* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: She's clearly attracted to {{Jerkass}} Trent, and eventually manages to get him to have very wild sex with her. An early scene has her clearly liking that Jenna and Clay have clear chemistry, implicitly because she wants them together so she could have Trent.

* ShipperOnDeck: {{Implied|Trope}}. She's very obviously attracted to Trent, enough that she was a wild SexScene with him. The smile on her face when she sees Jenna letting Clay into the cabin makes it seem like she wanted Clay to "steal" Jenna from Trent so that she could have Trent to herself.

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Nope. Unlike Chelsea or Bree, she's very much not happy when Trent is acting like an asshole. Enough that she doesn't even spare the time to be angry with him for cheating on her.
* BreakoutCharacter: Jenna is the {{Tritagonist}} of this film but on this very page, she's listed at the top of all the non-Jason characters and treated as TheProtagonist of the movie, [[spoiler: and despite being impaled by Jason, is treated as the film's true FinalGirl by many viewers.]]

* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Jenna only reaches Clay's shoulder. For reference, Danielle Panabaker is 5'6", and Jared Padalecki is 6'4".

* OhCrap: She gives a ''very'' wide-eyed expression when Jason drops a decapitated body right in front of her.

* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She clearly has much better chemistry with NiceGuy Clay than with {{Jerkass}} Trent. Unused concepts for the film include a scene where she engages in CasualDangerDialogue and asks him on a date while they're trying to get away from Jason.

* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler: Her eyes are open and she's still standing and making sounds for several seconds after she's impaled, [[MadeOfIron making it possible that she wasn't mortally wounded]].]]

to:

* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler: Look carefully at where she was impaled. It was on the slight right side of her chest, closer to her lung than her heart. * EveryoneHasStandards: She's a party girl, but even ''she'' won't drink out of a dirty sweaty shoe.

* MsFanservice: She's the one to provide nudity for the audience.

* LampshadeHanging: She's the only one to comment on Clay and Jenna's obvious chemistry, which is far stronger than that she has with Trent. Specifically, she comments "This should be interesting" when she sees Clay walking into the cabin with Jenna.

As TurnOfTheMillennium came to pass, previous continuity of ''Friday the 13th'' films were rebooted along with our masked slasher.

Jason has now returned to his roots of the first films: He is once again a territorial survivalist who lives in the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake and slays anyone who dares to disturb its peace.
----
* ThirteenIsUnlucky: Claims 13 victims over the course of the film.
* AdaptationalBadass: Jason is more agile this time around, while his other counterpart could run pretty fast when he was alive but wasn't as agile, and eventually became slower due to his resurrection.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Jason acts like a cunning predator and is said by the filmmakers to be smarter than his victims this time (though is still fooled by Whitney's act).
* AdaptationalJerkass: Unlike classic Jason who kills his victims quickly without making them suffer as well as has more sympathetic qualities, this Jason is more malicious and violent, actually prolonging and slowly killing victims, including hanging a girl in her sleeping bag over a fire to cook her to death and throwing an axe into a victim's back to use as bait before finishing him off.
* AdaptationalWimp: Due to the reboot never getting any sequels, Jason never becomes supernatural or has superhuman strength, durability or a healing factor like his classic counterpart. Here he's just a cunning and well built but ordinary man.
* AxCrazy: He's still Jason, which means blood will be spilt. As well as being more vicious and bloodthirsty as he is more willing to ferociously murder his victims in cruel fashion rather than practically killing them quickly.
* BaldOfEvil: This time from the very start.
* BerserkButton: Just as in the original he really hates being insulted or bullied. As shown where he is unmasked and the sorry fool who said his face "wasn't right" had a machete cleaved into him.
** Staying true to the original as well is that he also severly dislikes people entering Camp Crystal Lake as he mainly wants to be left alone.
* BigBad: Of the reboot.
* CoolMask: Even he thinks that hockey masks are cool, as he outright abandons his makeshift sack-mask when he finds one in Donnie's warehouse.
* CrazySurvivalist: More so than in the original series.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: As per the original.
* GeniusBruiser: This Jason acts more of a cunning predator and uses far more of his advantages within the camp.
* HeroKiller: [[spoiler:Kills [[DecoyProtagonist fake]] {{final girl}} Jenna near the end.]]
** [[spoiler: It's also implied that he killed Whitney at the end of the movie after jumping out of the lake to drag her down with him.]]
* IdiotSavant: This version of Jason is far more like a predator than the quite intelligent juggernaut of the original. He digs out an extensive tunnel network, and deliberately uses hunting tactics to winnow out or kill his victims. He is, however, still a mentally deficient child grown up into a PsychopathicManchild.
* LeanAndMean: Not so tall as in ''Freddy vs. Jason'', but he is now thinner than in the original series.
* LightningBruiser: Jason is very strong but also incredibly fast and agile.
* MacheteMayhem: As expected.
* RedRightHand: His deformed features, caused by hydrocephalus.
* {{Sadist}}: Jason is way more of a tactical hunter in this version, which means it gives him more options to toy with his prey and is prone to making his victims suffer as he gives gives them a much slower and more painful deaths.
* SilentAntagonist: He never got a chance to say anything.
* TunnelKing: The first real differentiation from the past, as he has dug a tunnel network under the Camp Crystal Lake and around the residing areas prior to events in [[Film/FridayThe13th2009 the reboot]]. It also works as a justification for his MobileMenace tendencies.

* AxCrazy: He's still Jason, which means blood will be spilt. As well as being more viscous and bloodthirsty as he is more willing to ferociously murder his victims in cruel fashion rather than practically killing them quickly.

* BerserkButton: Just as in the original he really hates being insulted or bullied. As shown in a deleted scene where he is unmasked and the sorry fool who said his face "wasn't right" had a machete cleaved into him.
** Staying true to the original as well is that he also severly dislikes people entering Camp Crystal Lake as he mainly wants to be left alone.

* IdiotSavant: This version of Jason is far more like a predator than the blunt instrument of the original. He digs out an extensive tunnel network, and deliberately uses hunting tactics to winnow out or kill his victims. He is, however, still a mentally deficient child grown up into a PsychopathicManchild.

** [[spoiler: It's also implied that he killed Whitney at the end of the movie after jumping out of the lake to drag her down with him.]]
