Noteworthy characters that were created and portrayed by the players of [[Roleplay/EclipseAHeroesRPG Eclipse: A Heroes RPG]] over the years. With there being [[Main/LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters so many characters]] coming in and going out over the years, there needed to be ''some way'' to prune down the list.

With almost as many surnames as people, the Rahals (named after the current surname used by their matriarch, Khalidah) are a family with a strong history of possessing abilities. What makes them above other such families on Eclipse - such as the Johessmans or the Kilvaynes - is that nearly all of them have some form of immortality-granting superpower. This has allowed them to persist for tens of millennia. And counting.

!Common tropes across all (or, at least, ''most'') of the Rahals...

* TheAgeless / [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld Really X Years Old]]: Any Rahal who scores themselves a lifespan-extending superpower gets this as part of the deal.
** However, obtaining this form of immortality by the mere virtue of being the offspring of a Rahal parent is ''not'' a sure-fire thing. For example, ''fifteen'' of Nireva Hale's 22 children were run-of-the-mill mortals and, while Felicia's granddaughter Amalia ''does'' have an ability, she doesn't have a prolonged lifespan either.
* AncientTradition: One of the main hard-and-fast rules that the Rahal immortals all follow - and have passed down from parent to child - is to lead a life prone to periodic transience. Because their long lives also result in eternal youth, they remain aware of the fact that something as innocuous as their ''continued presence'' in one place can breed suspicion. Among other things, this leads to the Rahals changing their names as they move from place to place.
* HealingFactor: The immortal members of the family are renowned for being ''"ridiculously hard to kill"''. While decapitation can - and has in the past - killed a Rahal just as effectively as any other human being, they're usually able to resist and get back up from most grievous injuries.

The matriarch of the whole family - or at least the oldest living one still around - Khalidah has been living with her evolved abilities for just about her whole life and, although never seeming to fully demonstrate them for longer than a few moments, is often implied to have the most powerful evolved abilities on Eclipse.

* TangledFamilyTree: Khalidah - and her sister Lilka - are technically at the head of one of these. With immortality or some form of prolonged lifespan being such a dominant trait in her bloodline, the sheer number of offspring her and her descendants could potentially have turn the whole thing into a veritable ''Yggdrasil''; something which she herself has noted. Small wonder that she's the only one who chose to start - or was ''flat-out capable'' of - chronicling the whole thing.

!!Lilka Buchovski (birth name unknown)

The only other remaining - or ''known'' - member of the first generation of the Rahal family, Lilka is Khalidah's younger sister. Not much is known about her, but she has a habit of cropping up at family gatherings.

* MakeThemRot / TouchOfDeath: If Lilka touches a sapient lifeform with the intent on acquiring its likeness for future transformations, she instantly destroys the original.

Upon being corrected that it was not Felicia but ''"her daughter"'', his next assumption was also wrong. To date, this is the ''only'' occasion she's been mentioned or referred to.

* SingingInTheShower: Given how bad a singer Niri is (or claims to be), even ''this'' is sometimes off-limits.
* BiTheWay / ButNotTooBi: While Nireva ''is'' bisexual - having had enough heterosexual relationships to have given birth 22 times over the course of her lifespan thus far - her time on Eclipse has had her solely in a relationship with her current girlfriend, Jenna Delgado.
* MissingMom: Doubly so. Her own mother [[Main/AncientTradition left]] shortly after she turned 25 and, on a couple of occasions, she's been guilty of being one herself.
* Stripperiffic: While she doesn't do any actual stripping, her only paying job - as an exotic dancer and nightclub waitress - had her clad in various outfits of this nature.
* ScarsAreForever: Originally explained away as surgical scars following a car crash, the pair of scars on the small of Niri's back are ''over four hundred'' years old. She got them when her abilities manifested at the age of ten, outside a blacksmith's store in Renaissance-era Florence and, as such, are the only wounds she's unable to fully heal.
* SexDressed: In ''So Much For Normal Shopping'', after Helena (then still Inaki) walks in on her and Jenna, the two of them are left to hastily get themselves dressed after slamming the door in her face.
* WomenDrivers: While not ''dangerously'' bad at it to the point of perpetuating the stereotype, Nireva does have quite the aversion to driving and, wherever possible, tries to delegate the duty to her girlfriend or literally anyone else in sight.

* EmbarrassingNickname: The fate which ''would'' have befallen Tivodar, had his mother not insistently vetoed it. If Felicia was adamant on one thing above many during her pregnancy, it was that her new son would not be constantly named after a DVR box.

* RealityWarper: She may not be immortal or have the Rahal's traditional Main/HealingFactor, but Amalia's ability is powerful enough in its own right. As she explains to Devon Ridgeman, she can even make imaginary figures such as Santa Claus or the Slenderman into real flesh-and-blood constructs. Whether they'd be ''under her control'' once they were is another story.
* TheTeetotaler: Despite being a practicing Muslim, Amalia's abstinence from alcohol ''isn't'' due to adherence to religious tradition. Instead, she's aware that she is prone to losing control of her abilities when drunk. She once accidentally sent a couple of her college friends into a parallel reality. Sure, she ''brought them back'', but... they weren't the same afterwards.
