* BarrierMaiden: While all the Elements of Harmony are this to some degree due to how many times they've saved the world, the season 5 finale shows that Rainbow Dash getting her cutie mark is the single point on which all of Equestria balances. Without her performing a sonic rainboom, none of the mane six become elements of harmony, and the world is more or less doomed, and preventing it is all Starlight needs to do to caues untold devastation. Interestingly, Rainbow accomplished this unknowingly and entirely of her own volition, with no outside circumstances influencing her (compared to the other mane six who all got their cutie marks due to outside circumstances that Rainbow caused in the first place).

** She's sometimes called "Dashie", most often by Pinkie Pie.
** The episode "Sonic Rainboom" reveals that the "Rainbow Crash" moniker that Spike innocently sticks her with in "Bridle Gossip" was an actual unflattering nickname her Flight School bullies called her. "Newbie Crash" makes this her official nickname as a Wonderbolt.
** Applejack has called her "R.D." at least once.

* JackOfAllTrades: She's incredibly fast, very talented at flying, great at sports, and she can sing (her human counterpart is also a great guitarist), and "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" reveals she knows karate when she attempts to teach it to Apple Bloom. In "She's All Yak", it's also revealed she's good at dancing, and Rainbow Dash lampshades this trope, claiming she's awesome at everything...''except'' baking.

* GlorySeeker: During "The Mysterious Mare Do-Well", she wanted everypony to admire her good deeds. After the whole Mare-Do-Well fiasco, she's humbled out on this aspect.
