The '''Archons''' are the seven ruling gods of Teyvat, each controlling one of the world's seven elements and one of its seven nations. The people of Teyvat generally believe that they have the power to confer Visions onto selected people, which give them the ability to wield their respective deity's elements.

* CommonalityConnection: Pyro Visions - and therefore the Pryro Archon - seem to have a correlation with familiar ties, especially those revolving around paternal figures and their children, and the PassingTheTorch of some goal or philosophy.

** When the Raiden Shogun discovered her prototype puppet shedding a tear, she deemed him unsuitable for becoming her proxy and instead tries to set him free in the hopes of allowing him to live his own life. However, being deemed unfit for the purpose he was made for left him bitter and directionless, and her complete absence in his life meant she couldn't protect him from the harshness of reality. [[spoiler:What proved to be the final straw in this tragedy is that when he needed her help most, Ei had already locked herself in the Plane of Euthymia, allowing the Raiden Shogun Puppet to refuse him. This shattered what little faith he had left in her completely and setting him up to be taken advantage of by Il Dottore, whose actions transformed him into a MisanthropeSupreme who would gleefully meddle in Inazuma's affairs for centuries]].

* DiscardAndDraw: The Skyward Atlas Catalyst implies that Barbatos not only wrote all 100.000 odes himself, but also used the book as Catalyst before switching to the bow in order to honor Amos. In-game, many players have noticed how Venti dispels his lyre like if it was a Catalyst, implying it's a sort of muscle memory, giving further credit to the notion.

* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Implied. While legends say that Barbatos taught Dvalin the human language, in present times it seems only his mortal guise Venti is able to understand the dragon when the Mondstadt group confronts him; notably, Venti and Dvalin only converse between each other, and Paimon and Jean even wonders if Venti is communicating with Dvalin. There's also the legend of Barbatos teaching birds how to fly and, while it might be a poetic fable, in it the archon is able to communicate with the birds.

*** Focalors accumulated more power out of Fontaine's believe in justice than from their faith on the Hydro Archon despite being considered the nation's mascot. It's understandable because [[spoiler:Furina is no god. But even so Focalors, while inside the Oratrice, used a 500 years worth of power to kill the very idea of a Hydro Archon]].
