Technically Universe 2's Rebecca, who was catapulted 20,000 years into the future of Universe 3173 along with Shiki during the Aoi War. Having died by the time she and Shiki were discovered, her preserved body was stripped of its time-travel Ether by the minds who constructed the ''Edens Zero'', who amplified it and loaded it back onto the ship within her B-Cube as Etherion.

* TheAgeless: Because they are androids, they all look exactly the same during their debut appearance as they did when Shiki was a baby.
* AmazonBrigade: All of them are female, and all of them serve as the EliteFour to the Demon King.
* AndroidIdentifier: They have seams or certain patterns on parts of their synthetic skin to show that they're all {{Robot Girl}}s. They can freely hide these seams whenever they want, though this is more of a HandWave for [[OffModel Mashima forgetting to draw them in certain shots]].
* BeautyBrainsAndBrawn: Witch is the calm and docile magic user (Beauty), Hermit is the genius hacker (Brains), and Sister is the sadistic ex-dominatrix (Brawn). Valkyrie is exempt due to her death, leaving the others as the only remaining members to maintain this dynamic after joining Shiki's crew.
* BrainUploading: {{Downplayed}}. As androids, they can store backup copies of their memories and personalities on a cloud, but only as a failsafe for unexpected defects and partial damage. When Sister suggests they use this method to bring Valkyrie BackFromTheDead, Witch immediately retorts that it's impossible and would simply result in a copy of their dead friend with her memories but none of the feelings associated with them.
* BreakingTheFellowship: Upon retiring, Ziggy split them up with one final order for them to each live their own lives as they saw fit until Shiki came of age. Shiki's goal upon getting the ''Edens Zero'' is to [[PuttingTheBandBackTogether get them back together]], helping them overcome the physical or emotional hurdles keeping them from doing so.
* BridgeBunnies: While perfectly capable of kicking some ass, Witch, Sister, and Hermit are usually the ones staying aboard to helm the ship while the rest of the crew serve as the expeditionary forces and small craft pilots.
* DeathIsCheap: {{Averted}}. Despite being androids who can be rebuilt and back up their own minds in case of emergencies, they are ''not'' designed to cheat death with these methods. They will die when their "core" is destroyed or inevitably runs out of power, and any attempt to copy their memories and personalities would result in exactly that: a [[ReplacementGoldfish copy of a dead person]] who'd know a life they never experienced, and would thus lack the emotions associated with those memories. It's for this reason that the crew agree to accept their mortality rather than live with pale imitations.
* EliteFour: A heroic example, despite what [[DarkIsNotEvil their master's title]] would indicate; they are state-of-the-art androids with unique functions and capabilities that, when brought together aboard the ''Edens Zero'', turn it into one of the most formidable, spaceworthy ships in the entire cosmos.
* EtTuBrute: The surviving Shining Stars are devastated when Ziggy--who taught them that being human or machine doesn't matter--not only wages war on humanity right after revealing himself to be alive, but also reveals that he's already replaced them with the [[ThePsychoRangers Four Dark Stars]].
* FourGirlEnsemble: There's the dedicated and loyal Witch, the mannish and laidback Sister, the smart introvert Hermit, and the cool warrior Valkyrie.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Loyal and servile Witch is Phlegmatic, crude and hotheaded Sister is Sanguine, quiet and sarcastic Hermit is Melancholic, and brave and noble Valkyrie is Choleric.
* ForgottenFriendNewFoe: As Shiki discovers in the Lendard arc, [[spoiler:each one of them had a personal connection to their respective Dark Star counterpart, but Ziggy erased their memories. Shiki suspects Ziggy knew he would become an enemy and needed the Dark Stars and Shining Stars to forget their past relationships so they could fight each other without hesitation.]]

Although Witch advises Shiki and the gang to gather all four androids before they brave Dragonfall, she clarifies later on that while making the voyage without them would be extremely difficult, it wouldn't be impossible. Ultimately, the crew decides they must make do without Valkyrie when she turns out to be DeadAllAlong.
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: The descriptive titles they're called by are their primary ID codes, which are more or less the casual "names" of androids. While each member has a name attached to their "titles"--Regret, Ivry, Mio, and Yuna, respectively--they're treated more as surnames than anything.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Their memories of their first journey with Ziggy to find Mother have been erased for some unknown reason.

* MissionControl: Witch, Sister, and Hermit typically serve this role within the crew via communication lacrima, since their duties revolve more closely around the security of the ship itself and strategizing for Shiki's more inexperienced team.
* MsFanservice: With the exception of [[TokenMiniMoe Hermit]], the Four Shining Stars are all highly attractive, busty {{Robot Girl}}s who have their share of suggestive scenes, despite having comparatively less screentime than girls like Rebecca and Homura.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: Witch is servile and dedicated (Nice), Sister is the rude, mannish ex-dominatrix (Mean), and Hermit is a PlayfulHacker and at the same time sullen and snarky (In-between). Valkyrie's death exempts her from this dynamic with the others.
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: They were all built by Ziggy on Granbell, the same planet where he retired to raise Shiki.

She wound up getting her identity stolen by another android for ten years during a mission to the planet Guilst gone wrong, which leads to some confusion until the real Sister is finally rescued.

Sister's "Heal Atomizer gives her the miraculous ability to mend wounds, repair broken machines, restore lost stamina, undo negative status effects, and even "overheal" people--the last of which is just as dangerous as any injury.

* AmbiguouslyBi: The English dub repeatedly has her remarking how attractive she finds Shiki while also retaining her more obvious interest in women. Similar to Homura, this is dub-specific, and not found in either the Japanese version or the manga, which portrays her as more of a ButchLesbian.

Jinn's "Wind Rage" makes powerful gusts that cut like knives, boost his speed, obstruct opponents, and teleport, while Kleene's "Wind Snatch" lets her ride on air currents, absorb people and objects into a swirling wind cage (on top of shrinking them down to fit in her hand), and CatchAndReturn projectiles.

Thanks to Kleene's influence, however, he begrudgingly opens his heart to the crew.

Jinn uses a form of Wind Ether Gear called "Wind Rage" to create powerful gusts that can cut through solid objects. Combined with his mechanized body and his attempts to practice Overdrive, he can further enhance his wind's strength until it has the force of a typhoon.

Nothing is spoken of it, but the drones are gone when all is said and done, showing he pulled it off.

* SumoWrestling: He invokes the image of a sumo wrestler with his fat stature, open palm thrusting, and his VerbalTic "Moscoy", which is derived from the sumo term ''dosukoi''. He's later revealed to be a highly accomplished galactic sumo champion with the rank of ''yokozuna'' (the highest rank), but is very OvershadowedByAwesome.
