** [[spoiler:If her supports with Silas are to be believed, one of the moments that spurred Camilla's focus on Corrin was how, when they were still little, she baked them a batch of cookies on one of her visits, only for Silas and several others to inadvertently eat them. The frustrated and upset Corrin's response — being only a child that was too young to understand how hurtful words can be, was isolated from the world in very unfair living conditions, and perhaps still fresh off their traumatic addition to the family — was to say "Thanks for nothing, my ''so-called'' sister". Having dealt with abuse and neglect from her mother — her only family back then — as a child, and being used as nothing but a mere tool for her machinations, Camilla was likely horrified at the idea that Corrin might go through the same thing, swearing to them on the spot that she would always love them and never let them forget it. To this day, she never has.]]

* MoralityChain: While all her siblings are this, Corrin is the center of her world, and the one she seems to cling to deal with her hellish upbringing. Needless to say, if Corrin leaves, [[DespairEventHorizon she goes off the deep end]].

* MyBelovedSmother: Sister, really, but she is almost stiflingly overprotective of all her siblings, especially Corrin, to the point that she even tries to take over Jakob's duties as their caretaker. It gets to the point that TeamDad Ryoma calls her out on it [[spoiler:in their ''Revelation'' supports]]... [[HypocriticalHumor while also getting stiflingly protective over Corrin themselves]]. However, Corrin in their supports also notes that Camilla's affections often go above and beyond what could be considered sisterly or platonic, what with the offers of lullabies, lap-pillows, ear-cleanings, and spa-days (all regardless of what gender Corrin is).

** [[spoiler:Despite being regarded as absolutely merciless to her enemies, she took pity on Beruka when the latter tried and failed to assassinate her — a sharp contrast from where anyone who normally makes an enemy of her is swiftly struck down. She explains this was because of how despondent Beruka had looked when she failed her job, equating her to having been "a doll whose windup mechanism had broken" and offering her a job to save her life.]]

* SecretTestOfCharacter: Seems to subject Kaze to one in their Supports; she invites him (by way of a direct order) to a tea party under the pretense of wanting to see what women find desirable in him, but later reveals that her true aim was to test his integrity when a woman comes on to him. This is because she heard he'd helped some of her subordinates out of a scuffle despite his being Hoshidan, which intrigued her as to how he was so principled as to help members of an opposing kingdom simply because it was the proper thing to do, prompting her to hold a tea party so as to confirm his character for herself.

* UnsportsmanlikeGloating: Does this in Chapter 11 of ''Conquest'' upon facing Hinoka, taking the chance to rub it in that Corrin chose their adoptive family as their real one over the one they were born into - and that, by extension, they chose Camilla over Hinoka as their big sister. Caps it off by telling Hinoka she'll pretty much [[KneelBeforeZod make her beg for mercy by the end]], and that Corrin [[ClingyJealousGirl doesn't need any other big sister but her.]]

* VictoriasSecretCompartment: Uses it to store maps in her supports with Corrin. In the Japanese version it's actually ''in-between'' her breasts, whereas in the localization it's in her bra. Possibly {{justified}}, as her outfit clearly lacks any kind of pockets or place to carry something, as she herself mentions.

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Her spirit was resurrected by Anankos with none of her memories and with upmost loyalty towards him]].

* TheDragon: To his father Garon in the ''Birthright'' route.

* FromNobodyToNightmare: Ignoring the part where he was always royalty, Xander was an introverted weakling with no real talents as a child, compared to Ryoma who was a natural ace at everything growing up. Yet through years of constant hard work and a trip to the Rainbow Sage, he becomes almost unarguably ''the'' strongest character in the story and is only rivaled by [[spoiler:Anankos and his thralls]]. In ''Conquest'', Corrin [[spoiler:must defeat Ryoma while the latter is trying his damnedest to kill them.]] But in ''Birthright'', [[spoiler:they simply cannot defeat Xander in a one on one battle. He simply outclasses them, even at the end of the game. They are only able to defeat him due to him [[SuicideByCop simply not trying after he accidentally killed Elise]].]]

* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: [[spoiler:In ''Birthright'', after accidentally killing Elise, Xander completely gives up and fights Corrin in a case of SuicideByCop. His stats change to reflect this, with his stats all being extremely low for a end-game boss, allowing you to easily beat him. [[GoOutWithASmile Which is what he wants]]. Corrin even [[LampshadeHanging acknowledges this]] afterwards.]]

* BloodKnight: Played with; while nowhere near the level of Reina or Peri, Camilla is noted by Laslow as almost eagerly dispatching her enemies. Even Corrin in Chapter 3 is stunned by the ease at which Camilla leaps into battle and cuts people down. She seems to enjoy battle as a pastime (to the point that wishing for a more stimulating battle is her victory quote in the My Castle arena) and she repeatedly states throughout the story — both in cutscenes and in her My Castle room quotes — that she's not only happy to kill anyone who threatens Corrin, but seems to consider it a first recourse in dealing with enemies in general.

* ClingyJealousGirl: Quite obsessive and possessive in regards to Corrin. She ends up admitting it when Niles confronts her about such things, and even gets in a cat fight with Jakob because of how close they are to them. Especially if she fights Hinoka in ''Conquest''[='=]s Chapter 11, where she shows her dislike of Hinoka for being Corrin's [[spoiler:perceived]] birth sister and [[UnsportsmanlikeGloating rubs it in]] that Corrin still chose herself over Hinoka.

* ConditionedToAcceptHorror: Played with. Out of all the Nohrian siblings, she's widely seen as the most well-adjusted to death and violence, switching between battlefields and home-life with striking ease. However, Camilla actually seems a bit less well-adjusted to such things than Leo is, given that she expresses unease with Keaton's collection of human bones from a burial ground, whereas Leo seems to be very much at ease with graves, [[spoiler:if his choosing one as a battlefield in ''Birthright'' is any indication]]. She also isn't entirely beyond being stunned, [[spoiler:given the shock she expressed at how brutally Hans executed Scarlet off-screen in ''Conquest'']].

* CrutchCharacter: [[ZigZaggingTrope Zig-Zagged]] as she remains a good unit throughout the game, joing as an upgraded unit in ''Conquest'' when you likely won't have one, but overusing her will result in your other units becoming pretty ineffective.

* ElementalPowers: She can wield magical tomes.

** Played with; she's not actually evil so much as she is somewhat morally selfish (she prioritizes the well-being of her family above all else), but she is a princess of the antagonist faction, something of a [[BloodKnight eager fighter]] in battle, [[BrokenBird saw a lot of crap in her life]] that left it [[ConditionedToAcceptHorror very hard to shock her]], and can casually threaten people with death or dismemberment with a smile on her face. And yet in spite all of this, even she is left stunned by Hans' brutality in ''Conquest'' [[spoiler:when he not only butchers Cheve's citizens and executes all the defeated Hoshidan soldiers in Chapter 13, but also has Scarlet cruelly executed off-screen in a manner so grotesque that she's lost for words]].

* LordBritishPostulate: He appears on the map during Chapter 12 of ''Birthright''... [[FinalBossPreview as the Boss]]. The ''goal'' of the map is to have Corrin escape... or you can [[BullyingADragon attempt to fight him]] and [[CurbStompBattle promptly get your ass kicked]]. You ''can'' in fact defeat him here however, if you've done a ''lot'' of level grinding and [[DevelopersForesight he has a unique quote]] if you do so.

* Expy: Possibly an unintentional one, but Garon seems to share a lot of traits with another Nintendo villain, Ganondorf. He's a an ageing evil king who's LargeAndInCharge wearing a black armor that's quite reminiscent of the one Ganondorf wears in Twilight Princess, down to the slightly rotund body type of the king. The similarities do not stop there : Garon is one letter off from being Ganon, they both have a sickly skin tone that hints at their ObviouslyEvil nature, and they spend a sizeable amount of time manipulating the events of their respective stories. There's numerous parallels between the two, up to the fact that [[spoiler:they are both related to a higher entity: Anankos for Garon, and Demise for Ganondorf.]] Amusingly enough, Garon is portrayed doing magic in cutscenes, but only uses weapons in gameplay, mirroring Ganondorf's frequent usage of swords in his boss battles despite being primarily known as a warlock.
