!Grove Hill Elementary School students

Nicknamed the "Human Computer", Jordie is the smartest kid in school. She is most known for her sarcastic wit and her tendency to speak in SesquipedalianLoquaciousness.

----
* DeadpanSnarker: She brilliantly combines this with SesquipedalianLoquaciousness:
-->Jordie said in a carrying voice, "The necessity of the continued existence of the majority of people eludes me at this moment."
* InsufferableGenius: She knows she's the smartest kid in school, and while she doesn't necessarily flaunt her grades her snarkiness can rub certain people the wrong way.

The class' financial whiz, often regarded as TheScrooge.
----
* TheGrinch: He had a disdain for Christmas, believing it to be overcommercialized. He changed his opinion after his experience in The Fright Before Christmas.
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: His experience with the ghosts in The Fright Before Christmas was definitely for the better, as he became less of a jerk and learned to enjoy Christmas.

The school's resident AlphaBitch.

----
* ButtMonkey: While most of the kids avoid the levels of ButtMonkey found in Goosebumps, Polly is a more typical version due to what a spoiled and haughty brat she is.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Not even she likes Mrs. Beak, or at the very least, couldn't believe she just said she did. Likewise, even Polly is willing to give a decent gift unprovoked when
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: She still hangs out with the other kids even though she doesn't like them and they don't like her.
* GenerationXerox: Kids who've met her mother regard her as an older, frillier, and meaner version of Polly.
* LackOfEmpathy: She has got no time or energy to consider the feelings of anyone around her.
* PsychoPink: While not evil, she is a legitimately obnoxious and nasty young girl who almost always dresses in shades of pink.
* StrawCharacter: Usually if an opinion is meant to be presented as wrong, she's the one used to express it. In The Fright Before Christmas, Polly parrots her mother's complaints about Literature/AChristmasCarol such as how Charles Dickens' isn't even an American writer, to which Mr. Melon retorts by saying Dickens' abilities as an author transcend nationalities. Which basically translates to him telling her to shut her mouth.
* TeachersPet: She has no interest in learning, just sucking up. Although for as much as Polly wants the approval of the school's authority figures some, like Mr. Melon and Ms. Cheevy, don't like her as well.

!Grove Hill personnel

The terrifying prinicpal of Grove Hill.

----
* AmbiguouslyHuman: It is strongly implied that she's not just an ordinary human (a human with supernatural powers at best and something not entirely human at worst).
* TheDreaded: The sheer mention of her can cause the younger students to burst into tears.

An eccentric girl with a strange accent and a sarcastic wit rivaling that of Jordie's whom Park met during a museum trip, and who claims to be a fifth grade student. In reality, she is a Mummy mummy and a daughter of the pharaoh King Pet who came to life through some unexplained magic.

----
* BoyMeetsGhoul: There are some hints that Park was romantically interested in her, such as the fact that they remained in touch for many years after their first meeting, and he chose to become an archeologist when he grew up.
* DeadAllAlong: You would never tell that by looking at her, but she actually died many millenia ago.
* DeadpanSnarker: And how!
-->Morton grabbed Park's sleeve.
-->"Hey! If you lived back then, what would your name be?"
-->"What?" said Park.
-->"Jurassic Park! Get it. Jurassic Park." Morton pointed at Park.
* NonMaliciousMonster: She actually saved Park from being stalked by her sinister brother.
* SeductiveMummy: Downplayed. She's not outright seductive, but Park clearly took an interest in her, and there are some hints that this interest may be romantic (such as him choosing to become an archeologist as an adult).
