Unlike the other boss fights in the other stories, the Grumps seem to like Zero enough to voice him for almost the entirety of the fight, turning him into a somewhat depressed guy who doesn't understand his arousal at Amy's inexplicable PantyShots.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Part of a running gag. He mispronounces Arin's name as "Aron" and calls Dan "Dwayne".
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Trivia Boy speaks in a stilted MachineMonotone and his face is composed of googly eyes and a Post-it note stuck to his head. He also shuts down after Dan flicks one of his eyes off his face.
* AmbiguouslyGay: The punishment for getting a question wrong is a kiss from Trivia Boy and the prize for getting a question right is a blow job from Trivia Boy. Kisses apparently give him a "trivia erection".
* ButtMonkey: Arin and Dan frequently insult Trivia Boy for correcting them when they get an answer wrong, Arin allegedly keeps him in a furnace when he isn't needed and Dan's favorite thing about Trivia Boy is that "he never knows where and when we're about to slap him".
* ExpressiveMask: as Trivia Boy initially only has one expression, Arin and Dan use markers to create more Post-it note "mouths" for him. By the end of the episode, Trivia boy can express happiness, indifference, surprise and post-coital-bliss.
