* RedHerring: It was initially implied that the reason she was able to return as a Special-Grade Vengeful Spirit was that she was potentially a sorceror, with her DarkAndTroubledPast suggesting that her parents' mysterious deaths and disappearances was linked to her as the cause somehow. However, Gojo ultimately reveals that this was not the case and ''Yuta'' was the actual sorceror who subconsciously cursed her spirit to stay with him.

* PowerLevels: Cursed Spirits are placed on a Grade system to determine their overall power and threat, with the scale going from 4 to 1 (with 4 being weakest and one being the strongest), with Special Grade referring to ones that go beyond the typical scale. While exact power levels are difficult to determine, the basic rule of thumb goes like this:
** Grade 4 ones are weak enough that a Muggle with a baseball bat can be expected to deal with them.
** Grade 3 can generally be handled through use of firearms like a handgun, which would probably place them on the same level as animals like tigers or bears.
** Grade 2 are the kind that require heavy duty firearms like a shotgun, and even that's said to be cutting things close.
** Grade 1s represent a massive step up in threat, as it's said that even bringing a tank to the fight not be sufficient.
** And Special Grades are said to require mass ordinance on par with a carpet bombing run to have any chance at taking them down, though, as mentioned in NonIndicativeDifficulty above, they can vary greatly in power.

* VillainousValor: Fittingly for a NobleDemon in a story where the heroes are wholly willing to be pragmatic, Hanami often acts more like a hero than a villain. He is singlehandedly going against a much larger number of sorcerers during the Kyoto Goodwill event without hesitation, expresses consistent respect for his enemies and a desire for honorable combat, even telling his foes outright that he wishes them the best in their next lives, and holds his own and keeps adapting even when Todo and Yuji are clearly winning their fight. He gets up for a second round afterward, and only finally flees when he realizes staying would require him to fight [[WorldsStrongestMan Gojo]] and die senselessly. That said, his VillainousValor ends up {{Deconstructed}} in the Shibuya Incident--[[spoiler: When Gojo seems to challenge him to a proper duel, Hanami is happy to stop holding hostages and engage Gojo in a straight fight without protection, only for the comparatively practical Gojo to immediately reactivate his full power and obliterate Hanami, showing how impractical taking that sort of attitude is]].

* LogicalWeakness: Unlike Megumi who can de-summon his damaged {{Familiar}}s to save them for another day and receiving benefits for his remaining ones when a Shikigami is permanently lost, Kenjaku's Cursed Spirits can be exorcised like any other Curse. Against a Sorcerer of Yuki Tsukumo's caliber, who can effortlessly destroy his Elephant God in one blow and has AntiMagic-like properties while using her Technique that protect her from their powers, bringing out any further Cursed Spirits would just be giving up potentially valuable aces up his sleeves as CannonFodder, forcing him to fight using his GravityMaster powers and Domain instead.
** Kenjaku might be immensely powerful, but he's still a parasitic brain in the very human Geto's cranium. If the brain can't send signals to the body then it doesn't matter how powerful you are anymore--and Yuta exploits this by cutting off Kenjaku's head.
