* VillainousLegacy: Although he's killed early on in Season 3, his battle with Bolo has lasting consequences. [[spoiler:A wound that he dealt Bolo during their battle infects Bolo with Invictus' essence the next time Bolo appears, leading the Team Squad to try and help Bolo, which starts a chain of events that enable Invictus to manipulate Ash into freeing it]].

* BadassBaritone: Just like his fellow Titan Bolo, he speaks with a baritone courtesy of Creator/ChristopherJudge.

* BadassBaritone: A given when voiced by Creator/KeithDavid. He's a being of god-like power with a suitably deep voice.

* AmbiguousGender: Or possibly even [[NoBiologicalSex irrelevant]]. Referred to as "it" by WordOfGod, but speaks in a distinctly (albeit extremely gravelly) female voice while in its original form. Most of the dialogue refers to Invictus by male pronouns regardless.

* DugTooDeep: A variation. The Arachnitects reveal that they and the Titans first came into contact with Invictus because they expanded their universe-constructing efforts too far out into the void, unwittingly stumbling across Invictus in the darkness.

* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: If you look carefully at the [[AndIMustScream tortured zombies]] in Werthrent's stomach dimension, one of them is ''a small animal resembling a cat'', possibly some poor idiot's pet that was sacrificed to Werthrent in the hopes it would have a joyous afterlife. Thank God that the Team Squad rid the universe of this vile snake for good.

* AncientEvil: Before it was [[SealedEvilInACan sealed away]], Invictus has been around since the beginning of the universe and seemingly even ''predates'' it. This nigh-omnipotent "[[EldritchAbomination space]] [[SatanicArchetype demon]]" is also a gleeful, depraved OmnicidalManiac, it's responsible for the Titans' corruption into destructive monsters and the perpetuation of the Lord Commander's and Order of the Twelve's heinous acts, and it's arguably the single most evil being in the entire show.

* KilledOffscreen: [[spoiler: If the three remaining Arachnitects in "The Hidden Light" are to be believed, he was wiped out with the rest of his kind between episodes.]]

* AwesomeMcCoolname: Invictus means ''Undefeated'' in Latin. Even without knowing the translation, it still sounds pretty cool. Also doubles as a MeaningfulName , as Invictus is a dark god so powerful [[InvincibleVillain that nothing in the existence can stop it]].

An ancient, malevolent entity who corrupted the Titans and is the Lord Commander's assumed master.

* AwesomeMcCoolname: Invictus means ''Undefeated'' in Latin. Even without knowing the translation, it still sounds pretty cool.

* BerserkButton: Falling under its sway and then betraying it, apparently. Invictus is for the most part a composed and relatively calm if bottomlessly cruel entity. But after the Lord Commander betrays Invictus [[spoiler:and merges with the Earth Titan]], from then on, Invictus is practically ''frothing'' with rage whenever it directly interacts with him.

* FauxAffablyEvil: He's quite polite if not chummy toward Sheryl, Bolo and Mooncake when he interacts with each of them (except for when Jill comes up) -- even when he's referencing the villains' dreaded plans for Mooncake to the latter's face, and even when he's about to either corrupt Bolo or kill him for defying Invictus.

* DefectorFromDecadence: According to Nightfall, the Titans were monstrosities, each in charge of a different realm. Bolo broke ranks to stop their destructive ways.
** Although it's later revealed that the Titans were ''all'' originally benevolent but Bolo was the only one who managed to avoid being corrupted by Invictus.

* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Due to the show's cancellation, it got exactly what it wanted and likely succeeded in its goals of destroying the universe.]]

* SlasherSmile: Aside from its projected form [[spoiler: and its true, unleashed form]] always sporting a wicked grin, you can always expect anyone it possesses to have one as well.

* SlasherSmile: Besides its astral form's GlasgowGrin, this honestly seems to be Invictus' default expression, as when it doesn't need to use subtlety to deceive others, Invictus near-constantly sports this kind of smile whenever it's possessing the zombie Garys or a living vessel directly.
** Again sports it while possessing dead multiverse Garys and later on Fox's body in Season 3. Seems to be a trend with this guy.
** [[spoiler:Its true form sports one as well.]]

* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler: Downplayed since as a servant of Invictus it wouldn't be out of the realm of what he would seek to accomplish, but Oreskis unknowingly sets up the events of "The Chamber of Doubt" and the "death" of Fox - a ''massive'' factor into Ash's downward spiral and disillusion with the Team Squad - by giving Bolo a nasty, infectious wound that drives him insane.]]

* SupernaturalIsPurple: Besides the PurpleIsPowerful mentioned above, it causes the eyes of anyone it possesses including the zombie Gary's to glow with purple light.

* TookALevelInJerkass: {{Downplayed}}. After escaping his eons-long imprisonment, in Season 3 he briefly deceives Mooncake into believing Gary has died so Mooncake will help him kill [[spoiler:Oreskis]] for Bolo's own selfish {{revenge}}. Mooncake and Gary call him out on how uncool this was when they learn of the deception, and Bolo admits after claiming his revenge that he was at fault. He's still a pretty chill guy apart from this one incident though.

* FrameUp: [[spoiler: Manages to pull this on Gary by forcefully changing his robot arm into its blade form and plunging it into a possessed Fox, to make sure its stated prophecy of the former killing the latter seemingly comes true in front of Ash. And thanks to Invictus' corruption having wormed its way well into her head as well as a slew of other misfortunes throughout season 3, it works and plays a substantial part in her [[FaceHeelTurn defecting from the Team Squad.]]]]

* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:Season 3 ends with Ash successfully freeing it from Final Space by draining and possibly killing Mooncake, allowing Invictus to regain its true form, subdue and seal away the treacherous Lord Commander and then prepare to fuck the entire universe into nothingness.]]
