* HalfHumanHybrid: He's a [[spoiler:human who injected Amazon cells into himself.]] He's categorized as a second type Amazon.
* HeroAntagonist: For a [[AntiHero certain]] [[NominalHero definition]] of "hero" anyway. Post-SanitySlippage, he seems to have deluded himself into thinking he's protecting humanity by ''[[KillEmAll murdering every single Amazons he can find]]'' despite the fact that the Amazons have retreated into exile and want nothing to do with human society anymore, though his action is pretty justified as episode 8 of second season shows that some Amazons are still attacking humans despite their exile.
* HesBack: [[spoiler:Finally make his return in the final scene of season 2's episode 6.]]
* HiddenDepths: For an alcoholic, protein-eating Amazon Rider, he excels in cell biology.
** He seems to act like a dick to Haruka, but he seems to mean well. Haruka obviously does not reciprocate.[[labelnote:note]] [[JustifiedTrope Justified]], as Jin had stated that he and Mamoru are on his hit-list too; just presumably down at the very bottom. Not a philosophy that makes you friends.[[/labelnote]]
** He considers killing Amazons as an act of {{Mercy Kill}}ing because he cares.
** Even after his SanitySlippage in episode 13, it's implied by [[spoiler: his tearful conversation with Nanaha that he wants a normal life.]]
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: Is an Amazon himself despite hunting other Amazons. [[spoiler: The finale shows him eating Amazon remains to sustain himself.]]
* InvincibleHero: Up until his fight with [[spoiler: the newly-revived Jun Maehara, Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he can be a dick, he willingly feeds Haruka at every chance he gets. Even saving him from certain death.
* JerkassHasAPoint:
** The reason why he clashes with Reika is because Reika intends to release the Amazons after two years, but Jin was highly against it. Considering the 4,000 Amazons have awakened and began eating people, he definitely has a point.
** His point of conflict with Haruka, while Haruka is against murdering Amazons that haven't harmed humans yet or at least want to stay sane as long as possible, he has a point that it's inevitable that all Amazons are going to awaken and Haruka's ideals will just result in a lot of innocent people being eaten.
** If everyone ''had'' chosen to kill Chihiro prior to Season 2 like [[OffingTheOffspring he wanted them to]], none of the season's events would've happened. But, they spare the child. [[spoiler: This creates the Aroma Ozone pandemic plaguing Japan in Season 2]].
* KillTheOnesYouLove: Episode 12 reveals [[spoiler:he's doing this to the Amazons. He actually likes them due to the amount of work he invested to make them. But he doesn't believe it's right for humanity to be eaten to ensure their survival therefore the least he can do is kill them himself.]]
* TheLastDance: With [[spoiler:Tlaloc]] seemingly poised to [[spoiler:wipe out most of the Amazons (including himself)]], Jin elects to spend his last moments defending the Nozama Pharmacy headquarters from a hoard of newly awakened Amazons.
* LaughingMad: From Episode 12 onward.
* LukeIAmYourFather: He's [[spoiler: Chihiro's father.]]
* MercyKill: Offers to simply kill Haruka for this reason, because if he does, then Haruka will never transform into an Amazon and eat anyone, dying without blood on his hands. Haruka turns him down, instead joining the fight.
** His philosophy toward his anti-Amazon crusade in general.
* MythologyGag: While Alpha and Omega both have similar appearances to him in their incomplete forms, Jin's full suit more closely resembles the original Series/KamenRiderAmazon.
* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler: While he'll protect Chihiro as Nanaha wants him to, he'll willingly kill him if he ever loses his humanity as he tells him when he tells Chihiro he reeks of blood]].
* RatedMForManly: He chugs [[RawEggsMakeYouStronger raw eggs]] from a beer jug, doesn't seem to care about personal [[PermaStubble looks]] or [[MenCantKeepHouse hygiene]], and even [[ARealManIsAKiller "prepares"]] food by himself. To make it even better, his transformed self is called Amazon ''Alpha''.
* ProphetEyes: [[spoiler: Has these in season 2 due to going blind from his and Haruka's recent fight in the intervening 5 years. This is even reflected in his Amazon form's eyes also going white.]]
* PsychopathicManchild: Two years worth of bloodlust, guilt, and hard living turned him from a respectable scientist to a ditzy vigilante [[spoiler:to a deranged psychopath]]. To emphasize this, Nanaha alternates between being his lover and his nanny for much of their relationship.
* SanitySlippage: He becomes very unhinged near the end of 12. In 13, he ''ate'' an Amazon's heart.
** Episode 13 also shows that his personality has deteriorated from calm and smug to practically being a wild animal, howling like a beast and going LaughingMad during combat.
** [[spoiler:By the time Season 2 roll around, Jin's mind is finally reduced to a rabid serial killer that needs to be put down. Haruka is not pleased at the outcome. The major trigger is when Nanaha is pregnant with his child, who would be the first half-breed Amazon. By the time Nanaha gave birth to Chihiro, they left him. Haruka then blinds him, setting him off to WalkingTheEarth to find them both]].
* ScienceHero: A rare straightforward occasion where the creator of the Kamen Rider belt is one of its principle protagonists.
* SmugSuper: Big time. He casually walks into his first fight, gives a smug smirk, and then after transforming takes a few moments to casually point between the present monsters (you can easily imagine him thinking "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe...") before annihilating Spider Amazon.
* TookALevelInBadass: Subverted. His stats show that his offensive power has modestly increased between the two seasons (Haruka needs to upgrade to [[spoiler:New Omega]] to ultimately exceed him in that department), but he's deteriorated in every other respect both physically and mentally.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[RawEggsMakeYouStronger Eggs]]
** Episode 13 shows that it's shifted to [[spoiler: other Amazons.]]
* TricksterMentor: Seems to act like this to Haruka.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: The entirety of season 2 was in fact his fault. [[spoiler: Rather than being happy that Nanaha is pregnant, he was utterly shocked when he found out. Those involved which includes Haruka, Nanaha, and Iyu's father chose to help Nanaha escape from him. When he sees Iyu's father, he lashes at him, to the point of being infected by Chihiro's blood. He then faces off against Haruka, who begs him to end his crusade against the Amazons, but the latter is put in a position where he blinds him. Had he listened at all, Nanaha wouldn't be infected, and her parts being used to create more Amazons]].
* WouldHurtAChild: [[spoiler:Hurt? Like he would rather kill a child, just as what he planned to do on ''his own son''.]]

!!Chihiro/Kamen Rider Amazon Neo

[[caption-width-right:180:Kamen Rider Amazon Neo]]

* {{Adorkable}}: His attempts at trying to help Iyu be human again can be a bit amusing.
* AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent: He's the protagonist in season 2 taking over from Haruka.
* BattleCouple: Though, they're not exactly a couple yet, he and Iyu make a pretty amazing team. Thanks to Chihiro, Iyu has finally started using strategy in her fights.
* BerserkButton:
** Never call him an Amazon or touch him.
** Don't ever hurt Iyu in front of him.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: One of his weapons is a blade that appears from and is attached to his right arm.
* BoomerangBigot: He hates every single Amazon despite being one himself.
* BreakTheCutie: He has it worse as a child [[spoiler: when he ate and turned his mother into an Amazon, then was taken by 4C scientists to experiment on him, then finds out he was responsible to what happened to his mother, and then slaughtered 4C's workers, and finds out from Jin that Nanaha tells him should he ever loses his humanity, then Jin has to kill him]]. And this kid goes through ''a lot'' of shit in the course of Season 2.
* ClassicalAntiHero: Although he's a NiceGuy and a good fighter, Chihiro is plague with his urge to eat humans as his weakness, [[IjustWantToBeNormal his desire to be normal]], and [[spoiler:his guilt over having devoured his mother, directly or indirectly]].
* CombatTentacles: [[spoiler:His true Amazon form has a large number of them that are razor sharp.]]
* CoolBike: Much like Haruka, Chihiro has his own Junglaider with yellow eyes instead of green.
* {{Cyborg}}: His Amazon form appears to be one compared to Jin or Haruka's.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: He was assumed to be kidnapped and spent an unknown amount of time being raised by an Amazon which caused him to transform him into an Amazon, but is actually Jin's and Nanaha's son. After being saved, he was experimented on by the very people that saved him.]]
* DeclarationOfProtection: ''Orphans'' has Chihiro declaring to protect Iyu [[spoiler:after learning her past.]]
* {{Determinator}} : In ''Schooldays'' [[spoiler:he pushes Haruka back when Haruka tried to give Iyu a MercyKill despite the fact he had just taken a Violent Punish from Haruka earlier.]]
* FightMagnet: [[spoiler:After finding out that he's one of the sources of Lysogenic cells, everyone except Nagase wants him dead.]]
* FightsLikeANormal: His fighting style is largely self-taught and conservative, lacking the savagery and finesse of his predecessors.
* {{Foil}}: To Haruka. While Haruka was a human and Amazon hybrid since birth, Chihiro was kidnapped and raised by an Amazon which caused him to transform into one [[spoiler:''The Third Degree'' reveals that they are both half human hybrids but while Haruka is an experiment, Chihiro was born naturally.]]. They were both then raised in isolation but while Haruka actually enjoyed it till he finally left, Chihiro escaped. Haruka spends the first season sympathetic to Amazons and wonders if he can be still considered human, Chihiro hates Amazons and refuses to admit that he's an Amazon.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: His Amazon form looks like a blue version of Jin's Amazon and Haruka tells Mizuki to be weary around Chihiro. Knowing Haruka, he wouldn't warn those closest to be careful without a reason. [[spoiler: Because he knows Chihiro is Jin's son]].
* FreakOut: [[spoiler:Has a huge one in ''Vanishing Wings'' when he realizes the destruction he caused.]]
* FreudianExcuse: His hatred of Amazons comes because [[spoiler:he succumbed to his Amazon instincts and took a bite out of his mother. This resulted in his mother's transformation into an Amazon and presumed death.]]
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: His eyes glow blue as he summons strength to protect Iyu from Haruka in ''Schooldays''.
* HalfHumanHybrid: [[spoiler:''The Third Degree'' reveals that he's the son of Jin, also a HalfHumanHybrid, and Nanaha, a human.]]
* HatesBeingTouched: He blew up as some of his "friends" touched him. [[spoiler:The first episode of season 2 revealed that it makes him want to eat them.]]
* HorrorHunger: [[spoiler:To his displeasure, he wants to eat humans. This was present ever since birth.]]
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: Hates the Amazons and hunts them down despite being raised by Amazons and being an Amazon himself.
* IAmAMonster: [[spoiler:As a result of his rampage in ''Vanishing Wings'', Chihiro considers himself a human eating monster.]]
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Chihiro refuses to admit to being a Amazon and has deluded himself into thinking he's human, searching for vectors to feed that delusion such as working for the abusive Team X and his obsession with Iyu.
* ILoveYouBecauseICantControlYou: Why he fell for Iyu. [[spoiler:She's the only human that he doesn't want to eat.]]
* IRejectYourReality: Chihiro refuses to admit he's an Amazon, to the point where he rejects a register from Tachibana that would stop his cannibalistic urges.
* LikeFatherUnlikeSon: [[spoiler: Chihiro is like his father because they want to kill all Amazons. Except that while moody, Chihiro is a nice guy. Jin is a snarky {{Jerkass}} who lost his sanity trying to mass-murder every Amazon]].
* LoveAtFirstSight: Chihiro is immediately attracted to Iyu upon seeing her for the first time.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: [[spoiler:Chihiro's true Amazon form has six arms.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:After regaining his senses, he sees the destruction of 4C with horror and runs away before seeing the blood on his hands as he starts to break down.]]
* NotSoStoic: While he's generally quiet, push his buttons and he'll start screaming.
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:In ''Vanishing Wings'', he transforms into his Amazon form which is a multiple-armed monster with tentacles when about to be forced into stasis. He eventually transforms back into his human form without any memory of his actions, however.]]
* PatientZero: [[spoiler:'''Under Wraps''' reveals he's one of the sources for the Lysogenic cells.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: When he transforms, a device he uses for his Driver turns his eyes orange-red until he becomes an Amazon Rider. He has red Amazon eyes under his orange visor.
* RestrainingBolt: His belt allows him to safely tap into his Amazon powers, but unlike Haruka's or Jin's, his Kamen Rider form is actually [[spoiler:much weaker than his Awakened state.]]
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: As series progress and closer introduction in Season 2, the contrast shown that Chihiro is the sensitive to Haruka Manly Man. Emphasized by Chihiro main objectives and interest to get along with his fellow Amazons(in case Iyu) in more friendly manner and having such intimate bonds. Also Chihiro combat style is much reckless and lacking combat experience.
* TheStoic: He doesn't really emote a lot and generally comes off as depressed.
* SpinOffspring: [[spoiler:Turns out he's Jin and Nanaha's son.]]
* SupportingProtagonist: While he's the main character of Season 2, [[spoiler:Haruka is also involved with his existence due to Jin wanting to kill him]].
* TraumaCongaLine: [[spoiler: ''Way to Nowhere'' is a very brutal one as he considers himself a monster due to his rampage last episode and spends the episode on the run from his father, 4C and Iyu trying to kill him. While also thinking that his mother even thought to kill him due to Jin.]]
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: [[spoiler:Episode 1 of second season reveals he used to BITE the doctors that tried to treat him to the point of bleeding.]]
* TykeBomb: He was raised as an Amazon Rider by 4C.
* VigilanteMan: He works with Team X to protect the city from the recent spate of Amazon attacks, serving as TheBigGuy in the team. They don't last two episodes and he moves on to the 4C.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: Notice a trend? Unlike Haruka, who questions his own existence whether or not he is a human or an Amazon, and has a personal viewpoint of this to unawakened Amazons that just wanted to live a normal life, Chihiro openly denies that he is an Amazon and considers himself a human. His HatesBeingTouched issue is that it makes him want to eat people if they touch him. And then it comes to a head when he meets Iyu, who is an Amazon Sigma, and he has no desire to eat her because she's already dead. Since then, he goes out of his way to protect her if she gets injured too much. And then the negative side rears its ugly head in episode 9 when [[spoiler: despite all of his attempts of staying human, he realizes that he was the Amazon that ate and presumably turned his mother into an Amazon. And when he wakes up from a slaughter that he caused, albeit unknowingly, he breaks down that he feels like a monster]].
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: [[spoiler: His Amazon Origin form is one of the most obscenely powerful Amazonz seen in the entire series, capable of ''tearing through an army of Amazonz Hunters''. He's also completely mindless and uncontrollable in that state, unable to tell the difference between "friend" and "foe".]]
* YoungerThanHeLooks: [[spoiler:He was born sometime during the 5 year time skip between seasons 1 and 2, at most he's four years old]] and the first episode of season 2 states that his growth was enhanced.

[[folder:Nozama Peston Service]]

!!Tropes Applying to Nozama Peston Service in general:

* BadassNormal: The team as a whole. They have Anti-Amazon gear and can hold their own against them. The only member who's got any super powers is Mamoru, who can only use his when he transforms.
* BreakingTheFellowship: In Season two the group has gone their separate ways, [[spoiler:Shido, Nozomi and Misaki retiring before joining the hunt again, Fuku has joined 4C for money and Mamoru has turned against the team.]]
* DwindlingParty: As of episode two, [[spoiler: Ryusuke and Maehara die. The former is due to transforming into a Dragonfly Amazon and Amazon Omega cutting him in half. Maehara tried to reason with the former but gets EatenAlive]].
* HiddenDepths: Prior to being called back into action, Nozomi was a school teacher (and apparently, not as aggressive as she is as a merc), Fuku was a doctor tending his aging mother, and Misaki was a con man. We have no idea what Shido's life was like prior to being an employed merc. The same could be about Maehara [[spoiler: prior to his untimely death]].
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Their primary motivation for fighting the Amazons is simply to get paid so they can put food in their bellies.
** If Fuku and Misaki were any indication, Fuku being a doctor may have something to do with helping his mother's treatments while Misaki's in debt. The latter gets paid double due to [[spoiler: Mamoru eating his arm]]. Shido generally falls back on this philosophy whenever WhatMeasureIsANonHuman comes up.
* PrivateMilitaryContractors: The NPS serve in this role, being hired and funded by Nozama Pharmacy to kill the Amazons, but still basically being mercenaries.
* ShockAndAwe: The team's weapons are electrified, regardless if they're bullets, knives or wires. Heck, Nozomi's kicks are electrified.
* TookALevelInBadass: Become far more effective fighters in Season 2, being able to defeat Amazons without another Amazons help.
* TrueCompanions: Mercenaries or not, they all stick by each other, watching each others' backs, even treating Mamoru as one of them despite being an Amazon himself. [[spoiler: Ryusuke's transformation into a Dragonfly Amazon and Maehara's death hits them hard in episode 2]].
** The final episode cements this: [[spoiler: After Haruka fought Jin to a draw, rather than stopping Haruka and Mamoru from joining the other Amazons, they held their ¥1 coins as the two former teammates depart from society]].

!!Makoto Shido

[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shido.png]]

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: When the guys talks on how Takai forces a smile, Shido could barely hold his laugh. When Haruka says "You look like you're pretty hungry", he actually does laugh in response.
* BloodFromTheMouth: [[spoiler:In "Vanishing Wings", after being pierced with one of the tentacles of the invisible Amazon.]]
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:In ''Orphans'' he arrives in time just before Kenta eats the rest of Team X.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Tends to do this when in the field as a way of coping with the mess NPS has to do.
* DisappearedDad: [[spoiler:Episode 13 reveals he's one. He admits that he hasn't been in his children's lives and his relationship with them is based around money.]]
* HiddenDepths: [[spoiler:Episode 13 reveals that he used to be a doctor and he has a sick kid.]]
* INeedADrink: After the [[spoiler: TimeSkip]], Shido is seen drowning his sorrows away in a bar.
* IllBoy: [[spoiler:Not him but one of his kids needs a surgery which is his reason for joining NPS.]]
* MeaningfulName: His surname means "Leadership" in Japanese. His first name means "truth" or "honesty", appropriate given that he wants to know what the team are really fighting for and where the Amazons came from.
* TheLeader: Is the leader of the group.
* WhatTheHellHero: He lays this on Haruka when he lets a group of unawakened Amazons escape knowing that they could become a serious threat. He also calls him out on his WhatMeasureIsANonHuman viewpoint until Haruka tells him the awakened Amazons are the exceptions, since he's aware they're monsters.

!!Nozomi Takai

[[quoteright:350:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/takai.png]]

* ActionGirl: The only one in the NPS team.
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Averted in "HERO OR DIE" [[spoiler: where a serial killer beats her up with a pipe and with his bare fists.]]
** She also gets cuts in the face when she fights Amazons.
* BerserkButton: Harming Mamoru. She comes very close to [[spoiler: violating the "don't attack Humans" rule]] when [[spoiler: the two are saved from the pipe-wielding serial killer in Episode 8]], but she manages to stop herself.
* HiddenDepths: Despite being the most aggressive and crankiest member of the team [[spoiler:she's a school teacher after the timeskip.]]
* KickChick: One of her main moves. Shes uses this since the soles of her boots are modified to give electroshocks when a kick is done.
* KnifeNut: Uses a very large knife with an electric blade.
** In "Quo Vadis?", she handles two dual combat knives with knuckle guards.
* PerpetualFrowner: Seems to be her default expression. Misaki takes note that she doesn't smile and tries to get her to so she doesn't look like she's "ready to rumble".
* SheCleansUpNicely: While going undercover with Haruka, she really does look pretty enough despite having a visible scar on the left side of her face. The finale cements this, as she's really attractive when she's not in her mercenary rags as she had become a daycare assistant.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only woman on the team.
* {{Tsundere}}: A nonromantic example. While she's generally cranky and aggressive, she does care about the rest of the extermination team.

!!Kazuya Misaki

* [[spoiler: AnArmAndALeg: Type 3. Loses most of his left arm to a hungry Mamoru, who yearned for the taste of human flesh.]]
* AngstWhatAngst: InUniverse example: [[spoiler:He seems to have taken having a prosthetic arm well in Season 2 though there was a time skip.]]
* ArtificialLimbs: [[spoiler: Has a prosthetic left arm after Mamoru ate his left one]].
* ButtMonkey: While he's competent at his job, the team is prone to hitting him when he takes too long to make a diversion. Episode 5 cements it when he was unintentionally left behind.
* ComicRelief: His role in the series, where he's the source of comedy, if any.
* TheFace: He usually the one that deals with interacting with civilians.
* TheGadfly: [[spoiler:He takes off his prosthetic arm as a joke when he notices Hiroki is looking at it.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: Minor example but he has a tendency of saying he's jealous when he sees couples.
* HandicappedBadass: [[spoiler:Even losing his left hand doesn't stop him from being dangerous with his shotgun]]
* TheHeart: Fills this role among the NPS to the point where [[spoiler: his only thoughts while Kota was rushing him to the hospital were of how Mamoru, who had just '''''eaten his arm''''', must be terrified and alone.]]
* PerpetualPoverty: In spite of the many, many, many bonuses he racks up from killing Amazons under extreme circumstances with the rest of the team, he somehow keeps falling into debt with loan sharks.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Kazuya uses a stockless shotgun loaded with electroshock rounds.
* VomitDiscretionShot: [[spoiler: Has one when he sees Jin eating Amazon remains in the finale.]]

!!Kota Fukuda

* BrutalHonesty: In ''The Third Degree'' he openly tells Chihiro, in front of Iyu as well, that the best thing for Iyu is a mercy kill.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Acts like one as part of his role as the team's sniper.
* FriendOrIdolDecision: [[spoiler:In season 2, Fuku's sympathy for the Amazons and NPS interfere with his work on 4C. He makes the choice to ignore his feelings for his mother in ''Schooldays'']]
* FriendlySniper: To his team when they hunt down and kill Amazons in the Greater Tokyo Area.
* HiddenDepths: Fuku's the least expressive of the Exterminators, but his management of Mamoru alongside the others, as well as his overseeing his mother implies a gentler side.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Ep. 11. ''He can hit someone else's shot!''
* MercyKill: He believes this is the best thing for Iyu, referencing what happened to [[spoiler:Maehara.]]
* MissionControl: During stealth missions, he remains inside of the van to track the team's progress and alert them to threats.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Claims this as his reason for "selling out" to 4C, but retroactively subverted if you know about his mom in the hospital.
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:An incredibly tragic version when his mother transforms into an Amazon due to drink the infected water in ''Way to Nowhere'' and she transforms right in front of him.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: [[spoiler:To Team Kurosaki, being the only member that is sympathetic to Amazons.]]
* WeUsedToBeFriends: [[spoiler: What he says to Shidou by handing back his coin, deciding to stay with 4C.]]

[[caption-width-right:370:[[labelnote:Click here]]http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kamenridersigma.jpg[[/labelnote]] to see [[spoiler: Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma]]]]
* BadassBoast: "I will defeat you in X moves (X being a number he intends to beat his opponent). [[spoiler: Jin barely survived four with the intent being 5, and Haruka wasn't as lucky in three, with the intent being 4]].
* BloodFromTheMouth: [[spoiler: Justified, as he was being eviscerated by an Amazon.]]
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler:After being resurrected as Amazon Sigma, he's NotHimself, even assaulting his own TrueCompanions.]]
* EvilKnockOff: [[spoiler:Sigma to Alpha]] as his [[spoiler:belt is a modified copy of Jin's.]]
* FeelsNoPain: [[spoiler:After being resurrected as Sigma, he can't feel pain. While this is an advantage, it also has the drawback of not being able to feel injuries once the heroes manage to land them. This leads to his death when he fails to realize that the other Amazon Riders have ''very'' badly injured him until his body starts falling apart, at which point Mamoru has the perfect opening for a killing blow.]]
** [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] due to [[spoiler: him basically being a corpse reanimated with Amazon cells.]]
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: [[spoiler: Subverted, as him trying to reason with Ryusuke/Dragonfly Amazon leads to his death.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: How he dies the second time, by Mamoru's hand no less.]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: After trying to reason with a transformed Ryusuke.]]
** BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler: Came back with an Amazon Driver, [[CameBackStrong capable of transforming into Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma]]. However, his behavior implies that he CameBackWrong]]
* NotHimself: [[spoiler: Something is clearly wrong with him. The moment he reunites with his team, he smacks Mamoru aside, beats up his former friends and allies, and came very close to killing Mamoru. If Haruka didn't show up in time, he just might have]].
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: [[spoiler: RevenantZombie type with a little dose of CameBackWrong due to Maehara being revived by implanting his corpse with Amazon Cells. It's moving around, but whatever's running it ''isn't Jun.'']]
* SuperiorSuccessor: [[spoiler: The fourth type Amazon and stronger than Haruka or Jin. Had amazing regeneration capability, doesn't need protein to function, and FeelsNoPain as a result of being a revived corpse. In short, he's the perfect fighting machine. Jin even called him more of a machine than an Amazon.]]
** [[spoiler: Slightly subverted in Episode 11. The "no protein" aspect is revealed to be the result of a high grade synthetic substitute produced by Nozama. In other words, he still needs protein to at least some degree, it's just better managed.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: He becomes more involved as Season 1 draws near, so it's best to read them after you watch the episodes he's involved in.

!!Mamoru/Mole Amazon

* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: In Season 1, Mamoru is a happy and cheerful Amazon that loved the team and didn't particularity care about Amazons despite being one. [[spoiler:Come Season 2 he is much more stoic and bitter and fights for Amazons instead of the team.]]
* BerserkButton: Harming his friends.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Is a very nice person, but do ''not'' make him mad. [[spoiler:This is no longer the case in Season 2, as he becomes a stoic {{Jerkass}}.]]
* BreakTheCutie: Upon seeing both [[spoiler: Maehara and Ryusuke die]]. He gets hit with it even worse in episode 10, [[spoiler: when Maehara attempts to kill him to test his battle data]].
** He gets his worst one in the whole series in episode 13 [[spoiler: after having eaten Misaki's left arm and crying his eyes out. Haruka tries to convince him that thinking about eating someone was okay, but fails. Haruka instead convinces him to live outside human contact to avoid realizing his fears of actually eating someone]].
** He finally [[spoiler:appears again episode 5 of season 2. But this time, he has become so broken by the killing of the Amazons by humans that he's now determined to hunt humans as revenge.]]
* BrokenPedestal: [[spoiler:Towards Haruka in season 2. He is sickened that Haruka just protects the Amazons instead of fighting for them and seems to have lost all respect for his friend as a result.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:Played with. While he DID wanted to get revenge on humans for killing Amazons (and he's willing to do so by hunting them), he doesn't have any other choice and is genuinely saddened that he has to fight his old teammates for this. It's also revealed that he still can't eat humans due to his guilt over eating Misaki's arm.]]
* [[spoiler: FreakOut: An incredibly tragic one when he regains his senses after eating Misaki's arm.]]
* GameFace: Mamoru's drill nose splits open into a star-like shape towards the end of the fight with the Spider Amazon, and he seems to get stronger in the process.
* HeroicBSOD: He has a massive one in episode 3, seeing [[spoiler: Maehara]]'s dead body, to the point it affects his performance against the Queen Ant Amazon.
* InelegantBlubbering: A positively heartbreaking example in episode 3 as he [[spoiler: shakes Maehara's corpse, [[PleaseWakeUp begging him not to die.]]]]
* MagicPants: Subverted. After transforming back from his Amazon form, Mamoru is shown wrapped in a blanket and his teammates make note he goes through a lot of uniforms. Ep. 3 shows him in pants just after turning back, though.
* ManChild: Is very child-like in nature. Justified, as an Amazon, he's actually only two years old tops. [[spoiler: This makes his reaction to Maehara's death even more tragic.]][[spoiler: He completely shed this image in season 2, having become a leader to the Amazons and adopting a more calm, stoic attitude.]]
* MeaningfulName: His name means "To protect" in Japanese, which is what he will do if one of his injured comrades is surrounded by Amazons. [[spoiler: Becomes an IronicName in the wake of his partial awakening and eating of Misaki's arm.]]
** [[spoiler:As of season 2, he's now the protector of Amazons.]]
* [[spoiler:MyGodWhatHaveIDone: His reaction to realizing he ate Misaki's arm.]]
* NiceGuy: Is kind, loving person. [[spoiler: Sadly, he's no longer this in season 2, having become rather jaded.]]
* ProtagonistJourneyToVillain: Not really a full-blown villain, [[spoiler:but in season 2, Mamoru has become so jaded by the killing of the Amazons by humans that he's now determined to hunt humans as revenge and desperation to survive.]]
* RunningGag: The way he ruins his shirts whenever he transforms.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: Post [[spoiler: five-year TimeSkip]], Mamoru has become [[spoiler: [[BreakTheCutie jaded]] and [[TranquilFury angry]] due to the Amazons dying by Human hands and is implied to be hunting Humans in retaliation]].
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: He really loves hamburgers.
* TokenHeroicOrc: Mamoru, the Mole Amazon, is the only Amazon besides the two Riders who's on the heroes' side. What's more, he seems to be the only Amazon capable of not only controlling his transformations, but not turning into a mindless maneater upon transformation. [[spoiler: Sadly, in season 2 he's firmly on the side of Amazons.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler: In season 2, he not only gain a new, more powerful form, but is now a rather calm, stoic badass.]]
** TookALevelInJerkass: [[spoiler: At the same time, he finally snaps after seeing humans killing off Amazons.]]
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: As the Mole Amazon, he employs a number of grappling moves in combat.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Looks like a full grown human, but like all Amazons, he was grown in a lab and can't be more than two years old.

!!Ryusuke Otaki[[spoiler:/Dragonfly Amazon]]

* FailedASpotCheck: The team miss the signs that [[spoiler:Otaki is turning into an Amazon]], simply thinking he has a hangover.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler:After turning into an Amazon and going completely berserk, Omega kills him this way.]]
* ICannotSelfTerminate: [[spoiler:Tries to get the others to kill him before he completely loses control. Presumably he simply wouldn't be ''able'' to inflict enough damage on himself to do it himself.]]
* IJustWantToBeNormal: [[spoiler:Says in an inner monologue that all he wanted to do was be a human.]]
* MercyKill: [[spoiler:Wants his friends to do this to him. When they can't, Amazon Omega ultimately does.]]
* TheSmartGuy: Ryusuke serves as the team's research analyst in the field.

[[folder:Nozama Pharmacy]]

!!Reika Mizusawa

* BigGood: [[spoiler:In Season 2, she funds NPS.]]
* DarkSecret: She is clearly hiding something and doesn't give Shido and Haruka a straight answer, causing the latter to lose faith in her when she does not give Haruka any answers. However one of those secrets is Haruka being a third type Amazon.
* GoodIsNotNice: [[spoiler:When NPS brings back an injured Shido and Mamoru, she states if Mamoru wasn't Haruka's friend she would have let him die for his actions. She also rather cold to Fuku for joining 4C.]]
* KnightTemplarParent: Reika goes to all lengths to protect her son and have the Amazons killed.
* TheMasquerade: Responsible for NP's role in helping NPS ensure that they can cover ups the Amazons.
* NotSoStoic: She reacted badly when Haruka was injured in battle. [[spoiler:She instantly became ecstatic once he healed quickly and Kano was a FakeDefector]].
* OnlySaneMan: Seems to be the only higher up in the company who's actually treating the Amazons as the threat they actually are.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As much as she can afford to be it seems. She's the ''only'' member of the Nozama's higher ups who seems to actually give a darn about human life, tries to get Shido's team more numbers and better equipment to give them a better chance of fighting the Amazons, and even covers for Haruka to protect him from the board of directors.
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:Mentioned just once by Mizuki as having sold the house in the wake of the collapse of her company. Turns out she'd dropped off the radar to better function as the ManBehindTheMan.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: Seems to be the only higher up at Nozama who isn't a CorruptCorporateExecutive.

!!Shogo Kano

* CharacterTic: He uses a hanky to cover his nose when he thinks he's about to go to an unsanitary place.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler:As he's dying in ''Vanishing Wings'', he keeps his same even tone as he calls Reika one last time. He then says he must quit and say it was his pleasure to work with her before dying.]]
* FakeDefector: [[spoiler:He pretends to work for Tachibana and Tenjo so that the former is arms-reach from him. This carries on into season 2, where he follows Tachibana to 4C]].
* FourEyesZeroSoul: In the Nozama Pharmacy world when he tells NPS about the Amazons, they accuse him of being a monster.
* GoodIsNotNice: Remains icily professional with the NPS and attempts to be an ObstructiveBureaucrat. It doesn't take, but he's still not very nice to them. (This is, of course, assuming his [[AmbiguouslyEvil assistance to Nozama's]] ReasonableAuthorityFigure [[AmbiguouslyEvil is out of genuine good intent]].)
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler:He's bisected by Chihiro's tentacles.]]
* IHaveYourWife: In ''The Third Degree'', Kano threatens Chihiro with the knowledge that they can kill Iyu at anytime so he would tell them his origins and to follow orders.
* TheMole: [[spoiler: SCHOOLDAYS shows that he's not loyal to 4C, reporting to a shadowed person on the phone when Tachibana learns too much. VANISHINGWINGS reveals that it's Reika.]]
* NotSoStoic: He loses his nerve when he saw [[spoiler: a newly revived Jun Maehara]].
* NumberTwo: To Reika in the office and when he's needed to go out.
** In the 2nd season, he's Tachibana's assistsant.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: His continued assistance to Reika (and her trust in him) implies this.
* TheStoic: He's very calm, never showing any emotion. [[spoiler:This reaches to UpToEleven when he calls Reika in ''Vanishing Wings'' in his same tone ''dying'' because he was bisected.]]

!!Yugo Tachibana

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Season 1 has him act as if he's going to be an antagonistic force, which has him bring out Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma. But in Season 2, he has his own threat suppression team in handling new Amazons in the wetwork. However he still gives off this air whether or not he still has a hidden agenda or not.
* ArchEnemy: Tenjo of all people calls him out on this between him and Jin.
* AnOfferYouCantRefuse: Attempts this with Jin. However Nanaha knocks him out before he could finish.
* ArmsDealer: What Reika and Shogo think that he wants to do once the company is able to properly weaponize Amazon cells.
* BigGood: [[spoiler:In Season 2, he's the head of 4C which is the only force trying to stop the new infestation of Amazons.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: In the final episode, he looks noticeably disgusted and terrified when he begins to suspect that [[spoiler: the Amazons escaping may have been orchestrated by Takaaki Tenjo]].
* GodzillaThreshold: [[spoiler: Faced with a dead end to solving the Isyogenic Amazon strain and tired of Chihiro's lies when he might hold vital information to stop it, he orders him to be tortured to talk.]]
* MythologyGag: His surname was named after [[Series/KamenRider Tobei Tachibana]].
* NoOneCouldSurviveThat: [[spoiler: Chihiro's true form wraps him in tentacles and snaps him across the middle. Later revealed to have suffered eight compound fractures, is incapacitated and in surgery, but still hanging on.]]
* ReasonYouSuckSpeech: He gives a brutal one to Chihiro in ''Vanishing Wings'' [[spoiler:when he finds out that Chihiro lied about his past and that he's the source of the Isyogenic cell infection.]]
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Why he allows Chihiro to work with him, with the latter's own condition that Iyu doesn't fight when she is severely injured.
* TheStoic: In Season 2, Tachibana's flamboyant behavior is usually gone, but tends to rise up whenever he's angry.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: A far more simplified viewpoint compared to everyone else. He loathes all Amazons, considers them all monsters that should be killed. And for the people he brings back to life as Amazons, he refuses to admit he actually brought anyone back to life and considers them corpses and weapons.

!!Takaaki Tenjo

* BigBad: Is the leader of the Nozama Pharmacy, and keeping the Amazons covered up solely so they can keep the Amazon Cells to themselves.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: The man will let 4,000 man-eating monsters secretly rampage across the country just to keep the Amazon Cells property of his company.
* EvilCripple: Is wheelchair bound and decidedly a CorruptCorporateExecutive.
* EvilOldFolks: He may be old, but him releasing 4,000 Amazons to wreck havoc through out the city has just made [[EvenEvilHasStandards everyone in the pharmacy]] that he's a corrupted human being.
* TheSocialDarwinist: Has shades of this. [[spoiler: He's immensely disgusted by the mere existence of Amazon Sigma based on the view that any organism that doesn't need to eat to survive would have no reason to become any stronger.]]
** He becomes downright ecstatic when he discovers that [[spoiler: Haruka is a fusion of Reika's and Amazon cells]].
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler:Looked to be a SequelNonEntity as they neglect to mention him after the collapse of Nozama Pharmacy. Then he reappears at the tail end of season 2.]]
* YouHaveFailedMe: [[spoiler:Subverted. He sees failure as a natural outcome. What he does have issues with is personal vendettas]].

!!Takeshi Kurosaki

* BerserkButton: While he's generally pretty laid back, he hates it when Team X gets the jump on them.
* BigDamnHeroes: While 'hero' is stretching it he tends to save Chihiro and Iyu from tough spots with a barrage of gunfire.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: In ''Quo Vadis?'' he told Iyu that Chihiro shouldn't be hunted. [[spoiler:This comes to bit him later when Chihiro having lost control of his powers is killing everyone and Iyu refuses to hunt him because of Kurosaki's earlier order.]]
* {{Foil}}: To Makoto Shido. Makoto was generally eager with each mission but at the same time was morally conflicted by the idea of killing Amazons due to liking Mamoru. Kurosaki acts completely bored by his job and has no complaints against using Iyu.
* HiddenDepths: When explaining Iyu to Fukuda, we can tell he does in fact shows concern and shock when he finds Iyu, her mother and sister dead. This hints that he became a cynical {{Jerkass}} because of this and why he wants all Amazons dead.
* HypocriticalHumor: He chides Iyu for her lack of survival instinct while he himself is rather cavalier in the heat of battle, largely ambivalent to his own survival and those of his men just so long as they kill the Amazon(s) they're hunting.
* TheLeader: In charge of [=4C=]'s ground forces.
* KillThemAll: He wants to kill all Amazons because he finds them all monsters [[spoiler:like when he saw Iyu's father singing as he murdered Iyu]]
* PragmaticVillainy: Kurosaki might be an abrasive {{Jerkass}}, but he is pragmatic and clever, moderating his bad behavior for the sake of the mission's success and avoids needlessly antagonizing useful Amazons like Haruka and Chihiro.
* ShellShockedVeteran: The sight of what Iyu's father did to her is heavily implied to be what turned Kurosaki into the nihilistic {{Jerkass}} we see today.
* TheSlacker: He certainly gives off this image. He's always lazying around and has been shown to be sleeping through a meeting.
* SweetTooth: On his day off in ''The Third Degree'' he went to a sweet buffet where he was buying a lot of cake.
* TokenEvilTeamMate: Out of the morally ambiguous 4C, Kurosaki is the cruelest.

!!Ichiro Futamori

* MrExposition: Debriefs the team whenever a mission is about to start.
* NumberTwo: He acts as Kurosaki's second in command.
* PuppetKing: Modern version, [[spoiler:due to Chihiro's rampage in ''Vanishing Wings'' putting both Tachibana and Kano out of business Kurosaki puts Futamori in charge while he's actually leading the troops. Futamori is perfectly fine with this as he doesn't have to chase after Chihiro that way.]]
* ShipperOnDeck: Inverted towards Iyu and Chihiro, he always tells Chihiro that he's wasting his time as Iyu is a walking corpse.
* TheSmartGuy: In charge of [=4C=]'s research on the new Amazons encountered.

!!Iyu Hoshino/Crow Amazon

* AttackAttackAttack: Her strategy in a nutshell. Out numbered? Attack. Exhausted? Attack. Hurt? Attack.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:She was killed by her father who turned into an Amazon and brought back to life by the same process used on Jun Maehara]]
* BattleCouple: Though, they're not exactly a couple yet, she and Chihiro make a pretty amazing team. Thanks to Chihiro, Iyu has finally start using strategy when fighting.
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Averted. Due to her AttackAttackAttack fighting style, she usually has some pretty vicious cuts and bruises after a fight. But as an Amazon, she does heal from them.
* {{Catchphrase}}: After she begins to connect to her positive memories 'Fun' becomes this for her.
* DarkActionGirl: She's a very powerful fighter.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:Her father transformed into an Amazon and then killed her and the rest of her family as he sang a song he used to sing with her in childhood.]]
* DudeMagnet: Darkly parodied and lamphshaded by Kurosaki in ''The Third Degree''.
* EmotionlessGirl: She never shows any emotion even when her body is hurt beyond a reasonable point. She also doesn't say much, except when she accepts her orders. [[spoiler: Probably because she's a dead human who is reanimated into an Amazon.]]
* EyeScream: [[spoiler:Her left eye was ripped out of her skull when she was alive and eaten by her father.]]
* FeelsNoPain: She's a Sigma-type Amazon just like [[spoiler:Maehara, meaning she's a dead human reanimated as an Amazon.]] As such, she can't feel any pain. [[spoiler:''Orphans'' shows that she is able to remember pain though.]]
* {{Foil}}: [[spoiler: To Jun Maehara. Both are walking corpses infused with Amazon cells. But while Jun has ''some'' of his personality intact, Iyu has none, save for memories she can gain. Jun is compared to a machine than an Amazon due to being made to fight while Iyu is more of an emotionless machine who takes orders when given]].
* GoThroughMe: Iyu does to for Chihiro in ''Schooldays''.
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: She works with [=4C=] to hunt down the newer Amazons appearing all over Tokyo.
* MismatchedEyes: Her left eye is yellow. This is because [[spoiler:it's not her original eye]].
* MoralityChain: To Chihiro in a dark way. [[spoiler:If he starts to fall to his temptation to eat humans, Iyu will try to murder him. ''Vanishing Wings'' shows Chihiro regaining his sanity while in his OneWingedAngel mode when he realized that he unknowingly injured her.]]
* PerpetualSmiler: [[spoiler:Hiroki states that when she was alive, it seemed like she was always smiling.]]
%%* ReiAyanamiExpy:
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:Inverted. The Amazon that killed her was her own father transformed into an Amazon. Her father was actually killed by Haruka.]]
* StrongButUnskilled: [[spoiler:Kurosaki's opinion of her. While she's stronger than most Amazons, she has no fighting style or instinct to protect herself so she just charges forward.]]
* SweetTooth: [[spoiler:When she was alive, she seemed to like making cakes.]]

!!Hiroki Nagase

* AbusiveParents: Of the disappeared kid. He tells Makoto that his parents just give him money and don't actually have a role in his life. [[spoiler:Ironic considering Makoto is also one of those kinds of parents.]]
* BerserkButton: Anytime Chihiro shows any displeasure.
* BirdsOfAFeather: He's close with Takumi and Kenta as all three of them have AbusiveParents.
* BreakTheHaughty: The deaths of his friends turn Nagase from an preening {{Jerkass}} into a far more tolerable person.
* HeelRealization: [[spoiler:Played straight and sadly subversion. In ''Schooldays'' he realizes what an oblivious idiot he used to be. Then he thinks about Mamoru's yell that as Amazons they are always hunted and for a while Hiroki looks regretful for his actions but quickly states that how it should be.]]
** ''Vanishing Wing'' and ''Way to Nowhere'' demonsrate that he feels sorry for Chihiro to some degree. After the [[spoiler: 4C Massacre]], he tries to give Chihiro a hug of sympathy and is tossed aside. When [[spoiler: Chihiro is being hunted by 4C in ''Way To Nowhere'', he actively intercepts and blocks Iyu during her fight with Neo, bearhugging her so that Chihiro can escape the conflict]].
* TheLeader: Of Team X.
* TheLoad: [[spoiler: In ''Rambling Roses'', he couldn't help at all. But that's justified.]]
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: All the suffering Nagase endures goes a long way to making him become a better person.
* TheNewGuy: He was recruited by Shido to join NPS in "Quo Vadis?".
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: He was the one that found Chihiro after he escaped, he's currently renting a bar from Makoto Shido and [[spoiler:Iyu was also in his class last year.]]
* PetTheDog: Drives Iyu around her old neighborhood in ''The Third Degree'' so she can reminisce without freaking anyone out since the people there think that she's dead. Though he tries to draft her into a new iteration of Team X for the purpose of seeking revenge against the Amazons, he had no ulterior motives apart from helping his old schoolmate out before that idea popped into his head. He then tries to protect her after she's overwhelmed by a trio of Amazons that were using a local petting zoo as their hideout even though he knows that he has little chance of survival in doing so.
* {{Revenge}}: [[spoiler:He wants to kill all the Amazons after Kenta is nearly killed by Takumi who had just turned Amazon, who in turn was put down by Makoto Shido]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: [[spoiler:While evil is going too far, he is the only member of the revived NPS that has no sympathy towards Amazons.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: while he isn't a NiceGuy by a long shot, the suffering Nagase endures makes him far less rude and smug. He even treats Chihiro cordially when they meet again.
** Shown even more in ''SCHOOLDAYS'', he helps take Iyu to places from her past out of kindness, and even after he he tries to get her to join his revenge, when she's outnumbered by three Amazons he charges into battle solely to save her out of concern for her life which he would have never done for Chihiro at the beginning of the season.
** Happens again in ''Way To Nowhere,'' where his newfound sympathy for Chihiro allows him to [[spoiler: stand between Iyu and Chihiro so that Chihiro can escape having to fight her]].
* TrueCompanions: He cares a lot about Takumi and Kenta, saying the three of them have been together forever. [[spoiler:The result of Takumi turning into an Amazon and then Kenta losing his leg makes his want to kill all Amazons in revenge.]]

!!Takumi Yamashita/[[spoiler:Baboon Amazon]]

* CaughtOnTape: In charge of recording the team's encounters just to show proof that they're able to take them down.
* ZombieInfectee: [[spoiler:Well Amazon Infectee. In the second episode, he transformed into an Amazon when its revealed that his part time job uses water that turns people into Amazons. He starts eating Kenta's leg before Makoto stepped in.]]

!!Kenta Kitamura

* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:According to Nagase, the Doctors were unable to save his leg after the now Amazon Takumi attacked him. And he dies in the hospital.]]

[[folder:Amazons]]

!!Tropes Applying to Amazons in general:

* AlwaysChaoticEvil: Once they hit the 'fully awakened' stage. Before that, Amazons like Mamoru, Jin, and Haruka can be kept in control. After that? They become mindless beasts with a craving for human flesh.
* ArtificialHuman: The Amazons are this, being made of artificial virus-sized life forms called Amazon Cells.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Somewhat. The surviving Amazons that witnessed Haruka's fight with Jin do not attack the reformed NPS and leaves with Haruka and Mamoru without incident. A noticeable one is a Bat and Crab Amazons]].
* HorrorHunger: Once they transform fully, they gain a hunger for human cells.
* HyperactiveMetabolism: As shown with Mamoru and Haruka, they burn through food really quick in their monster form (which it seems most Amazons are mode locked into), and a quick bite can restore their strength.
* PickyPeopleEater: FRESH human protein is the only food they can stomach when they're far gone. Refrigerating it helps maintain the appeal, but a few minutes after the human dies, their flash becomes completely unpalatable to awakened Amazons. Savvy Amazons try to get around this problem by eating their prey very fast; others go the opposite route.
* PowerUpFood: Anything with protein, especially humans, can power them up if they get enough.
* RandomPowerRanking: Amazons are rated from E to A as a measure of how dangerous they are. However, it should be noted that this ranking refers to their ''initial'' level, and they can potentially grow stronger, as shown with the Queen Ant.
* ToServeMan: Exclusively go after humans. Justified, as their Amazon Cells go for human cells, so they're instinctively driven to eat humans. However, ones that manage to keep themselves under control in some way (like Jin, Haruka, and Mamoru) only need stuff high in protein, not specifically human protein.
* TragicMonster: Were created in a lab, and seem to have been trying to live life as normal humans, but ultimately once the medicine in their armlets runs dry, they will transform into man-eating monsters with no humanity left and unable to control their actions.

!!Spider Amazon #1

* AnArmAndALeg: During his fight with it, Mamoru rips one of its arms off.
* AndShowItToYou: How Mamoru kills it.

!!Spider Amazon #2

* AndShowItToYou: How Amazon Alpha kills it.

!!Bat Amazon #1

* AnArmAndALeg: The imperfect Omega rips its wings off.
* YourHeadASplode: The imperfect Amazon Omega kills it by squashing its head so hard it pops with probably the goriest Rider Kick ever.

!!Queen Ant Amazon/Kukizono

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Can still assume her human form and act human enough to lure prey to her hive where she can slaughter them.
* EvilLaugh: It might not exactly be a laugh, but she occasionally makes a noise that sounds like one.
* FedToTheBeast: The Ant Amazons who serve her also deliver food to her. [[spoiler: Two Nozoma agents who helped deliver the Anti-Amazon gas are dragged off by two drones and meet this fate.]]
* [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe Half the Woman She Used to Be]]: Is killed when Haruka slices her in half with his [[FinishingMove Violent Break]].
* HiveQueen: As the Peston Service finds out to their horror, her apartment building is invested by another 182 Ant Amazons.
* ItCanThink: While not seeming to retain her humanity or be quite as smart as a normal human, she's the first Amazon to imitate one and use complex plans to lure them into a trap where she can kill them. She's also smart enough to retreat and eat to regain her strength after getting attacked by Haruka.
* NippleAndDimed: [[FanDisservice Disturbingly]] [[AvertedTrope Averted.]] It's not immediately noticeable though.
* NonMammalMammaries: It's especially jarring when they found the biggest suit actor they had to be this creature.

!!Ant Amazons

* DevouredByTheHorde: The most dangerous thing about fighting them is that they're mindless berserk Amazons in a large group. [[spoiler: Kota would've suffered this fate had he not managed to set off the sprinklers and fumigate the entire building with Anti Amazon gas.]]
* ItCanThink: [[AvertedTrope Averted.]] Unlike their queen, they're all dumb as bricks and can be distracted by loud noises. [[spoiler: That moment of distraction saves Kota's life when he sets off the sprinklers and by proxy the fire alarm.]]
* {{Mooks}}: Are Rank E and serve the Queen. While there are 182 of the blasted things, individually they're extremely easy to kill to the point the Amazon Riders can rip them apart with ease and the Peston Service can hold their own against them one on one. The problem is there's ''182 of them!''
* ZergRush: Individually they're not very strong at all, but the issue is there's nearly 200 of them in one place.

!!Butterfly Amazon [[spoiler: #1]]

* ItCanThink: Much like the Queen Ant Amazon, he came up with a complex plan for gathering food. [[spoiler: [[SubvertedTrope unlike her]], he's not actually a berserk Amazon.]]
* ScarfOfAsskicking: His Amazon form has one for some reason.
* ShoutOut: Has blue and yellow parts and electric attacks as a nod to Inazuman.

!!Larva Amazon [[spoiler: Butterfly Amazon #2]]

* AmbiguousGender: We never see its human form, making it impossible to tell.
* MadeOfIron: It's incredibly durable, consistently tanking damage up to and including being ''[[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice impaled.]]''
* NiceHat: [[spoiler: Its molted form has one for some reason.]]
* RazorWind: [[spoiler: Its molted form is capable of hurling it's wing scales to emulate this.]]
* SlashedThroat: [[spoiler: Amazon Omega's Violent Punish kills it in this way.]]

!!Shrike Amazon #1

* AmbiguousGender: Much like the Larva Amazon, we never get to see it's human form.
* AmbiguousSituation: We never really see if it dies or not, as it only appears in a FlashBack showcasing Haruka's disaster of a first proper hunt.
* FeatheredFiend: It's an Amazon based on a Shrike. It qualifies handily.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: It's victims met this fate, [[ShownTheirWork just like the prey of a real Shrike.]]

!!Shrike Amazon #2/Hajime Koyama

* FeatheredFiend
* HealingFactor: His evolved form had a bulge of nutrients on his back that he could use to heal his wounds.
* ManipulativeBastard: Saved himself from being killed by Haruka by shifting back to his human form.

!!Crab Amazon

* AffablyEvil: He's very polite and soft-spoken to the Amazons in his restaurant, and always wants to reassure them if they feel uncomfortable. He also cooks unsuspecting humans with a big smile on his face. Even while he's in the face of danger, he tells his customers to escape so they don't get killed.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Is only ever referred to as "Owner".
* MadeOfIron: His shell is pretty tough.
* ToServeMan: His entire MO is to kill humans and feed them to the ''Unawakened'' Amazons at his restaurant.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: [[spoiler: Much of Season 2's plot and main conflict can be indirectly pinned on him, as Mamoru chancing across one of his 'manburgers' causes his partial awakening, forcing him to leave human society at the end of Season 1.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: It's ambiguous exactly how "villainous" he is, but he starts losing it when his plans go down the tubes and [[spoiler: His Amazons Register indicates he's awakening.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He sincerely believes that eating human flesh will slow the process of an Amazon's awakening, and seeks to continue gathering meat for his "patrons"

!!Bat Amazon #2

* AmbiguousGender: We never see it's human form.
* YourHeadAsplode: Haruka punches through it's head to kill it.
* {{Jobber}}: It only really exists to get killed by Haruka.

!!Wasp Amazon/Mika

* TheImmune: One of the few Amazons that the Anti-Amazon gas doesn't effect.
* ToServeMan: She was one of the patrons of the Crab Amazon's restaurant.
* TragicMonster: She only wanted to live a peaceful life, but eventually awakened despite her efforts and had to be put down.

!!Elephant Amazon

* BrainFood: Prefers to feed on human brains by sucking them through the ear canal.
* MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate: Is a doctor, and uses that position to entrap his next victims/meals.

!!Rose Amazon/Shuuya

* BaitAndSwitch: We're led to believe the Rose Amazon is a beautician working at a salon who decapitates her victims. The Amazon turns out to be her boyfriend, and understandably gets enraged when 4C wounds her while assuming she was the Amazon.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder
* MagicPants: Somehow keeps his pants on even when transformed.
* OffWithHisHead: His favored killing method.
* SomethingAboutARose.
* TragicVillain: Shuuya is an example of an Amazon that tries to live a normal life with a human fiancee named Emily. However, she gets shot and he kills those involved. When he sees Emily, he decapitates her to end her suffering. Then he dies at the hands of Omega and Neo.

!!Mizuki Mizusawa

* ActionGirl: She joins 4C in season 2.
** FauxActionGirl: We rarely see her pull the trigger in any given episode she shows up in, since she is usually shown aiming her guns. Episode 9 finally shows her actually use an anti-Amazon round.
* AllTheOtherReindeer: She doesn't seem to have any friends at school.
* BigSisterInstinct: Mizuki really cares about Haruka; it gets to the point she wanted him to be free instead of being confined in his house.
* BreakTheCutie: She witnessed an Amazon eat her taxi driver alive and saw her brother become Omega in front of her.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler: What befell the relationship between her and Haruka]].
* IntergenerationalFriendship: Her and Fukuda develop one in season 2 after she joins Team Kurosaki.
* KillTheOnesYouLove: [[spoiler:''PERSONA NON GRATA'' makes clear that Mizuki isn't afraid of killing Haruka if she needs to.]]
* MoralityPet: Is this to Haruka. [[spoiler: Even when she opposes him, Haruka will stop his attack on Iyu when she's present]].
* NiceGirl: While she was reasonable freaked out when she saw Haruka transform in front of her, she never treated him any different. Part of her desire to fear that Haruka will hurt himself.
* OnlyFriend: Haruka is the only person she is close to, explaining why she's so desperate for him to come home.
* RichesToRags: [[spoiler:She reveals in ''PERSONA NON GRATA'' between the season 1 and season 2, Nozama Pharmacy was closed down and her mother even sold the house.]]
* SoleSurvivor: She is the only survivor of Team Aoyama, who were trying to investigate the water contaminated by Lysogenic Amazon Cells during a raid. Which lead her to joining Kurosaki's team.
* TookALevelInBadass: She goes from a regular schoolgirl who is often a target by Amazons to a frontline soldier who can kill an Amazon.
** TookALevelInJerkass: At the same time, as soon as Haruka intends to MercyKill Iyu, she steps in front of her. She declares she won't hesitate to pull the trigger on him. [[{{Understatement}} Five years must've been bad on her]].

!!Nanaha Izumi

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Izumi is generally colder to Jin but the series shows she truly does care about him.
* BigDamnHeroes: Practically in her job description.
* CombatTentacles: [[spoiler:Like Chihiro's true Amazon form, her Amazon form is based on a jellyfish, armed with has a large number of them that are razor sharp.]]
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler: After turning into an Amazon, she was shredded to death by 4C. We don't even see what it looks like, but her parts flew everywhere in pieces. Subverted ''Way to Nowhere'' reveals that she survived]].
* DismantledMacGuffin: [[spoiler: Her body parts still in Amazon form and were discovered by Mamoru's group. Haruka only found one of her arms, and Mamoru apparently found the rest. Turns out the body parts are confirmed to have Chihiro's DNA, while Nanaha is not only in one piece but still alive, as the Jellyfish Amazon.]]
* InvisibleToNormals: [[spoiler: Her Amazon form can only be seen by other Amazons. The only way to see her is through her shadows]].
* MamaBear: Downplayed. [[spoiler:While she run from Jin to protect Chihiro, Jin states that she also wanted Jin to kill Chihiro if he ever lost control.]]
* MissingMom: [[spoiler: Chihiro's mother. Her disappearance suggests why Jin is WalkingTheEarth]].
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler:''Under Wraps'' implied her death by showing her Amazon body exploded into pieces. ''Way to Nowhere'' reveals that she's still very much alive.]]
* OfficialCouple: With Jin.
* ParentsAsPeople: [[spoiler:Apparently while she loves Chihiro and was even willing to run from Jin to protect him. She was willing to kill him if he became a danger to humanity.]]
* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: [[spoiler:She dies in between the time skip of season 1 and season 2. Subverted when ''Way to Nowhere'' reveals that she survived.]]
* SupremeChef: Jin's opinion of her cooking.

* ArtificialHuman: The third type Amazon.
Characters/KamenRiderAmazonsAmazonRiders
* AntiHero: [[spoiler:A rather downplayed example starting from Season 2. While he still retain some of his heroic traits, Haruka goes into great lengths to stop Chihiro from meeting up with an already unstable Jin. It doesn't work.]]
Characters/KamenRiderAmazonsHumansAndCompanies
* FinishingMove:

* JerkassHasAPoint:
* LukeIAmYourFather: He's [[spoiler: Chihiro's father.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[RawEggsMakeYouStronger Eggs]]

[[quoteright:180:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amazonneos_4.png]]

* BerserkButton:
* SpinOffspring: [[spoiler:Turns out he's Jin and Nanaha's son.]]

[[/folder]]

* FeelsNoPain: [[spoiler:After being resurrected as Sigma, he can't feel pain. While this is an advantage, it also has the drawback of not being able to feel injuries once the heroes manage to land them.

* BerserkButton: Harming his friends.

* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler:He's bisected by Chihiro's tentacles.]]

* DarkActionGirl: She's a very powerful fighter.

[[folder:Team X]]

* TheLeader: Of Team X.

[[/folder]]

* FeatheredFiend

* BladeBelowTheShoulder
* MagicPants: Somehow keeps his pants on even when transformed.
* OffWithHisHead: His favored killing method.
* SomethingAboutARose.

* BroughtDownToBadass: Subverted from season 2 onward. His blindness has made him a weaker, more wild fighter. Despite this handicap, he is still an unchecked threat to nearly everyone he encounters and can slaughter most Amazons with ease. Against Omega and Neo however, he doesn't stack up anymore.[[note]] Omega knows enough of Jin's style to be able to counter it; being the one that blinded him. Neo and Alpha are evenly-matched on their own....until [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Origin comes out]].
* ByronicHero: He can be an ass, but he does have benign reasons for killing the MonsterOfTheWeek. While he does begrudgingly fights with Haruka and the extermination team, he does it only for his and Nanaha's sakes.
