* RebelliousPrincess: In "Princess" Bee reveals that she's a princess exiled from the fishgirl kingdom, with the cast page confirming that she's the daughter of Queen-Mother Theodora. "Lost and Found" further reveals that, based on her reaction to Manta and Piranha bowing to her and promising to find a way to bring back underwater, she has no intention on ever returning to her kingdom.

* {{Polyamory}}: Sharon and Moonbeam are in an open marriage; when they're walking in the park with Len in "Familia" they are openly discussing their latest sexual conquests, much to their daughter's horror. ** Even if it's questionable whether it's true or not, one of Florida Man's possible backstories make it seem like a plausible reason why the insane immortal became such [[TheHedonist a hedonist]] and a DeathSeeker. He was once Ponce de Leon, a Spanish explorer looking for the Fountain of Youth, [[ImmortalitySeeker drink from it's waters and gain immortality]]. However, he brought along his wife, who was stricken by illness and was growing steadily worse as the quest went on. When he finally found the fountain, he tried desperately to get her to drink from it under the hope it would cure her, but she had already passed on, leaving him both forever young and alone.

* AxCrazy: He's a vicious psychopath who will snap at the slightest provocation. It's telling that his response to Izzy telling him to make ''one'' change to an animation is to ''[[DisproportionateRetribution try and skewer her with a broken beer bottle]]''. He eventually kidnapped Izzy and tried to murder her after being fired as her artist, then hooked up with Venus and her minions to try it again.

* GoodScarsEvilScars: Under her bandages, her face has a splash-like scar across the top left half of her face and both her cheeks. She is also the main villain for Vol. 2.

* TwoFaced: She was splashed mostly on the left side of her face, giving her a disfiguring allergy scar.

* EyeScream: The whale cum incident didn't just scar her face, it also blinded her left eye.

* AffablyEvil: Cronus acts as a loving (in a stoic way), concerned parent toward his daughter and acts civil towards Len when they meet in her office, but it's quite obvious there is cold ruthlessness underneath this act.

** Despite attempting violent retribution toward the Jellyfish Girl, Orca was genuinely pleasant and easy-going toward the main cast until they began getting in the way.
** Florida Man is quite jovial, loyal and energetic for a guy who loves to stew chaos.

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Despite his incompetence, he does have moments where he geninuely becomes a threat, like the time he made a (semi-)successful clone of Izzy in Vol. 2 and created a nuclear-powered fishgirl {{Kaiju}} that nearly destroyed Key Manati in Vol. 6. It's somewhat mitigated in that he either didn't really ''intend'' for his experiments to threaten the main characters (see DitzyGenius above for the giant fishgirl example) or they get stolen by a more competent enemy (like Venus kidnapping Kirsty and making her testify in the trial and [[spoiler:Florida Man finding the remaining nuclear waste to create his bomb]].)

* MyGreatestFailure: Omegaman failed to solve the case of the woman who drove her twin girls into the sea, and has been haunted by that failure for all of his career. [[spoiler:When he learns that Izzy was one of those girls, [[HeroicBSOD he does not take it well]].]]

* DysfunctionalFamily: They fit this trope to a T. [[AbusiveParents Mom]] was a [[AxCrazy violent]] [[AddledAddict drug addict]] with [[SplitPersonality three different personalities]] [[spoiler:[[OffingTheOffspring who literally tried to kill her own daughters]]]]. Izzy is a [[DeadpanSnarker sarcastic]], drug- ''and'' [[AllWomenAreLustful sex]]-addicted [[EccentricMillionaire billionaire game programmer]]. Her twin sister Adelie is equally sarcastic and horny and is an [[TheAlcoholic alcoholic]] [[FunctionalAddict novelist]] and Adelie's son Max is an [[LonersAreFreaks anti-social, borderline psychopathic punk]] who is, [[ItRunsInTheFamily of course]], [[RuleOfThree prone to sarcasm]]. Even WhiteSheep [[TokenWholesome Kirsty]] has something off about her--namely that she's a literal ''[[ArtificialHuman clone]]'' of Izzy ([[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and is kind of a]] [[TheDitz ditz]]). The only truly sane and stable member of this clan is [[StraightMan Bella]], and that could be because she's only a Pritchard by marriage. And yet, despite all their collective insanity, they (or at least the current members) still love one another.

He was also the sole survivor of the wreck as his father, who was the captain, and the rest of the crew had died with their bodies floating in front of Orca. To make matters worse, his leg was caught in an anchor. However, after spending God knows how long trapped, salvation came when he came upon the Jellyfish Girl. [[HopeSpot Or so he thought]]. Due to having no brain, she could not understand his pleas for help. [[FromBadToWorse And then she proceeded to]] [[IAmAHumanitarian eat the corpses of the crew]] (''including his father'') while Orca was forced to watch...for '''15 days!''' Then, when it looked like she was coming after him next, Orca [[AnArmAndALeg chopped off his own left leg]]. After going through such an ordeal, it's no wonder Orca wants to kill the Jellyfish Girl through any means necessary.
