Founded in 1928 by James P. Cannon, Max Shactman, and Martin Abern after their expulsion from the CPUSA before it was later torn apart by the bitter rivalry between Foster and Browder, the Communist League of America (Opposition) is the predominant - and only surviving - Trotskyist party in America. Dedicated to ideas of Left Internationalism in pursuit of the Permanent World Revolution due to America's unique place in the world as a new Socialist power untethered to previous power structures, freeing the nation to pursue the global revolutionary struggle without hindrance, the CLA is dedicated to their singular goal despite the failings of their ideological namesake, but are much maligned by their fellow Leftist across the spectrum and across America, finding few allies outside of major urban centers like New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and other hubs of Slavic emigres within America, though they have found some purchase within the IWW and the AWP. Under Cannon and his Internationalist coalition in the CLA, America shall embrace what they perceive to be the true form of Bolshevism as they prepare to take up the torch of Global Communism. (Burnham succession)

The American Workers Party formed in 1933 and was once headed by pacifist A.J. Muste, seemingly destined to fuse with James Cannon's Trotskyists in the CLA before being supplanted by the Trotskyist-turned-Social Nationalist and Conservative Socialist James Burnham. Now walking its own path, the AWP advocates for a syncretic mixture of shackled Technocratic and Nationalized economics supporting an Americanist breed of militarist Socialist Nationalism that borders on outright Populist Conservatism at times while desiring a loyal Managerial class to work on behalf of the Revolution while the Vanguard around Burnham focuses on the destiny of America, free from day to day worries as our elevated and supreme executive. Burnham's AWP further pursues the creation of a greater American popular state supported and expanded by a form of red pseudo-imperialism pursued for the good of the American people and the wider Revolution, despite outcries from their rivals across the Left that call them reactionaries in sheep's clothing. Under James Burnham and his strange views, his wide coalition of varied Leftists, Populists, Imperialists, Nationalists, and Conservatives, and his growing military-industrial complex, Burnham has created the New World's first true breed of 'Neo-Socialism' that the AWP now brings to the entire nation in a questionable triumph of American Totalism.

Technocracy Inc. has long served in the shadow of Burnham and then Lovestone, but are now in a position of power of their own accord, ready to reshape society according to their technocratic ideals. Led by Director Howard Scott, supported by his friend, famous geophysicist and long-time right-hand man Marion King Hubbert, and a clique of loyal experts including Walter Rautenstrauch, Seymour Melman, Edward Condon and J. Robert Oppenheimer. The movement is not without a certain factionalism, however, as evidenced by the existence of the so-called 'Green' faction, led by Benton [=MacKaye=] and Leland Olds, calling for a form of agrarian and environmentalist technocracy, and the 'Red' faction of Stuart Chase and Alice Barrows, supporting the mixing of technocratic ideals with certain Communist, Syndicalist or Georgist ideas. Some technocrats also doubt Scott's oratory and leadership skills, and even question his technical competence... (Scott succession)

->In-Game Biography: (Alaska) \\
Jay Lovestone was born as Jacob Liebstein in Belarus. His father moved to America, and became attached to Socialist ideas, eventually joining the fledgling American Communist Party. As Communism became overshadowed by Syndicalism, Lovestone refused to adapt, keeping true to his Communist ideas even has Communism collapsed. This gained him many enemies within the new Socialist Party of America, who he refused to support. As America broke out into Civil War, Lovestone begrudgingly supported the Combined Syndicates, however, was exiled once it was found out that he was feeding information about the government to [=MacArthur=]. With nowhere else to flee; Lovestone took a ship to the last place that would take him in, Alaska. Now in Alaska, Lovestone has rallied other exiled to his side, and helped for the new Neo-socialist ideas that were made famous in Alaska. Now in charge of Alaska, Lovestone will set out to reform the Last Frontier with new socialistic ideals.
