Berserk Button is for small insults yielding disproportionate reactions. Chichi's anger at Goku is justified and reasonable. and she doesn't go to any unreasonable lengths to hurt Goku. As for Popo, given his power level over the cast, "understated" doesn't qualify. It is reasonable to be demand respect when one is of that power level, it is reasonable to expect competency and Goku to stop acting like an idiot on purpose, or Vegeta to listen to his warning. And given the super durability of those he kicks off the lookout, Krillin, Goku, and Vegeta, and they turn up with no injuries, he was holding back. So those are more like Dope Slapping them. As for Garlic Jr, considering the demon spawn is immortal and we don't know what came after he was absorbed by Popo, it is hard to say it was disproportionate. And Asskicking was Zero context because it doesn't describe how his strength lead to his place in Kami's domain, especiallly when one considers he is too powerful for the role, which makes him more God being the copilot..

* BerserkButton: Goku taking Gohan to train instead of studying.
-->Chi-Chi: Don't you "Come on, Chi-Chi" me! You're gone off in God knows where space, refuse to let the dragon take you home, and the first thing you ask for when you get back? "Oh, hey, Chi-Chi, mind if I take our baby boy to go train to fight some monster robots?!"

* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: Pecking order.
-->Mr. Popo: You, the dirt, the worms inside the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.
* BerserkButton:
** Although this one is fairly understated, he swiftly gets irritated by Goku's idiotic malaproper tendencies and drop kicks him off the watchtower for continuing to do so.
** As noted below, incompetence. Where you probably stand in the pecking order seems to depend on how competent you are, since, in comparison, he's not as disparaging towards Goku (apart from his idiocy, but that's fair game anyway), Piccolo (because he's technically also Kami and especially ), and as of now, . He quickly warms up to Dende after Dende becomes a god and starts getting things done.
** And as Vegeta very much learns the hard way in Episode 55, don't you dare call him .
** If we go by his reaction with Garlic Jr., don't trash his garden. As Goku said: "Don't break Popo's stuff."Sixth rule of Popo's training.

* AllPowerfulBystander: Besides his ability to basically eat Garlic Jr, he can also literally make the sun come back after it goes nova, is Shenron's master, and, as he is a later version of Dumplin, is physically more powerful than any other character encountered so far in the series.

The extent of his power was best displayed in the Buu Bits series of shorts where he was able to quadruple the size of Goku's Super Spirit Bomb after Dende recommended he step in after Earth's energy wasn't enough. Popo specified he'd only use one hand to contribute.

** Even his own property acts as this. His soul-fueled magic carpet could've gotten Goku to the Saiyans faster in Season 1, and saved Piccolo from dying in time, preventing the whole Namek saga... but he chose not to lend it to Goku, prioritizing his toast.

* HiddenDepths: It's implied that he respects others if they're willing to go against beings way outside of their weight class for reasons other than arrogance. He actually shows some benevolence to Tien, who nearly killed himself with a continual stream of Kikoho's and mouthed off to Cell right before he would have been killed, and Dende, who mouthed off to Mr. Popo for threatening to use a hated nickname, and (in a deleted scene) Videl, whose shocked question of if he wae allowed made him laugh, much to Dende's dismay. Contrast this with what he does to Vegeta, who insulted Mr. Popo after being warned against it, and Goku, who pressed his luck by doing his normal Malaproper schtick on purpose. Even Goku usually gets a pass since he finds him endearing.

* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: In the Buu Bits, Super Buu torments Gohan by opening mouths on himself so Gohan can hear the cries of all the victims he’s absorbed, with Chi-Chi’s voice expressing shock that she was turned into an egg at some point. This seems to imply that Super Buu ate her after turning her into an egg in this continuity, whereas the original canon had him smash her underfoot after turning her into an egg because he was annoyed with her.
