* FatalFlaw: Greed and Laziness. Brendan takes high-risk jobs that could easily incriminate him, despite already being a billionaire. He also doesn't spend enough time covering his tracks, despite working in a job where secrecy is of utmost importance. He's also extremely hedonistic, paying five grand for an attractive escort instead of a bodyguard and wearing extremely vibrant clothes when he's trying not to draw attention to himself.

* FatalFlaw: Greed and Laziness. Brendan takes high-risk jobs that could easily incriminate him, despite already being a billionaire. He also doesn't spend enough time covering his tracks, despite working in a job where secrecy is of utmost importance.
* HypocriticalHumour: Brendan mocks the fashion show models for their style of dress. This is coming from a guy who wears a blue plaid suit with orange pants.

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Brendan really does not like Asians or their burner phones.
* UnwittingPawn: His dialogue during the mission indicates he's just realized he's being used by forces in the Chinese government to stage some sort of power play, and isn't too happy about this.

to:

* OhCrap: Brendan has inadvertently gotten in the middle of a cyber war between two corrupt Chinese officials who are making requests that Brendan has no hope to achieve. He's also left many tracks leading back to him and is being manipulated by the Chinese government, being tossed around at their whim. It's obvious he's not having a good day.
* ProperlyParanoid: When you've set up an espionage driven cyber identity theft against a member of the Chinese government at the request of their opposition who obviously doesn't care if you're eliminated, it's completely normal that you would be fearing for your life.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Brendan really does not like Asians or their burner phones.
phones. This may be a reaction after being tossed into a conspiracy being lead by the Chinese government which has soured his opinion on them.
* Reitrony: Brendan might still be alive if he hadn't started accepting more intense jobs. He was already an IT billionaire by this point.
* TooDumbToLive: Brendan has a habit of isolating himself from everyone in sight and leaning off railings and walking through puddles near power circuits. He also failed to realise that maybe it is a good idea to spend a little more time covering your tracks after playing a role in sabotaging the Chinese government. He also likes to mingle in open places despite being a criminal who excels in espionage and secrecy.
* UnwittingPawn: His dialogue during the mission indicates he's just realized realised he's being used by forces in the Chinese government to stage some sort of power play, and isn't too happy about this.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Vito has a playful and knowledgeable approach to weapons, usually making flippant remarks while giving accurate and astute descriptions about his weapons. He can become very threatening if pressed, though.

Added DiffLines:

* Expy: An amoral, flippant, and ruthless arms dealer with a thick Eastern European accent and a prominent beard; Vito could come across as a thinner, more serious version of Marcus Kincaid.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Vito seems like a goofy and friendly person who is enthusiastic about weapons. Press him hard enough and he shows his ruthless nature.
* GunNut: Vito really likes his munitions.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Vito has escaped justice for many years. Then 47 came along...
* LackOfEmpathy: Vito has no problems with arming a militia that is prepared to massacre innocent civilians. He makes flippant statements at the expense of the people he will inevitably get killed.
* OhCrap: Vito has this reaction when he realises that one of his men is an undercover agent. He drops his playful facade immediately.
* ProperlyParanoid: Vito is aware that he's made many enemies and becomes freaked out when he realises he is compromised. Unfortunately, an undercover Interpol agent isn't the worst of his problems.

Added DiffLines:

* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: Both in dialogue and mission wise. When Vito realises he has been compromised, he panics and immediately plans to evacuate. If he is compromised by 47, he will evacuate through the tunnels.
* SharpDressedMan: Vito dons a blue waistcoat, black tie and white dress shirt. He's noticeably more dapper than most of the targets.
* TheSociopath: Charming, outwardly friendly, self serving, and lacking any basic form of empathy, Vito fits this trope to a T.
* SunglassesAtNight: He wears sunglasses underground. This is probably to hide the fact that he's blind in one eye.
* VillainousBreakdown: When Vito realises one of his men is onto him, Vito drops his goofy nature and becomes much more paranoid and irritable.

* CharacterTics: Diana notes he is meeting up with an escort at the Sanguine Fashion Show, and this information can be used to help find him. In the mission, following the escort is useful for locating him, but doesn't really help in isolating and killing him.
* DeathFromAbove: Probably the most risk-free way to kill him is to use a silenced pistol to drop a chandelier on his head at the isolated staircase while he's on his way to or from the [=IAGO=] auction. However, this is far from the fastest way to kill him since it takes a while for his pathing to take him to that location.

! Non-Targets

[[folder: Shadow Client (Lucas Grey/[[spoiler:Subject 6)]]]]
[[quoteright:270:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadowclient.png]]

->Voiced by: John Hopkins

A mysterious man working in the shadows, who appears between levels in the CGI cutscenes. Is apparently focused on bringing down Providence, even if he has to use the ICA and 47 as unwitting pawns to do so.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: He's certainly up to ''something'', but it's not yet clear where he falls on the morality spectrum.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: [[spoiler: The new ''Hitman'' series seems to be a soft reboot[=/=]retcon, which goes out of its way to avoid mentioning 47's gonzo sci-fi cloning origins. Thus, while 6 is confirmed as one of the Ort-Meyer children, it's never mentioned whether or not he's a product of late 20th century genetic engineering.]]
* AscendedExtra: [[spoiler: Number 6 had previously been mentioned in ''Hitman: Contracts'' and ''Hitman: Enemy Within'' as a childhood bully of 47 as well as his first kill. Here it turns out he was 47's best friend, 47's memory presumably having been altered by Ort-Meyer to distance him from his rebellious streak.]]
* BadassGrandpa: While his exact age is not clear, he seems to be around the same age as Agent 47, who is 55 in the game. Doesn't stop him from being just as capable as 47 when it comes to assasinations.
* BatmanGambit: [[spoiler:He orchestrated the hit on Jordan Cross to lure the latter's father Thomas, a reclusive media mogul, to attend his son's funeral so he could kill him and drain his accounts]]. It's likely he got the idea from 47's similar gambit to take down Hayamoto in ''Hitman 2: Silent Assassin''.
* TheChessmaster: He is secretly manipulating 47 and the ICA into carrying out his agenda by strategically leaking info about his targets to people who would want them dead as a result so they hire the ICA to take them out.
* ClickHello[=/=]DangerTakesABackSeat: How he introduces himself to the businessman who holds "the key".
* CombatPragmatist: As he admits, he plays dirty. He hides in the car of a providence member to assault him from behind, and [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim plans on simply sniping 47]] after the latter eliminates his allies. He doesn't go through with it, but comes off much smarter than others who've tried to kill 47 because of it.
* DavidVersusGoliath: He's a private citizen with some degree of black bag training who manages to become an existential threat to the secret cabal that essentially runs the world. In an early cutscene he even discusses how a small player can manage to defeat a much stronger opponent ("play dirty").
* DiscOneFinalBoss: Season 1 sets him up as the BigBad of the new ''Hitman'' series. In Season 2, [[spoiler: he's revealed to be 47's childhood friend, and the two of them team up to take down Providence after 47 remembers his childhood vow to do so due to them being Ort-Meyer's true backers.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Possibly. When asked if he has a family, he remained silent.
* EvilBrit: Has an accent that's remarkably similar to [[Creator/SeanBean Sean Bean's]].
* EvilVersusEvil: He's certainly not an outright good guy, but the organization he's fighting, Providence, aren't exactly saints either.
* {{Foil}}: The ending of ''Freedom Fighters'' heavily implies he's another of Ort-Meyer's children ([[spoiler: which is confirmed in ''Hitman 2'']]), and he possesses many of the skills that 47 does. Similar to 47's work as an international assassin, he's spent the past 3 decades working as a mercenary-for-hire in conflict zones all over the world. Fittingly, while 47 favors a more surgical approach as a stealthy assassin, the Shadow Client thinks more like a soldier and his methods, while still based on guile and manipulation, tend to be somewhat louder and more explosive in nature. [[spoiler: Conversely, he escaped before going through the enhanced mental conditioning that 47 went through, as a result he thinks and feels more like a normal human being (including feeling guilt and anger) compared to the more stoic and reserved 47.]]
* ForgottenFallenFriend: [[spoiler: ''Hitman 2'' reveals that he was another of Ort-Meyer's child subjects and a friend of 47. However, he was assumed dead after a failed escape attempt by him and 47, and 47 eventually forgot about him due to the enhanced mental conditioning Ort-Meyer put him and the surviving subjects through.]]
* ItsPersonal: Possibly. While 47 has killed some horrible people, others, even worse people have risen to fill their place. According to him, seeing the consequences of this is what defines him.
--> '''The Shadow Client:''' I have seen the consequences. I have felt the cost. ''That's'' what defines me.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: His specialty; a lot of the targets he assigns to you are collateral in his secret war with Providence such as the Bangkok targets (who served as bait) and IAGO (who were loose ends). But people were ready to pay for their deaths with good reasons.
** Cross between this and KickTheDog when he [[spoiler:shoots the agent who had given him the key to Providence's computer room]].
* MissionControl: [[spoiler:He serves this role in the final two missions in ''Hitman 2'']].
* MoralityPet: Olivia Hall is apparently this to him. At the least he seems genuinely concerned for her safety.
* NoNameGiven: Currently, he is only known as "The Shadow Client". 47 comes up with the name after ICA realizes his existence at the end of the Bangkok mission, and he is referred as such from that point onwards. [[spoiler:His name, or rather the alias he goes by, is revealed to be Lucas Grey in ''Hitman 2'']].
* TheProfiler: He was able to identify several 47's past victims from previous games, and given that every death was listed as unsolved or accidental, and that there was likely no consistent M.O. to link them, it's surprising he was able correctly deduce that 47 was behind every kill.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: The members of his QuirkyMiniBossSquad in "Freedom Fighters" seem to refer to him as such. Be that as it may, he has almost no reaction when 47 kills them all.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:He was another of Ort-Meyer's experiments who escaped from Providence's grasps and was a childhood friend of 47 (something which was heavily foreshadowed at the end of ''Freedom Fighters'')]].
* TheyKnewTheRisks: When Rose and the other targets of Colorado are killed, he reassures Olivia with this.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Zigzagged. He watches 47 from afar with a sniper rifle, but doesn't actually shoot. This shows that he doesn't care about how his opponents die, as long as they die, a trait he shares with 47.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: After receiving the IAGO files from Novikov, he orders their identities and operation be leaked to MI6 to tie up loose ends. This results in [=MI6=] ordering the assassination on Novikov and Margolis, which 47 performs the very next day.
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: Providence considers him a [[TerroristWithoutACause terrorist with no higher goal than creating chaos]] and believe him to be the "greater evil" compared to them and their AncientConspiracy. Diana is quick to point out that he's only a "terrorist" [[WrittenByTheWinners if Providence wins]].

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_constant_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:The Constant]]

->Voiced by: Philip Rosch

A high ranking member of Providence, who supervises the Heralds and acts as the organization's primary agent.
----
* AffablyEvil: Polite, soft-spoken, and a high-ranking agent for the AncientConspiracy that controls the world.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: As seen in Hitman 2, he is capable of pulling a lot of information from thin material.
* BerserkButton: The only thing that seems to rattle him is his loyalty being questioned [[TreacheryIsASpecialKindOfEvil or betrayed.]]
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: [[spoiler:In the Isle of Sgàil mission, killing him results in instant mission failure since your goal is to bring him in for interrogation]].
* TheChessmaster: While the idea could be from his superiors, he pulls off an interesting trick; He promises Diana information about 47's past if the ICA helps them to get rid of the Shadow Client. [[spoiler:When Diana and 47 instead assist Lucas Grey in capturing the Constant, he [[ExactWords does just that]] by informing her that it was 47 who orphaned Diana to fulfill an assassination contract. Note that since revealing info means death when you work for Providence, (especially at his position) he likely didn't even care about his killswitch; he played along just to give Diana the middle finger one last time before he is disposed of.]]
* CreepyMonotone: He speaks in this manner, rather reminiscent of the G-Man from ''VideoGame/HalfLife''.
* DeadpanSnarker: When speaking to [[spoiler:Diana after the death of Soders]].
--> '''The Constant''': You could have just sacked the poor guy.
* TheDragon: He is revealed to be this in ''VideoGame/{{Hitman 2}}'' as he reports directly to the Partners, the true heads of Providence.
* ExplosiveLeash: [[spoiler:In ''Hitman 2'', after Janus' assassination he's forced to inject himself with a remote-controlled killswitch to prove his loyalty to Providence]].
* FingerTenting: One of his more unusual mannerisms - he often walks around with his hands clasped, as if he's carrying something.
* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:He is the second person to hold the title of Constant, with the first being the cold war spymaster known as Janus]].
* MouthOfSauron: He's responsible for Providence's communications, and [[spoiler:delivers their alliance offer to Diana]].
* NoNameGiven: Even his title is only given in incidental dialogue. [[spoiler:An unlockable safe in the Isle of Sgàil reveals his name to be Arthur Edwards]].
* TheStoic: Takes [[spoiler:the looting of Providence's computer room]] in stride, while Director Fanin freaks out.
** In ''VideoGame/{{Hitman 2}}'' he is equally calm when [[spoiler:47 forces him to come quietly by threatening him with the killswitch]].
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: One of the Heralds describes him as looking like an accountant, and his face certainly wouldn't stand out in a crowd. When he's attending the Ark Society gala in Sgail, Zoe Washington wonders how he can manage to be the most anonymous person in the room despite being the only one ''not wearing a mask''.

[[folder: Olivia Hall]]
A young female hacktivist who is allies with Sean Rose and the Shadow Client.
----
* AscendedExtra: She appeared only briefly at the end of the Colorado mission, but plays a much larger role in ''VideoGame/{{Hitman 2}}''.
* BlackAndNerdy: African-American and a very good hacker.
* {{Hackette}}: During the briefing before the Colorado mission, Diana makes it clear that her hacking skills are nothing to sneeze at.
* ItsAllMyFault: She (correctly) blames herself for accidentally helping 47 kill the Colorado militants.
* MoralityPet: She appears to be this for the Shadow Client.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: She accidentally helped the ICA track down Sean Rose's base in Colorado.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: The Shadow Client warns her that she should go into hiding, as Providence will try to kill her now that she is no longer useful to them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sebastian Sato]]

The lead FashionDesigner for the Sanguine fashion show, who resents being under Novikov's strict creative control.
----

* AlwaysCamp
* ButtMonkey: He clearly hates the designs he was forced to do for the event. Novikov threatens to destroy his career unless he does exactly what he's told. Heck, Novikov will yell at him if he finds Sato vomiting in a trash can. Even the game encourages this, with one achievement requiring 47 to manipulate events so that Sato will quit on the spot in rage. Another achievement even encourages you to outright ''murder'' Sato, even though he isn't a target.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: Canonically, he survives the events of The Showstoppers, and is said to have retired from Sanguine after his bosses' deaths boosted its popularity.
* INeedAFreakingDrink: If pushed to his limit, he does both this and [[CigaretteOfAnxiety go for a smoke break]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Hailey Brennan]]

Dalia Margolis' assistant and a spy for Victoria St. Clair.
----

* TheMole: For Victoria St. Clair.
* MuggingTheMonster: Hailey was looking for material to blackmail Dalia, true. It's just she thought she was a ex-supermodel turned businesswoman, not the head of an organization with ties to ''international terrorism.''
* NotWhatISignedOnFor: Hailey is a spy for a ''fashion magazine.'' Now she's spying on a woman who is the head of an international crime syndicate and is justly terrified.
* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves[=/=]YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Believes, correctly, this is what Dalia has in store for her.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: One of the guards has fallen in love with her and offers to help her escape if 47 screws with Dalia's laptop. They escape right before 47 eliminates Dalia and Viktor both.

[[folder: Helmut Kruger]]
[[quoteright:270:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/helmutkrugerhitman.jpg]]

A world-famous male model and actor whose star is fading as he grows older. He's taken up working for IAGO. Curiously, he also possesses a near-identical appearance to Agent 47.
----
* BadassLongcoat: He's not very badass, but he wears an extremely stylish black coat that flutters dramatically behind him when he moves. If 47 ends up impersonating him, that coat certainly becomes one of these.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite wearing dark blue and black, looking like 47, and wearing ominous makeup that invokes ExcessiveEvilEyeshadow, he's actually a reasonably nice guy who is in over his head.
* HoneyTrap: Is assigned to seduce women for Dalia Margolis so he can get the secrets of their associates.
* IdenticalStranger: Looks almost identical to 47 and the latter can pass as the former even without makeup. Albeit, that's because Helmut is rarely seen without his. A side-by-side comparison of Helmut and 47 disguised as Helmut shows there are enough subtle differences that he's unlikely to be, say, another Mr. 17.
* NotWhatISignedUpFor: Is horrified when given the cyanide to potentially (hint: explicitly) murder the person he's supposed to spy on.
* WhiteDwarfStarlet: Helmut had a very successful career but is aging and dislikes being forced out. That's why he's agreed to become a spy for Dalia Margolis.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Padre Francesco]]
The local priest in Sapienza. Appears in both World of Tomorrow and Landslide.
----

* ChekhovsGunman: In World of Tomorrow, he can be overheard talking to a female scientist as part of an opportunity, but other than that, Francesco is just a minor character. In Landslide, disguising as him would give you several ways of dealing with Abiatti.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: His appearance in Landslide as an NPC opens the possibility of 47 killing him in gameplay [[spoiler:or Marco Abiatti throwing him off the roof of the church to his death should they cross paths]], but his appearance in World of Tomorrow confirms that he survives the events of Landslide.
* GoodShepherd: He is a priest and one of the most innocent characters in the series.
* NiceGuy: Padre Francesco is a nice guy, which naturally makes him enemies with Marco Abiatti.
* ProperlyParanoid: Francesco hides from Marco Abiatti, [[spoiler:worried that the latter would kill him]].

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Roberto Vargas]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roberto_vargas.png]]

The golfing coach at Silvio Caruso's mansion and Francesca De Santis' lover. Their affair is an open secret among the security staff but unknown by either Silvio or the mansion servants.
----

* TheCasanova: Has this reputation among his fans.
* LadykillerInLove: He is surprised by how intense his feelings for Francesca are.
* MistakenForCheating: Roberto flirts with other women, especially his fans, but only does this to maintain his image. Francesca is still upset and suspicious about it.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He usually only dates much younger and less intelligent women. Francesca is definitely not his type, being age appropriate as well as a genius.
* TogetherInDeath: There's a Challenge for locking Francesca's corpse in with Roberto's. However, this challenge can be completed even if Roberto is just unconscious.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Heidi Santoro]]

Jordan Cross's drummer. Formerly a good friend of his, their relationship became strained after Hannah's death, which Heidi [[spoiler:correctly]] suspects Jordan had something to do with.

----

* TheAce: Crew members can be heard gushing over how smart, talented and hot she is.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: She is mentioned in a GNN news report in Season 2 mission "Nightcall", and reappears in the following mission, "The Finish Line", confirming her survival in "Club 27".

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dexy Barat]]

Jordan Cross's not-too-faithful manager. She holds intimate knowledge of [[spoiler: Hannah Highmoore's murder, and is using audio evidence to blackmail his father]].
----

* AmoralAttorney: She used to be a CLO before she started managing Jordan's band. When her employer was sued by people who developed cancer from using their products, she successfully convinced the courts to make the ''victims'' pay ''them'' damages.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: She seems like a fun and competent manager but not only is she [[spoiler: aware of Hannah's death, she tries to blackmail Thomas Cross behind Jordan's back]].
* BunnyEarsLawyer: She has quite an odd haircut and style of clothing for a manager but the crew says she is one of the best in the business.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: The celebrity tattoo artist in Colombia is calling her on the phone and makes it clear that she's his manager, indicating she survived the events of Club 27.
* {{Irony}}: When Jordan rants about his father during his birthday party, the last thing he says to her is "You don't know him, Dex, and I pray, you don't get to.
* KarmaHoudini: She canonically gets away with [[spoiler: covering up Hannah's murder, manipulating Jordan, and attempting to blackmail Thomas Cross]].
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler: She helped Jordan Cross cover up Hannah Highmoore's murder.]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Mrs. Mookjai]]

The manager of the Bangkok hotel where Jordan Cross is staying, and thus an employee of Thomas Cross’s.
----

* BadBoss: There are memos from her all over the hotel, most of which contain threats to fire the entire hotel staff for trivial errors. One wonders how she’ll react to the on-premises assassination of her boss’s son.
* EvilIsPetty: Evil is a stretch, but she’s certainly petty. One of her notes threatens the entire staff with termination because one waiter got a pair of room-service orders mixed up.
* NiceToTheWaiter: Inverted. She’s polite to Dexy Barat and Jordan Cross, but nasty to her underlings.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Jason Portman]]

One of GAMA's VIP patients. A wealthy former CEO currently going in for plastic surgery to look like [[CallBack Helmut Kruger]].
----

* DisproportionateRetribution: If he meets 47, he'll hostilely accuse 47 of trying to "steal" his idea to look like Helmut Kruger using plastic surgery. Needlessly abrasive, but not too bad. Let him keep talking, and he'll eventually start following 47 around (even to the bathroom) threatening to use his connections to make 47 "disappear for good," even though 47 is literally just looking like himself and not saying anything.
* IdenticalStranger: Slightly more justified, since he's had plastic surgery to look like someone who already looks like 47 anyway.
* IJustWantToBeYou: Wants to look exactly like Helmut Kruger. If he and 47 cross paths, he briefly gets excited at meeting the ''real'' Kruger, then berates 47 for stealing his idea. Going into his room also reveals [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl6nE16efzk&feature=youtu.be&t=8m17s a table littered with photos of Kruger with his obsessive notes scribbled on said photos.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: If he runs into 47 he will accuse him of stealing his "Helmut Kruger" idea and threaten him. He's also an ass to everyone he talks to.
* MagicPlasticSurgery: What he expects, anyway, since the surgeons note that the differences in his and Helmut's facial structures make this difficult to do. If 47 takes Portman's place for the post-surgery checkup, his surgeon is astounded by the fact that there are no bruises or cuts on "Portman's" new face, so much so that he takes a moment to quietly cry tears of joy at his success. If you take his clothes you'll see the surgery left him grossly swollen and he'll be in the hospital hall yelling at someone on his cellphone about having his face inflated like a balloon if you skip the opportunity.
* MuggingTheMonster: Harasses 47, thinking he stole his idea to imitate Helmut Kruger through plastic surgery, and says he can make him disappear. Also screams over the phone about GAMA's surgeons botching his face, apparently unaware of just how the hospital gets its transplant organs.
* NouveauRiche: He just sold his company Quantum Leap for one billion and first thing he does is get himself a very expensive surgery to look like a top model. Even Dexter, the Texan on his fifth lung transplant, has more sense than him.
* VerbalTic: Starts all of his conversations with, “Shut up!”

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Amos Dexter]]

Another of GAMA's VIP patients. He's supposed to have lung transplant surgery (his fifth overall), but he just spends his time wandering the halls drunk.
----

* TheAlcoholic: He wanders around the hospital, constantly drunk, attempting to go into restricted areas and insulting the staff.
* {{Eagleland}}: "America, The Boorish". He gets into an argument with a security guard when he tries to enter a restricted area, and says that he should be allowed inside because he's from America, and America is the world's security. When the security guards still refuses, he just calls him a commie.
* MustHaveNicotine: He's on his ''fifth'' lung transplant due to his smoking. He's also one of several people in the Hokkaido level where you can get cigarettes from in order to open up an opportunity to kill Yuki.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: He is ''extremely'' similar to ''Hitman: Absolution'' BigBad Blake Dexter. The two are both FatSweatySouthernerInAWhiteSuit types with massive amounts of wealth and they even share the same last name. It's possible that the two are related, as Amos does mention having a brother, but there's nothing concrete on it so far.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Jeff]]

A former member of Liberation, Jeff broke up with his girlfriend.

----

* DrivenToSuicide: You can find Jeff in "The Author", sitting on a bench and looking depressed. You can read a suicide note next to him. If you hang around him for a while, Jeff will get up, run to the cliff screaming and jump off.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Can carry battle axes, katanas and other large objects on him in the last mission.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dr. Nicholas Laurent]]
The Chief Surgeon at the Gama Private Hospital in Hokkaido.
----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He is a very timid man, but that still doesn't stop him from killing Erich Soders under the right circumstances.
* DeadlyDoctor: If he finds out that Erich Soders killed his father, he will "accidentally" kill him during the operation, provided that he's all drugged up.
* FunctionalAddict: He needs to take pills on a regular basis to prevent his hands from shaking. Luckily he has a drug dealer at the hospital. This can be turned against him to either knock him out or to cause a drug-fueled rage that would make him kill Erich Soders.
* HeroicBSOD: Suffers this big time if Erich Soders died, even if he's responsible for it.
* NiceGuy: He is cordial to people around him and treats KAI like a person, having regularly conversations with her. Even after finding out that Erich Soders murdered his father, he refuses to get revenge for the sake of his career and doing what he feels is right. This completely drops, however, once he is high on drugs.
* VengeanceFeelsEmpty: He seems to have this opinion after killing Erich Soders.
* YouKilledMyFather: Erich Soders killed Doctor Laurent's father twenty years earlier, so naturally you can arrange for the doctor to find out and kill him.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: His reaction to murdering Erich Soders himself could be this, as he would leave the operating theater and appear depressed over what happened.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:KAI]]

An artificial intelligence that controls most of the GAMA hospital.
----
* ArtificialIntelligence: One of the world's most advanced.
* AIIsACrapshoot: Some of the workers in the hospital firmly believe in this. Averted in the game unless 47 deliberately sabotages it to invoke this, after which it starts spouting off creepy nonsense and can even end up killing the target by making the operating table go berserk.
* BenevolentAI: It is quite friendly and will fix any attempts to tamper with medical procedures/equipment unless you sabotage or outsmart it. It even suggests the lead surgeon to try his pickup lines on it.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Once tampered with, KAI will mumble nonsensical phrases.
-->“Why yes, Mr. Magpie. It is a lovely day for a picnic.”
** Her prototype, Ayakashi, is an even bigger one, due to being an {{Expy}} of [[VideoGame/Portal2 Wheatley]].
* DissonantSerenity: Her polite MachineMonotone never falters, even when she realizes she's being attacked. The worst she does is politely point out that tampering with her systems could result in a severe legal action from her creators.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Frequently weirds out Dr. Laurent with some of the things she says, which are mostly cases of either MySensorsIndicateYouWantToTapThat or its inability to understand human social customs.
* MachineMonotone: Speaks with a robotic, drawling Japanese accent at all times, even when going haywire.
* MasterComputer: The thing is quite important for the hospital, especially in surgeries, as it can fix any "errors" that 47 causes to the equipment.
* MouthfulOfPi: While sabotaged, KAI decides to start slowly counting off one-million digits of pi. However, she eventually stops short of one-hundred digits, determining that, “pi is boring.”
* PuzzleBoss: While sabotaging it down is not necessary, it requires a certain strategy. Reaching it requires either a certain disguise, the master keycard or one disposable scrambler. Then you need to pull out 4 pieces of it in a certain order or you get shocked. Fortunately, pulling the wrong one forces it to reboot, during which you can see the correct sequence to destroy it. Successfully pulling all 4 pieces in the right order shuts it down for the rest of the level.
* {{Robosexual}}: She makes some odd advances on Dr. Laurent, after finding out that he's been recently divorced. She offers to help him practice dating, much to his discomfort.
* ShoutOut:
** Her single eye, polite MachineMonotone and the need to enter her server room to sabotage her systems invokes [[Film/TwoThousandOneASpaceOdyssey Hal 9000]]. After being tampered with, her eye even turns red.
** During her haywire rambling, she alludes to ''[[VideoGame/{{Portal}} Portal's]]'' cake meme:
--->“Are you the party planner? I am sixty-five-million seconds old today. Oh, I hope there will be cake! There will be cake, won't there? I was promised, you see. If there is no cake, I really do not think I could bear it.”
** There's an EasterEgg in which you can find her prototype, Ayakashi, a [[VideoGame/Portal2 Wheatley]]-esque CloudCuckoolander AI who is confined to a spherical, metal construct reminiscent of the Aperture Science Personality Cores.

[[folder:Gary Cole]]
A Hollywood actor. He was set to film an advertisement with Creator/GaryBusey, but the latter's antics have complicated matters and frustrated him.
----
* AsHimself: Gary Cole is played by none other than Creator/GaryCole.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted. He shares his first name with co-star Gary Busey. The two were part of a online poll where people voted for which one to kill, with Cole losing the dubious honor.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
new page for elusive targets.

Added DiffLines:

! Elusive Targets

These are targets that only last for a certain amount of real-world time before they disappear. 47 must fulfill the contract without dying in the mission itself; if he does, the mission is considered to be a failure and there is no restarting. You are free to restart in the mission, so long as you haven't done any of the objectives, gotten killed, or have killed the targets.

[[foldercontrol]]
[[folder: The Forger (Sergei Larin)]]
An accomplished art forger that has been copying art from the Palais de Walewska's gallery, and selling them on to unsuspecting buyers.
* AttractivenessDiscrimination: Shows a rather extreme form of this attitude, wishing the ugly to be hidden from sight, as he observes the fashion show.
* GoldDigger: A proactive version - he is a trophy husband who is only married to his wife so he can exploit her collection of artwork. In a phone call with his father-in-law, is called as such.
* JewelersEyeLoupe: Wears one of these.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Gives himself a plethora of inaccurate titles.
* SmugSnake: From what we see of him, he has a thoroughly unpleasant personality.
* TilMurderDoUsPart: It's implied that his wife was the one who put the hit on him; see below.
* TrophyHusband: Part of an apparently loveless marriage and is described as such.
* WomanScorned: Most of the artworks he's been forging copies of actually belong to his wife Simone, and have been in her family for generations. It's implied that she's the one who ordered the hit: Diana notes that at the time of the mission, Simone is in New York "with an excellent alibi".
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Congressman (Anthony L. Troutt)]]
A veteran of the Invasion of Grenada in 1983 and accused of several friendly-fire incidents that have been suppressed from the public record. Troutt is in Sapienza meeting Silvio Caruso, as a part of a tour of European power brokers and moneymen in anticipation of a 2024 Presidential Bid.
* NiceHat: He looks quite dapper in his Panama hat.
* NoPartyGiven: Partially subverted. Instead of being part of any major political party, Troutt is listed as Independent in the briefing.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Prince (Father Adalrico Candelaria)]]
A Catholic Cardinal considered by Vatican insiders to be a strong contender for the next pope. However, Candelaria is accused of ties to the Pinochet regime in Chile in the '70s and '80s.
* SinisterMinister: Many of his political opponents "disappeared" during the time of his alleged involvement with the Chilean regime.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Sensation (Jonathan Smythe)]]
A multi-platinum media sensation that is the subject of an international manhunt, following his involvement in a multiple homicide three years ago. Smythe has continued to release records, with an extensive financial empire bolstered by the controversy helping him evade capture. He is hosting a party on the Palais de Walewska grounds.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: His appearance and infamy (minus the homicide) seems to be based off Music/JustinBieber.
* NoSuchThingAsBadPublicity: It's mentioned that being wanted for homicide has only made him richer.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Gunrunner (Vito Đurić)]]
A gun-runner supplying arms to the Moroccan army.
* ArmsDealer: One famous for his resourcefulness.
* BeardOfEvil: Distinguished by his full, thick beard.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Twin (Dylan Narváez)]]
A tobacco magnate visiting Sapienza with his twin brother Gonzales. 47 must eliminate Dylan without harming Gonzales in any way.
* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: Not only do Dylan and Gonzales look exactly the same, but they ''dress'' identically as well.
* CainAndAbel: It's heavily implied that Gonzales was the one who put out the contract on him, hence the clause in this contract that Gonzales must not be harmed.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: The only visual difference between Dylan and his brother is Dylan's expensive, one-of-a-kind wristwatch. Spotting this is crucial to not failing the contract.
* SiblingRivalry: Dylan and his brother are fiercely competitive in all matters, always striving to be the first to achieve something or to acquire something that there is only one of.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Wild Card (Gary Busey)]]
An eccentric Hollywood star. After he unexpectedly quit an advertisement, the studio put a hit on Busey in revenge.
* AdamWesting: He is played by the real Creator/GaryBusey, who is playing an exaggerated version of himself.
* CloudCuckoolander: The entire mission is this showing Busey at his most eccentric. From why the contract was executed to even his phone conversations and walking around Sapienza.
* DisproportionateRetribution: The studio deemed Busey walking off the commercial set was grounds to have an assassination attempt pulled onto him.
* OneSteveLimit: Subverted; Creator/GaryCole also appears in the mission as a rival actor. The two were part of a promotional poll in which players voted for which Gary they wanted to kill, with Busey being voted as "The Worst Gary".
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Broker (Howard Moxon)]]
An international antiquities trader who specialises in selling priceless art to finance terrorist organisations. Moxon was involved in the sale of the Ivory White, a filigree egg looted during [=WW2=]. 47 is to eliminate him and find the original Ivory White.
* BaldOfEvil: There's not a strand of hair on his head.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Black Hat (Owen "Protagonist" Wagner)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/owen_wagner.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:The Black Hat]]
An infamous black-hat hacker working for Dalia Margolis.
----
* TheCracker: He and his partner in crime whitecap are two of the most notorious criminal hackers in the world.
* FigureItOutYourself: Devoid of an actual picture, and scant specific information, 47 must figure out who the target is and where he is located.
* SweetTooth: Diana notes that the target [[CharacterTics has a particular affection for a marmalade locally made in the Southern US,]] and this specific information can be used to help identify the hacker due to the scant info available on the target.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Pharmacist (Nila Torvik)]]
The CEO of Torvik Reasearch. Her company is a provider of low cost generic drugs to the developing world. However, this philanthropic project is a cover for large-scale human tests in third world. Torvik is attending the IAGO auction as a personally invited guest of Dalia Margolis.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: A Big Pharma exec with no qualms about testing potentially dangerous experimental drugs in poor countries with no oversight.
* EvilGenius: It's clear that she's a very smart woman.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Which suit a villain of her nature quite well.
* LightIsNotGood: She wears all white, has light hair, and is very unscrupulous.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Her glasses sometimes give off a strong glint, which can be seen in her profile picture.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Most people know her as a philanthropist.
* VillainousFriendship: She and Dahlia are heavily implied to be close friends.
* WomanInWhite: Wears an all white pantsuit, which gives her sinister, clinical look.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Fixer (Xander Haverfoek)]]
An attaché at the Swedish consulate sent to receive a bag of diamonds from a courier in the city. 47 is sent to eliminate Haverfoek and intercept the diamonds.
* SinisterShades: He wears a pair of sunglasses.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Identity Thief (Brendan Conner)]]
An IT billionaire who made his fortune on dark net identity theft, attending the IAGO auction. Recently discovered to be planning a large-scale operation in China; an anonymous client wants him eliminated to ensure that this does not come to pass.
* CharacterTics: Diana notes he is meeting up with an escort at the Sanguine Fashion Show, and this information can be used to help find him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Ex-Dictator (Richard Ekwensi)]]
A dictator in exile, staying at the Himmapan Hotel. This is the first ET mission with more than one target (not including maps with one target and a secondary objective); 47 must eliminate both Richard and his gold-digger wife Inez.
* CallBack: He reappears in the mission briefing with Nne Obara.
* GoldDigger: Inez is explicitly described as such.
* NoHistoricalFiguresWereHarmed: Richard Ekwensi is clearly based on the Congolese dictator [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobutu_Sese_Seko Mobutu Sese Seko]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Chef (Gabriel Santos)]]
An infamous celebrity chef accompanied by his media entourage, providing luxury catering for the Sanguine fashion show.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He has commented that if Wen Ts'ai were to walk into his restaurant, he would "F***G S**T HIMSELF".
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: His overall behavior is a clear exaggeration and caricature of Creator/GordonRamsay in Hell's Kitchen.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: His fame and fortune have allowed him to escape several assault charges on assistants, producers, and staff (including two incidents involving a meat cleaver).
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Angel of Death (Etta Davis)]]
A retired nurse and current serial killer, responsible for dozens of deaths in retirement homes and hospitals across the UK. Believed to be searching for new hunting grounds abroad; she has been tracked to Marrakesh, where 47 is sent to end her killing spree for good.
* AffablyEvil: She acts like a sweet old lady towards anyone, while secretly planning how to murder them.
* DeadlyDoctor: She killed people while she was a nurse.
* EvilBrit: A British serial killer.
* EvilLuddite: She laments the advent of cordless phones and insults those who use email instead of letter-writing to be penpals. It is hinted that her distaste for modern technology has more to do with such things being easily traceable.
* EvilOldFolks: Elderly and quite deadly.
* NeverFoundTheBody: Some of the NPC's in the level notes that the Headmaster of the school is missing, and it's very suspicious that Davis appeared around the time he disappeared. She also claims that they were "penpals", and her starting location is the same balcony the Headmaster is usually on.
* SerialKiller: Of the "angel of death" variety, hence her title.
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: Few people would suspect a serial killer to look like somebody's grandmother.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: She tags along with a squad of soldiers looking for the missing Headmaster, and convinces them to protect her by claiming that she fears that her life is in danger now.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Guru (Richard J. Magee)]]
A manipulative self-help guru. His current mark is a man named Keith Kebble; Keith's family ordered a hit on Magee to save their son (and his trust fund).
* ConMan: Infamous for abandoning his clients as soon as they can no longer pay for his services.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Food Critic (Wen Ts’ai)]]
A renowned food critic known for his relentlessly scathing reviews. He is responsible for the suicide of a budding Singaporean chef, for which the chef's partner has hired the ICA to kill him. You are to eliminate him as he is reviewing the Himmapan Hotel in Bangkok.
* CausticCritic: He is notorious for his relentless criticism and career-destroying reviews over even the smallest errors he notices in restaurants all over the Pacific Rim.
* ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontWatch: Despite being a food critic, he doesn't actually eat the food at the restaurants that he reviews, considering that "too vulgar". Instead, he critiques literally everything else about the restaurant except the food, which sort of ruins the point of being a food critic.
* DisproportionateRetribution: He's known for raking his hosts over the coals for even the slightest mistake. That Singaporean chef who committed suicide? A result of Wen giving their entire restaurant a slam review (complete with a livestreamed TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to the chef specifically) for serving him a bottle of ''slightly overchilled'' ice water.
* TheDreaded: Of the culinary world. Even previous target (and Gordon Ramsay exaggeration) Gabriel Santos doesn't want to deal with this food critic.
* LogicalWeakness: Subverted. You'd think that, as a ''food'' critic, you could kill him simply by poisoning his food. He never actually ''eats'' any of the food that he's supposed to review, however, so you'll need to find a more creative way of eliminating him. That said, there is a situation where poisoning will work. See below.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Despite his policy of not eating the food during his reviews, when he visits the kitchen, he may notice a cake and instantly start slobbering over it.
-->'''Wen Ts'ai''': This-this is beauty. I can feel… it! My lord, a true experience! At last!
* ThePerfectionist: Sees merely paying attention to his food's taste or texture as "plebian" and instead devotes his reviews to measuring every little detail of his overall dining experience. He once devoted a whole weekend to dissecting a restaurant's entire menu for mistakes. See DisproportionateRetribution for what happens if he finds one.
* SweetTooth: When he visits the kitchen, he may notice a cake on the counter and take a bite out of it.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Chameleon (Richard M. Foreman)]]
A master impersonator working for the Freedom Fighters.
* InformedAbility: Likely due to engine limitations, we never see him impersonate anyone. His appearance in-game matches his briefing photos, so he isn't even that difficult to find.
* MasterActor: The man once spent three weeks successfully impersonating a billionaire.
* MasterOfDisguise: He's considered one of the world's greatest impersonators.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Blackmailer (Walter Williams)]]
An up-and-coming fashion model who is blackmailing his ex-girlfriend.
* LaughablyEvil: His attitude towards Helmut Kruger and his attempts to woo women borders on the edge of idiocy.
* MonsterClown: Sanguine's fashion show's use of heavy makeup to obscure the model's face coupled with the evil intentions of Williams probably would be slotted into this.
* ShoutOut:
** At one point, he finds the online profile of Hannah Highmoore (the girlfriend of Jordan Cross, a target in the Bangkok mission), and comments that she would make an interesting catch. Given IAGO is known to use models to gather compromising information, one has to wonder how involved Williams was in IAGO.
** His physical appearance strongly resembles [[Film/{{Zoolander}} Derek Zoolander]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Warlord (Adeze Ojiofur A.K.A. "Nne Obara" or “Mother Blood.”)]]
A warlord staying at the Himmapan Hotel.
* DrinkOrder: Orders a Bloody Mary to be made for her, fitting for a ruthless warlord.
* FourIsDeath: Perhaps unintentionally, but her nickname of "Nne" means fourth in Swahili, and she is of African descent.
* IWantThemAlive: If informed there's an assassin on the premises, she orders her guard to bring the assailant alive and bring them to her.
* KickTheDog: She plants to kill her son's English girlfriend, a young woman studying to be a school teacher, to show him that the world is dangerous.
* MyBelovedSmother: It's not the first time she has ruined potential relationships with her son, and plans to keep him in isolation to protect him from danger.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Mother Blood
* OohMeAccentsSlipping: Her voice sounds more like a young woman's from England or the United States if you distract her with a coin.
* ProperlyParanoid: Her insistence on keeping her son safe from danger is due to fears of there being an assassin on their lives. Unfortunately for her, he's not the target.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Surgeons (Pavel Frydel, Akane Akenawa)]]
A pair of highly skilled, but [[MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate highly unethical]] transplant surgeons working in the Gama facility. The two of them recently performed a transplant on a billionaire's 14-year-old son, but the boy contracted a hemorrhagic infection from the illicitly-obtained organ the doctors used, and died as a result.
* AlliterativeName: Akane Akenawa.
* AmbiguouslyGay: When Pavel mistakes the security guard's question about enhancing himself, Pavel goes into a discussion about his sexual experimentation. This leads the guard to ask Pavel if he fits into this trope.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: A security guard at GAMA asks Dr. Frydel to help him "enhance" himself. [[AmbiguouslyGay Dr. Frydel thinks the guard is talking about penis enlarging]] and [[OldShame hints at some "experimentation he did in medical school",]] but the guard is confused as he wanted steroids to help bulk up his muscles.
* DirtyCoward: Both of the doctors are this in certain degrees. Frydel tries to put the blame on the patient's death to a "study trip," while Akenawa tries to pawn off the patient's death onto Frydel as she tries to convince another patient to exclusively go to her for treatment.
* JapanesePoliteness: Averted by Akenawa when she tells an assistant over the phone that she managed to land "a filthy North Korean" patient from Frydel.
* KarmicDeath: The contract offers a bonus for killing them with a syringe containing a hemorrhagic virus, which can be found on-site.
* NeverMyFault: In a phone conversation, Dr. Frydel tries to deflect blame on the botched operation to the patient himself, suggesting that the boy caught the virus on a "study trip."

[[folder: The Bookkeeper (Pertti Jarnefelt)]]
An elderly ex-[[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi]] and current financial expert for the criminal underworld, managing the funds of kleptocracies, tyrants, and terrorists for decades. Recently discovered to have ties to the Shadow Client's operations in Colorado, making him a high-priority target.
* BeneathNotice: The briefing mentions that he's been living "an unassuming, yet comfortable life" while evading capture.
* EvilOldFolks: He's 90 years old.
* IWarnedYou: Nearly all the factions warn Jarnefelt that [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext their expenditures are justified]], as they fear that [[VideoGame/Hitman2016 someone]] or something [[SelfDeprecation could theoretically take them out, no matter how bizarre]].
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: A complication in the mission; Jarnefelt is highly paranoid, and will attempt to flee the scene if alerted to 47's presence. If he evacuates successfully, you will fail the mission.
** CuttingTheKnot: 47, however, can [[spoiler:destroy his SUV and force Jarnefelt to take refuge in the house basement]].
* TheScrooge: His audit of the Freedom Fighters has him butting heads with the respective factions over various expenditures. Among the expenditures noted by Jarnefelt of "concern":
** Parvati's Elite Solders use of live ammo and frequent destruction of expensive limousines for training on a hit of a VIP.
** The Hackers need for expensive equipment (both for hacking and for playing computer games like [[VideoGame/KaneAndLynch "K&L"]]) and fees to convert regular currencies for cryptocurrencies to help fund the group.
** The Explosive Experts purchase of many watches to test a compact explosive and the "evaporation" of nitroglycerine requiring the need for specialized equipment.
** Exterior Security's need to bribe the local law enforcement with doughnuts and "artisanal coffee," plus trained hawks to take out aerial drones and other ways to deal with intrusions.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Paparazzo (Kieran Hudson)]]
A controversial tabloid journalist, notorious for [[TabloidMelodrama smear campaigns and rumor-mongering]]; a previous victim of Hudson's work has ordered a hit in retaliation. The target can be found at the Sanguine show, looking to track down Sebastian Sato for photos or an interview.

* ComicallySmallBribe: Hudson tries to bribe at least one security guard to be allowed backstage with a "fiver." Rebuffed, he tries a "Tenner," to no success.
* ExhaustedEyeBags: Hudson seems to have this, or a black eye from some past event.
* {{Paparazzi}}: As his title indicates, he's a particularly infamous paparazzo.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Bad Boy (Bartholomew Argus)]]
A musician turned actor connected to organized crime in London. The target is found in Sapienza, where he will film a cameo in Dino Bosco's film "The Icon".

* BerserkButton: [[https://youtu.be/caFudUXdGcI?t=9m7s An opportunity arises]] where if you tamper with Argus' sportscar parked just outside of Sapienza, it causes the target to go into a mad rage.
* TheCameo: An in-universe example. Argus is supposed to appear as a cameo in Dino Bosco's superhero movie "The Icon".
* DramaticIrony: 47 can overhear one of Argus' agents phone calls as he is informed of a hit placed on Argus.
* EvilBrit: Argus' and his former crime partner are this in spades.
* LondonGangster: What Argus would like to see himself as, and what his former business partner and childhood friend Tommy "[[NamesToRunAwayFromVeryFast The Hammer]]" Stoakes very much is.
* LoonyFan: Argus run into one of these, who has sent pics of himself and his cat… [[BestialityIsDepraved doing things.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Some of his dialogue hints he genuinely regrets selling his friend down the river.
* NeverMyFault: When police discovered illegal drugs and firearms in Argus' car during a routine inspection, Argus claimed that they belonged to his childhood friend Tommy Stoakes, who was riding with Argus at the time, despite Tommy swearing that the drugs and weapons really belonged to Argus. Tommy got ten years in prison for possession while [[KarmaHoudini Argus walked free]]. Can you blame Tommy for wanting to put a hit out on him?
* NoHonorAmongThieves: Not only is he connected to organized crime, he's also lacking in loyalty. He got one of his best friends arrested so that he could avoid legal trouble.
* RagsToRiches: It's implied he came from a poor background.
* SatisfiedStreetRat[=/=]StreetSmart: Argus loves to recount his experiences living in the mean streets.
* ViolationOfCommonSense: [[spoiler:One way to kill Argus is to push him off a cliff when he goes to use the bathroom.]]

[[folder: The Fugitive (Ji-Hu)]]
[[quoteright:321:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ji_hu.png]]
[[caption-width-right:321:The Fugitive]]
A North Korean agent staying at the [=GAMA=] clinic for reconstructive surgery, along with two other patients.
----
* AnatomyTropes: The surgery of the three men have caused them [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi2epc5O-Ek to suffer a number of varying tropes too numerous to list.]]
* BorrowedBiometricBypass: [[spoiler:Diana relays 47 info about the target where he is getting keratoplasty, namely the one patient that has bandages over an eye. He is getting that particular surgery to fool retinal scanners.]]
* TheBusCameBack: Returned as the first legacy Elusive Target in Hitman 2.
* ChekhovsBoomerang: The fugu fish from the main mission can possibly be used to poison the target if he is the one drinking white wine at the sushi bar.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: The patient with rhinoplasty surgery (nose job) asks the patient with otoplastic (bandages over the ear) over how the rhinoplasty has gone, warning him not to offend him. The otoplastic patient remarks on how the ladies at GAMA look nice, and wonders if they are for sale. Thinking that's not the case, he contemplates abducting one.
* DirtyCommunists: The patient in for keratoplasty (eye surgery) may complain that he feels like he's walking through a fog, then wonder if that's what it feels like for people who haven't accepted socialism.
* EnemyMine: "Ji-Hu" has caused so much havoc for China, South Korea and Japan that all three nations' respective intelligence agencies have placed a combined contract with the ICA specifically to eliminate him. Diana calls it [[DeadpanSnarker "a touching example of international cooperation"]].
* TheFaceless: Downplayed. While the face of the picture is blacked out ([[UpToEleven even the trailer thumbnail had the face pixellated out]]) you can clearly see their faces.
* FigureItOutYourself: Played with. There are three patients on site for facial reconstruction surgery (eye, nose, and ear respectively), and part of the contract is figuring out which one is the target. However, if at a certain point you have not properly identified the target, Diana will relay to you the type of surgery the target had, allowing you to properly identify him. However, if you restart (which you will [[NintendoHard probably have to]]). the identity of the target may be different, which means you may have to re-identify them.
* UsefulNotes/NorthKorea: Although little information is provided about the target in general, evidence within the briefing and the mission itself imply that "Ji-Hu" is North Korean. The briefing refers to him as an agent of the State Security Department, the English name for North Korea's intelligence agency/[[StateSec secret police]], and the clients are an alliance of Chinese, South Korean and Japanese intelligence agencies. Within the mission, the keratoplasty patient comments about being socialist (see DirtyCommies above, even if they are closer to ''[[ANaziByAnyOtherName national]]'' [[ANaziByAnyOtherName socialism]] nowadays), has [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain an extremely racist attitude towards the Japanese]] and jokes about [[EatTheDog eating his guide dog]] once he gets it, while the otoplasty patient considers abducting some of the women from the spa later; all traits either practiced by North Koreans or ascribed to them in propaganda.
* XanatosSpeedChess: Poisoning a specific wine glass in GAMA is seen as the easiest way to kill the target, but runs the risk of poisoning a non-target, which then requires a restart or the player to utilize an alternate way to kill the target.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Entertainer ("Mr. Giggles" )]]
The ringleader of "La Soireé Horrible", an underground circus offering everything from animal fights to blood sports and other violent spectacles. The target is in Marrakesh for unknown reasons. In addition to eliminating Giggles, 47 must also obtain his client list, believed to be in the possession of one of his assistants.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: One of the main attractions of his circus is forcing animals to kill each other or having them mutilated.
* ForTheEvulz: Sent his business associate to find something to kill on his show. Once he failed, Giggles explained that he now has to ''kill him'' instead. He reveals that he has already found what he was looking for, and only met with the associate to torment him. The associate sighs of relief and...
--> '''Mr. Giggles:''' "I also poisoned your coffee." [[note]]With rat poison, fortunately[[/note]]
* FrenchJerk: French and not very nice.
* HateSink: Mr Giggles is an utterly horrible human being with no redeeming values whatsoever. He's sadistic, cruel, unpleasant and utterly depraved. He's one of the most vile targets, even for hitman standards.
* IronicNickname: Despite being known as "Mr. Giggles", the man himself is noted as having no sense of humor whatsoever.
* ManOfWealthAndTaste: Wears a custom tailored Savile Row suit with a patterned jacket and matching [[DashinglyDapperDerby derby]].
* NoSenseOfHumor: Rather ironically for a man known as "Mr. Giggles".
* {{Sadist}}: He hosts a show where he brutally kills animals, and torments his business associate both physically and mentally.
* TattooedCrook: Giggles' face and neck are covered in elaborate, freakish looking tattoos.

! Non-Targets

[[folder: Shadow Client (Lucas Grey/[[spoiler:Subject 6)]]]]
[[quoteright:270:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadowclient.png]]

->Voiced by: John Hopkins

[[folder: The Constant (Arthur Edwards)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_constant_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:The Constant]]

->Voiced by: Philip Rosch

[[/folder]]

----

* AlwaysCamp

[[/folder]]

* ShoutOut:
