As a result, she ultimately leaves the U.S. in favor ruling over her own country, much like Izzy.

* GreaterScopeVillain: She kinda shares this role with Florida Man, as she is the reason why Izzy and Addy became the traumatised, messed-up people they are currently.
* HiddenDepths: In "Ravens", as she's going through with her attempted murder and the three personalities are ranting in her head, one of them clearly doesn't want to do this and expresses fear for her daughters and tearfully lamenting about what she's about to do to them. It almost shows that, somewhere deep down, she does love her children...or she would've if the other sides of herself weren't so powerful.

* PracticallyJoker: Florida Man takes a lot of cues from ComicBook/TheJoker (minus being a MonsterClown); he commits random acts of chaos simply because he "[[ForTheEvulz feels like it]]", [[ChaosIsEvil is hedonistic to an almost disturbing degree]], [[TheCorrupter corrupts the main characters in various ways]] [[spoiler:like introducing a then-preteen Izzy and Addy to drugs, alcohol and various debaucherous activities and, before the two of were born, possibly turning their mother into a violent drug addict]], and finally having a MultipleChoicePast.

* AddictionPowered: Apparently, if he takes large doses of different kinds of drugs and alcohol, he's able to gain superhuman abilities like {{Telepathy}}. This saves Izzy and Addy's lives when he uses his power to contact a fish girl he knew to save them.

* TheCorrupter: After meeting Izzy and Adelie when they were kids, he introduced them to drugs and booze while also scheming to get them away from their mother. He also introduced their mother to drugs before they were born.

* GreaterScopeVillain: He is almost ''single-handedly'' responsible for Izzy and Adelie becoming the dysfunctional, addled adults they are currently, starting from when he got their mother addicted to drugs.

* TheHedonist: Much more so than Izzy! In fact, ''he'' was the one who introduced her to his lifestyle of getting drunk and/or high, commit criminal acts and generally doing whatever they feel like doing, damn the consequences.

* ICannotSelfTerminate: As Florida Man goads Izzy into shooting him, he mentions that "I can't even kill me" almost to mock her for thinking she can kill him. Whether that means he actually [[DeathSeeker wants to die]] remains a mystery for now. Indeed, his plan to unleash a nuclear bomb across Florida is more-or-less his way of trying to end his life. In "Stranger", when told by Izzy that he could die in the blast, [[DeathSeeker Florida Man]] gives an almost ''estatic'' smile on his face.

* MoralityPet: In the flashbacks, Izzy and Adelie almost serve as this for him. Keyword being ''almost'' due to the [[TheCorrupter reveal by the end of Vol. 5]]. But, by his last appearance, he ultimately spares Izzy when she and her friends foil his latest scheme. He even expresses [[SoProudOfYou pride in Izzy]] for becoming a better person than he is.

* ParentalSubstitute: Izzy and Addy consider him such, as he's the only adult who has ever been helpful and nice toward them, and it seems that he cares a great deal about them in turn. But when he happily reveals that he introduced their mother to drugs, [[BrokenPedestal their image of him as this trope completely]] ''[[BrokenPedestal shatters]]''. By the present, Izzy clearly ''hates'' his guts; at one point, just seeing him get away cause the blood vessel in her eye to pop from sheer anger.
