* RedsWithRockets: [[spoiler: The Motherland, the superpower-level nation Colt originally served under as a soldier, seems to be an in-universe analogue to the real-world [[UsefulNotes/SovietRussiaUkraineAndSoOn Soviet Union]], thus making Colt a rare protagonist-focused example of this trope.]]

* BookDumb: Colt isn’t stupid by any means, and [[spoiler: before the loop was skilled enough with tech to create the hackamajig]]. However, his impulsiveness and his amnesia combine to make him this. He’s able to think fast, and is extremely cunning, but also falls for obvious traps, lapses into BuffySpeak, and it’s implied his [[spoiler: opening of the spam email on his computer that lets Charlie know you are there]] is entirely in character for him.

* SharpDressedMan: For all his faults, Aleksis is one snappy dresser, wearing full power suits even in pre-Loop photographs. His suits actually change from loop to loop, making it harder to pick him out in a crowd.

* EccentricArtist: Fia is seemingly unable to even send normal messages to other people without turning them into pretentious poems, let alone the fact that she's obsessed with covering her home base, the reactor, with art. Still, she avoids MadArtist territory in that while her work is strange and her methodology is unorthodox, she is mostly moral about how she makes her art.

* BadassBaritone: Courtesy of his voice actor Jason E. Kelley, Colt speaks with a distinctively deep and gruff voice fitting for an assassin of his caliber.

** Colt Vahn: [[AsskickingEqualsAuthority Badger]]

* JerkassWoobie: Charlie Montague is one of the most viscerally unpleasant Visionaries, but his First Day is arguably the most miserable. [[spoiler:If left to his own devices, he's trapped in an endless loop of being dumped, beaten, and taunted by his paramour Fia - who, as it turns out, convinced him to lobotomize himself [[ForTheEvulz for her own amusement]]]].

* JerkassWoobie: Julianna abrasive to Colt and enjoys killing him repeatedly even after it's no longer necessary to get his memory back, but she becomes more sympathetic once you learn her backstory. [[spoiler: Colt, her own father, attacked her first, repeatedly trying to kill her to end the loop until she fought back and got a taste for killing him instead.]]

* MagnificentBitch: [[AntagonisticOffspring Julianna Blake]] is an archivist and the newly appointed head of security within the AEON program who is assigned to kill Colt [[spoiler: her own father]] whenever he tries breaking the time-loop containing Blackreef. Using her intelligence and powers to kill Colt in unexpected ways, Julianna also gives Colt subtle hints about his past as well as clues on how to kill the seven other Visionaries before the loop ends, all while she continues to assassinate Colt, claiming it makes hunting down Colt more enjoyable. [[spoiler: After Colt kills the seven Visionaries and meets Juliana in the Stabilizer Core, she attempts to convince Colt not to break the loop so he may also find enjoyment, and the alternate Colts suggest she's successfully persuaded him before. Should Juliana be successful in her persuasion, she is able to repair her bond with Colt and the two enjoy hunting people in Blackreef together; should Colt however break the loop, Juliana decides to spare him after realizing that she still loves him.]]

* CompleteMonster: [[ForTheEvulz Harriet Morse]] stands out as the most sadistic amongst all the Visionaries. Morse would abuse her position as Lead Manager of AEON Program's Human Resources Department to [[TheCorrupter corrupt]] the denizens of Blackreef into becoming the hedonistic [[{{Cult}} Eternalists]]. Showing complete lack of concern towards her own followers, [[BadBoss Morse would torture them to death]] every morning out of pure enjoyment and if she notices Colt Vahn, she would unleash her DeadlyGas in an attempt to kill him, uncaring if this also kills the rest of her followers.

* DimensionalTraveler: Of sorts; the intro to invasions reveals that her talking early on about how there is only one of her Colt has to deal with yet many of her he has to worry about lest she kill him was NotHyperbole; each Julianna travels to another timeline via a portal in her room that pops up at the start of each day.

* WeaponOfChoice: In conjunction with his [[InvisibleJerkass Aether Slab]], he uses a Rapier with the Eagle Eye Perk so he can hide and try and shoot Colt from afar.

* PersonalityPower: Behind her EccentricArtist persona, she's a callous, AxCrazy whackjob with an UnstoppableRage who's willing to [[spoiler: set off the reactor in her hideout and kill everyone if she realizes that Colt's coming for her.]] How fitting that she wields the Havoc Slab, which makes her practically invincible and deal more damage. This extends to her WeaponOfChoice, a [[MoreDakka Machine Gun]] that'll cause targets to slowly bleed out.

* TakingYouWithMe: [[spoiler: If she even detects Colt, she primes the reactor in her studio to implode, destroying Fristad Rock and causing a loop unless Colt can de-activate it or escapes the area before it explodes.]]

* WeaponOfChoice: Fitting her AxCrazy nature, she wields a MG-1 "Pepper Mill" with the Open Wounds Perk. Combined with [[TurnsRed her Havoc Slab]], this makes trying to fight her face-to-face near suicide, [[spoiler: even if you disable her reactor to prevent her [[TakingYouWithMe Plan A]]]].

* WeaponOfChoice: He wields [[GunsAkimbo a pair of]] [[MoreDakka Limp-10s]] with the [[LifeDrain Vampire Perk.]]

* WeaponOfChoice: He uses a Constancy Automatic, a machine pistol loaded with two clips, allowing him to [[MoreDakka reload while firing]]. This makes him the only non-playable Visionary to use a gold tier gun, likely to compensate for his [[BadassNormal lack of a Slab]].

* SmallNameBigEgo: They all give themselves the impressive title of "visionary" despite making very different contributions. Wenjie invented the loop and anomaly tech but Aleksis, Harriet and Frank's "vision" only consisted of contributing money and recruits, and Egor's only contribution was taking Colt's time loop story seriously. The majority are small-minded hedonists who, upon discovering a physics-breaking marvel just used it to plan a lavish party rather than trying to advance scientific understanding or help the wider world.

* ForScience: One of the few visionaries on Black Reef for this purpose. [[spoiler: Colt can take advantage of this by baiting her to Alexis' party with knowledge of accessing the door leading to the Rakyatoplan.]]

* ForScience: One of the few visionaries on Blackreef for this purpose. He is much happier forgoing Alexis' party in favor of investigating a potential breakthrough.

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: [[spoiler: It would be easy for Julianna to just prevent Colt from breaking the loop, as she always wakes up before him and is able to just kill him before he can make any troubles. Her real goal is to persuade Colt into living in some sort of peace with her in the loop]].

** Even her claims of [[spoiler:wanting to enjoy the loops with Colt fall flat when you consider the first cutscene. Rather than teach Colt her mental exercises or attempt to reason with him when his memory fades, she murders him repeatedly and provokes him as much as possible to get their violent "game" started again, solely for her own amusement. However, this is subverted should Colt pick the antique guns and spare Julianna, where they reconcile and party together in subsequent loops.]]
** [[spoiler: Notably she shows little interest in studying the anomaly, sharing that knowledge with the outside world or helping anyone else inside it (e.g. Frank who she's more sympathetic towards) remember past events. As long as she and Colt get to keep their personal playground everyone else can go hang as far as she's concerned.]]

* BadBoss: Thinks little of the Eternalists beyond "expendable mooks", although he does care enough about their safety to ensure that they don't kill each other [[KilledOffForReal before the loop]]. [[spoiler: But special mention goes to his treatment of 2-Bit, who he orders to [[LaserGuidedAmnesia dump his memory]] each day and talks down to. Keep in mind, the machine was made with his own brain.]]

* LetsFightLikeGentlemen: Enforces this in his club in the morning by forcing all guests to wear a [=ClassPass=] before they can open the doors. Having a [=ClassPass=] active nullifies any slabs in Colt's possession, which includes Reprise - meaning that Colt ''will'' loop immediately if he dies. [[spoiler: Colt can circumvent this security however if he finds the overwrite for the security system, or sneaking in via a blind spot in the infrastructure and instead hacking his way through most doors]].

* WeaponOfChoice: While she'll come at Colt with a wide variety of weapons, Julianna's most commonly depicted with a Sepulchra Breteira SniperRifle, though it's hard to describe [[AxCrazy her as a]] ColdSniper [[IShallTauntYou or a]] FriendlySniper.

* WeaponOfChoice: She uses a unique [[HandCannon Fourpounder]] with the Toxic Haze Perk, which releases a toxic gas on impact that chokes enemies.

* DeadSparks: [[He's in a relationship with Fia, but whatever love she once had for him is on its last legs. If Colt infiltrates their secret meeting in Fristad Rock, he can eavesdrop on an argument between the couple that culminates in Fia dumping Charlie.]]

* GadgeteerGenius: He is the one created the security system in Blackreef, such as the cameras and turrets.

* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Wenjie and her duplicates wield various guns among them, but if you [[spoiler: trick her into attending Alexis' party in Updaam in the Evening]], she'll come packing a Vopat Trencher with the Open Wounds Perk.
