* TheBabyOfTheBunch: During the Shibuya Incident [[spoiler:it's revealed that Dagon's actually curse womb. His rage at Hanami's death spurs him to shake this form and emerge as a much more intimidating and powerful cursed spirit.]]

* TookALevelInBadass: In its regular form, this curse is harmless and silly-looking. While fighting [[spoiler:Naibito, Nanami, and Maki]], however, it awakens and evolves into its intended form, and becomes startlingly intelligent, competent and dangerous.

* EvilutionaryBiologist: Kenjaku wants to optimize Cursed Energy and bring forth the peak of its potential, which he believes can't be found in humans as they are as he has already pushed that limit as far as it can go [[RefugeInAudacity through viscious experimentation]] and allying with several cases of WorldsBestWarrior throughout the ages. To fix this, he's willing to commit abhorrant acts and has already been doing so in the shadows for centuries, and by the time of the main series, he's not above plunging the whole world into chaos in the name of discovering the next stage of humanity.

* VilerNewVillain: [[ZigzaggingTrope Zig-zagged]]. He freely admits that he lacks Geto's WellIntentionedExtremist motivations, but he's [[NothingPersonal much less malicious]] than the sadistic Disaster Curses or Sukuna.

* LogicalWeakness: Unlike Megumi who can de-summon his damaged {{Familiar}}s to save them for another day and receiving benefits for his remaining ones when a Shikigami is permanently lost, Kenjaku's Cursed Spirits can be exorcised like any other Curse. Against a Sorcerer of Yuki Tsukumo's caliber, who can effortlessly destroy his Elephant God in one blow and has AntiMagic-like properties while using her Technique that protect her from their powers, bringing out any further Cursed Spirits would just be giving up potentially valuable aces up his sleeves as CannonFodder, forcing him to fight using his GravityMaster powers and Domain instead.
** Kenjaku might be immensely powerful, but he's still a parasitic brain in the very human Geto's cranium. If the brain can't send signals to the body then it doesn't matter how powerful you are anymore--and Yuta exploits this by cutting off Kenjaku's head.

* UnderestimatingBadassery: Kenjaku prides himself on his knowledge but even he has his blind spots: especifically Yuta Okkotsu, due to the fact that his knowledge comes from Geto he geniunely believes that Rika is the one responsible for the young sorcerer's power. [[spoiler: in a fine bit of DramaticIrony Yuta ends up being the one killing him.]]

** Yuji and Megumi stood no chance against the first one they face, and Yuji resorted to [[GodzillaThreshold unleashing Sukuna]] to get rid of it. Sukuna promptly dominates it with no effort, while only making up two fingers of his power.

* SerialKiller: A hedonistic one, as he mentions that killing "is so much fun". It may explain why he [[spoiler:couldn't keep himself from going after Megumi instead of leaving in Shibuya; he was so upset over his defeat against Nanami that murder took the edge off for him]].

* KamehameHadoken: His Maximum: Uzumaki technique is essentially this. By converting any number of Cursed Spirits under his command into raw Cursed Energy, he can unleash the resulting projectile as a devastatingly, destructive blast.

* EyelessFace: Her cursed spirit form has a distinct eyeless appearance, though a large eye appears on her face once she is at full power. Gojo himself doesn't seem to be certain he could beat her if it came down to it.

* WaveMotionGun: Gains the ability to fire a ginormous one that overpowers over 4000 curses after [[spoiler:Yuta professes his love to her and promises to join her in death.]]
* WorldsStrongestWoman: Among cursed spirits, she is regarded by Suguru Geto as an unparalleled existence due to her seemingly unlimited supply of Cursed Energy, referring to her as the "Queen of Curses". He believes capturing her will single-handedly secure his victory over his enemies at Jujutsu High, including ''Gojo''. WordOfGod confirms she is weaker than Sukuna, however.

* WrestlerInAllOfUs: In the anime, [[StrongAndSkilled by preventing Dagon from backwards movement by wrapping Playful Cloud around it's neck]], Toji hits the Cursed Spirit with the mother of all dropkicks.

* ExtraParentConception: According to Choso, he and the other Death Paintings had three birth parents, their mother who birthed them, the Curse Spirit who impregnated her, and the previous Noritoshi Kamo, [[spoiler: who was by then another of Kenjaku's identities]], who mixed his own blood into the union and subsequently aborted the still developing fetuses who still remained alive [[AndIMustScream as cursed objects]]. Undertandably, their mother is the only one that Choso loves.

* WorldsStrongestWoman: Among cursed spirits, she is regarded by Suguru Geto as an unparalleled existence due to her seemingly unlimited supply of Cursed Energy, referring to her as the "Queen of Curses". He believes capturing her will singlehandedly secure his victory over his enemies at Jujutsu High, including ''Gojo''.

* ArcVillain: They're the first major antagonistic group in the series and are behind the conflicts for multiple arcs until they're all dispatched at the end of the Shibuya Incident arc, where [[BigBadEnsemble Geto and Sukuna]] start taking a more active hand in things.

* DeathIsCheap: They're embodiments of the immense negativity humanity feels towards specific aspects of nature. Exorcising them only removes them from the fray temporarily, but [[AsLongAsThereIsEvil as long as negative thoughts towards these concepts exist]], they'll simply return albeit with completely different egos and no memories of their previous incarnations. [[spoiler:Jogo]] is accepting of this though, believing that even if the new Disaster Curses will be nothing like them at all, and will have no memory of or even fondness for their former allies, a meeting of such successors will still have meaning. [[spoiler:Mahito]], who is on his first life, isn't so receptive to this notion.
