!Fairy Tail guild
Formed by Mavis Vermillion, Yuri Dreyar, Precht Gaebolg (who would later become known as Hades), Warrod Sequen, and [[spoiler:Sparda]], Fairy Tail is the most famous wizards' guild in the Kingdom of Fiore, most widely known for producing some of the most powerful wizards in the history of magic—so powerful, in fact, they [[DestructiveSavior cause unintended destruction no matter what they do]].

* BadassCrew: Fairy Tail easily outnumbers the other guilds in terms of badass members by a dozen-fold. They're also a colorful, tightly knit bunch of goofballs who consider each other closer than any family.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: They baffle all ordinary folks (and sometimes each other) with their eccentricities, but they all have one thing in common: mess with their guild, and they will ''end'' you.
* FamilyOfChoice: Act as this to all their members offering them a home and a source of solidarity during any emotional times.

[[folder:Natsu Dragneel]]
A Fire Dragon Slayer and the famous Fairy Tail wizard known as "Salamander". He was raised from a young age by the dragon Igneel, who mysteriously disappeared seven years ago on July 7, X777. Ever since then, Natsu has been on a personal journey to find the dragon and learn what happened.

* ExtremelyProtectiveChild: Griffon threatening to kill Igneel in revenge for his many defeats is enough for Natsu to go berserk and take him down.
* FingerGun: [[spoiler:Natsu joins in with this in the iconic "Jackpot" scene in beating Arkham.]]
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Natsu [[TakingTheBullet intercepts a swing meant for Wendy]] from [[spoiler:Vergil; this leaves him with a permanent diagonal scar across his chest.]]
* HotBlooded: Now with Dante and his friends joining the party, Natsu's got even more regular sparring partners, and he's ecstatic about it.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Despite happily playing the part of HotBlooded [[BloodKnight fight maniac]], Natsu has shown on occasion that he can be a tactical thinker when needed, suggesting to counter Vergil's speed boost from Beowulf by simply stealing the weapon, and coming up with a plan to defeat [[spoiler:The Mundus enhanced]] Hades after a prolonged battle despite everyone being exhausted and the latter having plenty of power left.
* TraumaButton: [[spoiler:Boisterous as he usually is, his encounter with Vergil did a number on him, to the point Natsu confuses Gildarts with him during the S-Class Trials, leaving him frozen with fear.]]

The DemonSlaying HalfHumanHybrid son of [[AscendedDemon Sparda]] and a human named Eva. After losing his mother to demons as a child, Dante grows up to become a demon-hunting mercenary who runs his own devil-hunting business named Devil May Cry. After his shop is destroyed (again) he joins the Fairy Tail guild.

* AdaptationalWimp: While he does show more creativity with his arsenal (making this a bit of a ZigzaggedTrope) his overall capabilities are less than those of his game counterpart. He has yet to defeat Vergil on his own (only doing so with help from Natsu), Mundus, who defeated in the first game, is stated to be out of his league (though he benefits from AdaptationalBadass) and [[spoiler:actually ''lost'' his first fight with Nero]]. This is [[JustifiedTrope justified]] since he's still in his twenties, which is relatively early in his career even in the games.
* TheAce: Is this even amongst [[BunnyEarsLawyer Fairy Tail]], having a broad range of weapons, abilities, and years of experience hunting demons before joining, to the point he was able to curb stomp fellow [[TheAce Ace]] Erza on his first day.
* CoolBigBro: Like Natsu, he's got this relationship with Lucy and Wendy. [[spoiler:All the more poignant with the former considering they're maternal cousins.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: More than half of what comes out of Dante's mouth is usually a quip of some kind.
* IShallTauntYou: Carla notes in [[spoiler:the final battle with Arkham]] that no matter how powerful the enemy may be, Dante will always crack at least one joke at them.
* MesACrowd: Doppelganger Style lets him create up to four duplicates in the middle of a fight.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Dante shows excellent skill with his trademark sword, [[{{BFS}} Rebellion]], [[GunsAkimbo Ebony and Ivory]], [[DualWielding Agni and Rudra]], Cerberus and Nevan. Plus he can scrap barehanded with the best.
* PerpetualPoverty: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. His time in Fairy Tail has given him a steady supply of jobs, enough to finally work off his debt.
* RedBaron: He got in chapter 73 the nickname Crimson Knight fiting for him.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:Dante learns in Edolas that Lucy's counterpart is the niece of his mother's, leading him to wonder if the same is true back home. * SuperMode: Unlocks his Devil Trigger during his first on-screen fight with Vergil. Though he uses it sparingly, due to how stamina intensive it can be.
* TimeStandsStill: His Quicksilver Style lets him do this, letting him outmaneuver and take them by surprise.

A Celestial Wizard who uses a set of magical Gatekeys to summon otherworldly Celestial Spirits to fight on her behalf.

* AncestralWeapon: [[spoiler:Capricorn explains that the Morningstar was forged by Sparda himself in this story and given to Lucy's ancestor, Anna Heartfilia. It's then been passed down the family to Lucy's mother, Layla.]]
* GrewASpine: In regards to her interactions with Aquarius. When summoning her to help deal with [[ImplacableMan Kain Hikaru]], the spirit, as usual, starts complaining about Lucy interrupting her date, ''[[SkewedPriorities despite Lucy doing so because their opponent was close to killing Trish]]''. Lucy cuts her off with an ArmourPiercingSlap and [[TranquilFury calmly states]] that while she respects her spirits' wishes, she refuses to allow her friends to be hurt simply to satisfy the mermaid's whims. [[spoiler:Aquarius is impressed and admits she was trying to invoke this trope all along]].

An Exceed, a race of cat-like beings from the parallel world of Edolas, whose egg was found and hatched by Natsu, and the two have remained inseparable friends ever since.

[[folder:Gray Fullbuster]]
An ice wizard and rival of Natsu, who happens to be a fire wizard. Though more down-to-earth than most of his guildmates, he has the unhealthy habit of taking off his clothes without thinking.

* DeadpanSnarker: Not quite at Dante's level, but Gray's got his moments. Especially with [[IdiotHero Natsu]] around.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Gray can shape his ice into traditional weapons, and his time with Dante leads him to copy Rebellion and Cerberus, both of which he proves skilled at using.
* SwissArmySuperpower: Aside from just freezing things solid, he can use Ice Make for both offensive and defensive purposes, travel, and a limited version of healing (at least where burns are concerned).

Fairy Tail's most powerful female wizard, renowned throughout the kingdom as "Titania", the Queen of the Fairies. Using her magic, The Knight, she can "Requip"—instantaneously exchange and equip—hundreds of different weapons and suits of armor that enhance her already tremendous strength and swordsmanship.

* BashSiblings: Forms this with Dante, with the two mentioning that they spar rather frequently. [[spoiler:This shows when they display excellent teamwork against [[BloodKnight Azuma]], who notes that he'd definitely lose if the fight went on]].
* BerserkButton: When confronted by someone who sacrificed their humanity for power she ''will'' be pissed.
** Her first solo fight with Vergil, when she learned about him severing his human part, she wanted to beat him up for that only to lose badly.
** When fighting Credo for the second time in his Credo Angelo form, she questions why he sacrificed his humanity for demonic power (which, according to him, he didn't sacrifice anything that sort). Unlike above with Vergil, she won this time, and to prove even though she is an ordinary human and him being a demon or an Angel she still can beat him.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Erza's got an even bigger repertoire of weapons than Dante (except for firearms) and knows how to use every piece of it flawlessly.
* TeamMom: Erza is always ready to help the others of her guild. [[spoiler:She stands by Lady throughout her time trying to kill Arkham, and hugs her when she succeeds.]]

A young Sky Dragon Slayer raised by the dragon Grandeeney in the art of healing and support magic until her disappearance in X777.

* ACupAngst: Shows despair at the thought of being flat even as an adult, from her reaction to Reedus's painting.
* AdaptationalBadass: Seeks combat training from Modeus, honing her skills to a far greater degree much earlier than in canon.
** In Vergil arc she was a DamselInDistress when she got kidnapped by Vergil she used her [[BreathWeapon Sky Dragon Roar]] twice but missed him too but in Devil Hand Arc she was able to hit him this time ThirdTimesTheCharm indeed.
* EveryonesBabySister: As one of the guild's youngest members, Wendy is naturally doted on and protected by nearly everyone else.
* ParentalSubstitute: Admits that she sees Modeus as a father.

Carla is Wendy's serious-minded but well-meaning female Exceed partner and caretaker, born and raised at Cait Shelter after being sent from her native Edolas by her mother, Queen Chagot.

[[folder:Lisanna Strauss]]
Mirajane and Elfman's younger sister, who seemingly died on a mission years ago. Later revealed to have been transported to Edolas, and reunites with her friends from Earthland upon their arrival.

* AscendedExtra: In canon, she was largely OutOfFocus, even during her debut in the Edolas Arc. Here she joins the main group from the beginning of said arc and frequently accompanies Natsu and Happy on jobs after returning to Earthland.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: With Natsu and unlike canon showed more of these two with Lisanna kissing Natsu for affection.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: She's one of the few humans Porlyusica can tolerate for this reason. She has compassion for all living creatures, especially animals, and the reason why she got Animal Soul to begin with.
** She also has an interest in [[InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons dragons]] when she was a child she finds it incredible that Natsu was raised by a dragon named Igneel and a while later in she talked about Wendy and her dragon [[FeatheredDragons Grandeeney]] because she was curious.
* NiceGirl: Just as canon she is this here too as well.
** When Lucy confesses about her feelings for Natsu and that she is grown a bit jealous towards her but decided to IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy and that she wants to still be friends with her with only Lisanna thinking that it will be better to share Natsu with Lucy agreeing with that logic.
* TookALevelInBadass:
** [[spoiler:After a near-fatal wound, Natsu heals her with a blood-based dragon ritual that gives her a ''Dragon Take-Over''.]]
** She also has more Animal Soul powers including;

A demon woman created by Mundus to kill Dante, deliberately giving her a striking resemblance to Dante's deceased mother, only for Trish to betray her former master.

* CoolSword: Trish still uses the Demon Sword Sparda here as in canon, despite certain parties being interested in it.
* She is this for Wendy Lisanna and offcourse Lucy.
** She does an good bond with Wendy she is protective towards her when she is in dangerour and when she sees from Reedus drawlings having a flat chest she feeling some despair so Trish can give her some womaning advice to help her out(Without guarantees) with the younger girl grapping both her hands while saying please! do!.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: Her debut chapter has her come into conflict with Erza over the latter mistaking her for a demon. Trish could have easily cleared it up, but [[BloodKnight wanted an opportunity for an all-out fight against the famous 'Titania']].
* ShockAndAwe: Her favored means of attack. In ''Devil's Retribution,'' she's learned how to transform into lightning for extra speed.
* SuperMode: [[spoiler:Gains access to a Devil Trigger of her own during Grimoire Hearts invasion.]]
* TraumaButton: [[spoiler:After being [[PeoplePuppets controlled]] by Mary Hughes wand several times she shocks the latter unconscious. Afterwards she remarks that she's had enough bad experiences with people using her as a puppet.]]

A BadassNormal demon hunter formerly known as Mary. Her current name came from Dante's penchant to just call her "Lady" after she refused to introduce herself.

* BadassNormal: Is the only member of the guild to have no powers, magical or demonic. She more than makes up for it with her extensive arsenal of guns, explosives, her signature rocket launcher, and ImprobableAimingSkills. When participating in the S-Class trial, Dante chooses her as his partner, showing his faith in her skills over the others' magic.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: [[spoiler:As an experiment, Arkham implants a lacrima into Lady. It's not until the Tenrou Island Arc that it takes effect, giving her Steel Devil Slayer Magic, on top of her extensive arsenal of firearms and explosives]].
* ExtraOreDinary: [[spoiler:An implanted Lacrima gives her Steel Devil-Slayer Magic, letting her coat her skin, form a blade from her arm, and use [[BreathAttack Steel Devil's Rage]].]]
* HeIsNotMyBoyfriend: Is incredibly annoyed at Happy's suggestion that she has feelings for Dante, angrily listing the latter's bad qualities (constant debt, slovenly living space) before threatening to shoot the talking cat if he ever suggests it again.

One of the two apprentices of the Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda. He was entrusted with the will of Sparda before his master's revolt in the Demon World.

* AscendedExtra: Was a one-off character in the animated series, who was killed in his debut episode. Here he avoids the events that lead up to his death and joins the main cast.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Modeus is a polite, gentle person, but he's also a former apprentice of [[WorldsBestWarrior Sparda]] and hasn't forgotten his lessons.
* DualWielding: Modeus is a master with his twin swords.
* MasterSwordsman: He was trained by ''Sparda'' himself, so this is to be expected.
* TheMentor: Wendy asks him to train her on how to fight properly.
* OnlySaneMan: It says something about Fairy Tail when a demon is one of its most level-headed and calm members.
* MoralityPet: His first one was his brother, Baul, but after his death, he joined Fairy Tail and Wendy became his new MoralityPet with having a father and daughter relationship with Carla even saying that Wendy grew quite fond of him and he could be a better role model than [[SirSwearsALot Dante]] and [[HotBlooded Natsu]].
* ParentalSubstitute: Wendy reveals to Patty that she's come to see Modeus as a father figure.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In canon, he attempted to avenge his brother after Dante killed him (in self-defense). Here Modeus himself was forced to do so and does not attempt the same.

* BigDamnHeroes: In the Devil Hand Arc, while Dante, Natsu, Gray, Happy, Lucy, Ezra, Juvia, Lisanna, Mira, Elfman, Modeus, Trish, Lady, Wendy, Carla, Panther Lily, and Gajeel defeated Devil Hand's elite Seven Sins and other members alongside Blue Pegasus as well Lamia Scale stopped the invading demon hordes as well Lady killing [[ArcVillain Arkham]], it was Makarov who ends up destroying Temen-ni-gru for good with [[HolyHandGrenade Fairy Law]].
* HorrifyingTheHorror: He was able to intimidate Vergil, TheDreaded OneManArmy half-demon, with just magic pulse and a DeathGlare alone with Vergil slightly backing off with himself admitting that even full power might not win against the Fairy Tail guild master.
* PapaWolf: Makarov considers every member of Fairy Tail as his children. When Vergil declines to join Fairy Tail, he gives the half-demon advice and later a warning that if he ever harms his children he won't hesitate to obliterate him, a threat that actually causes Vergil to backed away.
** When Lady told her about her past Makarov fully understand felt sympathetic and considers Lady as one of his children, much to her joy.

A broker and agent who helped Dante before he joined Fairy Tail.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: He is the one that hired Fairy Tail in the first place in case things get too much out of hand for Dante, but thanks to him, Dante became part of Fairy Tail and later Trish, Lady, and Modeus as well. So in other words he's the reason the story started.
* SmartGuy: He definitely is one for Dante and later for Fairy Tail as he has a ton of info like:
** Telling the Fairy Tail Team about the history of Sparda.
** In the Devil Hand Arc, he warned Dante and the rest of Fairy Tail about a new Dark Guild filled with demons that he overheard from some Rune Knights, including their name Devil Hand. He also spoke with former Magic Council member Yajima, who heard from Org about how strict the new council is.
** During the Seven Year Time Skip, he found information of Angel/Sorano's little sister Yukino founding out that she joined the Sabertooth Guild alongside Vergil.
* UndyingLoyalty: No matter how much Dante owes him debt, he always helps him, which transfers over to Fairy Tail after Dante joins. During the seven-year time skip, he even helps the remaining Fairy Tail members find jobs.

A young girl who Dante and Lucy meet as part of a job and later became friends with Wendy, and occasionally joins the Fairy Tail wizards on jobs.

* {{Foil}}: Is this to Wendy. Both are twelve-year-old (although Wendy is technically nineteen due to being time frozen on Tenrou Island) girls and are orphans but Patty has blonde hair while Wendy has [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair blue hair]]. Also, while Patty is somewhat a brat and sassy while Wendy is gentle and polite. Also, while Wendy at least has magic powers, Patty doesn't have any and is more of a TagalongKid.
* NotSoDifferent: She and Lucy are both [[HairofGoldHeartofGold Blonde Girls]] and orphans too.
** When Patty demands her ice cream cones, Gajeel called Patty both pure evil and a mini Lucy which she exclaimed by it with Natsu finding too a Mini Lucy much to her comical anger.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: PlayedForLaugh in Chapter Poker Queen and Rock Queen she came along with Wendy and the team(much to there suprice) and start gambling instead of Dante with anyong trying to change her mind with Carla even tells her that she is setting a bad example for Wendy with the blue haired girl saying that she is there without finding it too an bad idea.

* TheCasanova: All three of them are this.
** In the Devil Hand Ark they imformed the female members of Fairy Tail inside of Temen-ni-gru (Lisanna Lucy Lady Mira Ezra Carla and Trish) saying while saying there here in seductive speaking with all the woman sweetdropping even ones not in there guild(Angel/Sorano and Sheeree).
*** When they enounter Trish they start to trying complement her while surrounder her altought she is not impressed then after the battle they trying this to Lisanna much to her suprice telling she is just as beautifull as her older sister Mira she must be an angel thought to be death much to Natsu anger.
* ThisisUnforgible. When they encounter Angel again in Devil Hand Arc there still angered that Karen death is her fault even if Lucy and Lisanna defend her that she is a victim.

While was battling both Gray and Juvia he turned the latter into a golden statue and almost killed Gray. When he is using his [[FinishingMove Golden Meteor]] Juvia and Gray had to use a [[CombinationAttack Unison Raid]] to counter, and even then, only succeeded because Ultear used her [[TimeMaster Arc of Time]] (which counters most Maker Magic's) to weaken his attack.

When she fought against Mira, the latter was uncomfortable with how she was looking at her (even in her [[HorrifyingTheHorror Satan Soul form]]) and when she met both Lucy and Lisanna she commented on their bodies, with both of them covering feeling freak out. [[MsFanservice Lucy]] even commented that she got perved by a lot of guys but she finds her another level of sick.
* FemmeFatalons: Her main weapon are Absurdly Sharp Claws named Spider Venom as she was able to wound [[TheAce Mira]] and slash and pierce Celestial Spirts like Taurus and Aries and was holding weapon against [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Loke]] to a standstill.

She later grows more jealous when she learns of Wendy's adoptive mom being a Dragon (compared to her not knowing her own parents), her magic power (as she herself had no magic) as well her hatching Carla from an egg, but her [[RageBreakingPoint breaking point came]] at the end of the Nirvana arc, when Robault revealed the illusions ([[PoorCommunicationKills with Wendy not knowing that Sheeree was not one]]) and apparently forgetting about her. * ExtremeOmnivore: He represents the sin of Gluttony which, according to him, fits the Wendigo almost perfectly, since the Wendigo consumes all in its path without hesitation until it's satisfied but the irony is that the Wendigo is never satisfied.
** It is so pronounced that he can touch someone (as he demonstrates with Elfman) and eat his body heat, leaving him freezing, and when Mira uses Darkness Stream he can actually eat pure magic power the same way Dragon Slayers can eat their element.
* LightningBruiser: Elfman describes the Wendigo as this since despite his [[FasterThanTheyLook overwhelming size]] and [[MusclesAreMeaningless skinny form]], he is both fast and strong enough that he almost killed Elfman if not for Mira's aid. He later was able to overpower her, and would have won if it weren't for Elfman forcing himself to hold him down when Mira attack him Soul Extinction, and [[SuperToughness even that didn't kill him]].
* NotSoDifferent: He is this with the Strauss siblings.
** To Mira: both are their family's oldest sibling and they are among the strongest of their guilds (Mira being one of Fairy Tail's S-Class wizards, Adrian the same for Seven Sins) and both received their Take Over powers when they were 13 - interestingly, while Mira believed her powers were just a curse, Adrian's are an actual curse.
** To Elfman: both lost control in their first full body Takeovers. While Elfman injured Lisanna, an event that still haunts him (particularly since he thought he had killed her), Adrian killed his own family.
** To Lisanna: both are their team's youngest member (Lisanna among her siblings, Adrian among the Sins) and [[spoiler:his death is pretty similar to how Lisanna was thought to have died - while [[GoOutWithASmile smiling]]]].
* NothingIsScarier: Wendigo Take-Over is pretty unsettling itself but here is the real scary thing... what the hell is the Wendigo? Neither Elfman nor Mira had ever seen or heard something like it, with Mira noting that her Satan Soul (with powers and abilities from multiple demons) looks like Peter Pan compared to Wendigo. Not even Makarov knows.
** According to Adrian, the Wendigo is an ancient creature that lived on the highest mountains, who had the ability to consume heat through its skin. Adrian managed to survive being attacked by it by causing a rockslide, but this cursed him to become the Wendigo, and the first time he used the power he attacked his own village and ate everything - including his own family.
* SkullForAHead: The Wendigo's most unsettling feature is its head, which resembles a goat skull with [[HornedHumanoid long curved horns]] with [[MoreTeeththantheOsmondFamily razor-sharp teeth]] that will consume all.
** Combined with and powerful bite force he gives him an advantage over Elfman and Mira that almost killed them.
* UnskilledButStrong: Beelzebub doesn't have the fight experience like Elfman (a heavy melee fighter) and Mira (being an expert in Take-overs) but the Wendigo is not only fast and strong but fighting him is incredibly difficult as he is incredibly savage and can [[NoSell eat Magic attacks]]. ** When she meet Earthland Wendy she patted the young Sky Dragon Slayer hair finding her cute and looks her Wendy younger sister.
** When she picked up the group with Natsu Dragion on the FireBall car she said to Lisanna that her brother and sister are worried about her with white haired girl saying she is sorry about that but she tells her that she is brave wich result Lisanna smiling(she also knows alongside the other guildmates that she is not the Edolas Lisanna but she thinks is better that both Edolas Mira and Elfman are the ones telling the truth) and after Lisanna returns to Earthland she tells Edolas Mira(feeling that she lost her little sister again) that she returned to her family and that she is save result the younger woman smiling.
** And when she first encounter Dante she find his name quit nice and can help feeling concerend about him but when he confess she is her mom in her counterpart much to her suprice and telling that she died and give her last gift(Perfect Medallion) she start to hug him sowing instant bonding with the her son counterpart crying when he is forced to return to Earthland he wanna take her to but she tells him that he belong to Earthland and her to Edolas but tells him that her mother is proud of her son much to his heartwarming.
