* TheArcher: Syndicate Head and [[spoiler: her other evility]] make her an unusually durable take.

* CelibateHero: Fuji makes it clear he is not interested in getting married. He's already in too much debt and has to take care of Ao to make room for another person in his life. However, he adds that it's also because Ao would get jealous if he did find someone. She'll only accept someone who is stronger than her limiting the amount of people who could actually romance Fuji without invoking her wrath. Many succubus NPCs also make passes at him and he rejects them rather quickly to their disappointment.

* VirginShaming: Many of the female NPCs comment how despite constantly badgering the ladies, he never actively goes beyond flirting words. The succubus NPC calls him out on it and questions his sexuality. Fuji is ashamed of this information.

He abandons her once he stops himself from thinking like his dad.]] His past is such a sore spot that Joe Doe gleefully takes advantage of it.

Yeyasu then makes him run around the block butt naked before making him act like a dog. Yeyasu only stops because the group has to remind him that they have people to save.

** Near the end of the main story, [[spoiler:despite betraying Celestia and joining the villainous shogunate, she avoids severe punishment by promising to buy Hinomoto figurines for the Archangel (pictured from the back during the credits and implied to be the {{Otaku}} Flonne, though her name is never outright stated), and making amends for her actions by performing good deeds]].

* TheVoice: Among all of the Magistrates, Joeh is known for never revealing himself to others and merely speaking from some unseen location. [[spoiler:Because he '''is''' the location, or at least was fused with it at the time.]]

* Manchild: Immature, lazy and has no self-restraint when it comes to spending money for video games. [[spoiler: Given the death of his father, the kidnapping of his little brother the loss of his title as rightful ruler, Yeyasu probably regressed enough to not be able to take care of himself to an extent.]]

* BitheWay: While he spends all of his time hitting on women, men are not immune to his flirting. The succubus NPC even wonders out early on if he even likes women with how he never goes far with them in the first place.

* TooDumbToLive: Ao effortlessly blew up Ewwdo Castle at the beginning of the story. Openly announcing that you're keeping her "hostage" inside the newly rebuilt castle is not the wisest of ideas. [[spoiler:Especially not when said castle is your own body. Cue Fuji yelling at Ao to get outside right now, and Joeh [[YourHeadASplode violently exploding]].]]

* PaletteSwap: His portrait is identical to Yeyasu's, but with green hair and clothes with a white leopard print. [[spoiler:When fought in the second postgame chapter, he also shares Yeyasu's spellcasting talents.]]

* WakeUpCallBoss: His fight at the end of Chapter 2 introduces Jumbofication and is surpisingly difficult as the player likely hasn't build a team to survive his attacks at this point, not helped as he starts the fight by jumbofying.

* BrokenAesop {{invoked}}: [[spoiler:Defied - at the end of Chapter 14, Pirilika is roped into a speech where she "understands" the end of true Bushido is a HeroicSacrifice...and midway through, [[WhoWritesThisCrap she starts ripping it a new one]], pointing out that living to die is a ''horrible'' existence and that if this is what the villains are thinking of when they see "good" as toxic, [[VillainHasAPoint they are completely right to do so]]. She ends up ''breaking the game'' in sheer moral disgust, saving Fuji in the process.]]

* DumbBlonde: Subverted. She's blonde, naive, and tactless, but her naivety is more due to having pop culture osmosis in place of actual awareness of Hinomoto culture. She's actually a fashion and math whiz, and she's ''extremely'' good at sussing out how the people around her think, even if her idealism causes it to interpret it in the most favorable way possible. [[spoiler:She's never been present without a plan, either.]]

* GooGooGodlike: She looks and acts like a young girl but she's incredibly powerful [[spoiler:thanks to her status as a living Infernal Weapon.]]

* DidntThinkThisThrough: He tends to open his mouth first without giving what he says any thought. One of his more suicidal acts is him telling Ao to call him darling… while [[PapaWolf Fuji]] is nearby.

* {{Foil}}: Much like Pirilika, Yeyasu is a ShelteredAristocrat who has no earthly idea what life in Hinomoto is like for anyone who isn't privileged. But while she's a hopeless idealist, he's more just plain ''hopeless''.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: The heroes are shocked to learn that Yeyasu, the disgraceful partying playboy, used to be a competent leader who was beloved by his people before Opener invaded Hinomoto. By the present, Yeyasu is outright loathed by the people, who once loved him, for his disgraceful behavior and don’t hesitate to follow any orders to kill him. [[spoiler:Which was exactly the point of Mugai’s plan. He couldn’t just kill Yeyasu at the beginning. He had to ruin his reputation first so the populace wouldn’t object when he came in to replace him as the Shogun of Hinomoto after he defeated Opener.]]

* WhatIsThisFeeling: When he sees a vision of Yeyasu dying, he doesn’t understand why he’s so determined to prevent it from coming true. [[spoiler: He finds out it’s because of brotherly love, as Yeyasu’s littler brother Ikki’s soul is his core soul.]]

* [[LikeFatherLikeSon Like Father, Like Daughter]]: [[spoiler:He shares his daughter’s love for Hinomoto and likewise has trouble speaking Hinomoto’s native language. He also shares her idealism, to the point he believes he can still become friends with Mugai if he just talked to him in the past, only stopping because his wife convinced him it wasn’t possible.]]

* IveComeTooFar: [[spoiler: She knows that what she's doing is wrong and acknowledges that she is stained with evil. But she can't bring herself to stop after all this time.]]
* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler: Unlike many others, she remembers how she died a brutal death at the hands of Mugai because she rebelled against him. This installed a strong fear of death in her. Joe Doe takes advantage of this by using his illusionary base powers to make her relive her moments of death in order to control her through fear.]]
