* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The spelling of the name of his species, draconequus, has been mangled by both Creator/TheHub's web site (Dragonokis) and the closed captioning (draconequis). WordOfGod is [[http://comments.deviantart.com/4/1603670/2203256913 clear on the subject]], though, and his [[http://chimicherrychanga.com/img/tc/32b.jpg trading card]] and a [[https://twitter.com/MyLittlePony/status/270990341333725184 tweet]] by Hasbro's ''Franchise/MyLittlePony'' Website/{{Twitter}} account both use the correct spelling.

* EasilyForgiven:
** Downplayed. Nopony forgives him except Fluttershy, and he had to earn that by toning down his chaos and fixing a mess he made. Furthermore, Celestia decided to leave the Elements with their bearers, "just in case".
** [[spoiler:Played a lot straighter in "Twilight's Kingdom Part 2" when Twilight and the others still considers him a friend despite helping Tirek. Tirek and even Discord himself lampshade this, both wondering how they could possibly forgive him after what he pulled]].
** PlayedForLaughs in some of his limelight episodes. He does atrocious things due to not quite fully grasping the whole empathy thing. This is always met with a stern scolding at worst and AnAesop about his behavior.
** {{Double Subverted}} in the series finale when he [[spoiler:admits he disguised himself as Grogar and unleashed three of the most dangerous villains Equestria's ever faced to test the heroes]] and is let off with only a dressing-down, but the ponies are not so quick to forgive Discord as they are commonly. He works to earn their forgiveness which afterwards makes them quickly forgive him. It probably also helps that he did have good intentions.
** Zig-zagged and Justified in the Season 10 comics; There isn't really anything to forgive. [[spoiler:Nobody seems to even blame Discord that due to his actions in the past, he is partially responsible for the Knights of Order attacking Equestria. It happened a long, long time ago and Discord has become a much different person since then, so there is no point in lambasting him -- especially now, when Canterlot is under attack. Discord also tries to warn his friends and is a big part in ending the conflict. Also, the BlackAndWhiteInsanity displayed by the Knights is hardly a logical and reasonable reaction to what Discord did]].

* TheTroublemaker: Discord has been known to {{troll}} Twilight on her paranoia of him spending time with her friends because "ItAmusedMe", and once, he pretended to be sick when Twilight was trying to spend time with her sister-in-law, Cadence, by having her care for him in his time of need (complete with Musical Number). He does get karmic payback at the end when he becomes sick for real.

* WouldHitAGirl:
** He has no problem picking up Twilight Sparkle and dropping her, kicking Rainbow Dash in the rear end or abrasively tapping Fluttershy on the head when she resists his taunts to make her angry.
** In "The Ending of the End – Part 2", [[spoiler:he turns Cozy Glow and Chrysalis into stone.]]
