He also made a habit of banishing his wives for displeasing him. This also meant Pontus was incapable of ever becoming a Bearer of one of the Elements of Love, as he had none.

It's only one Thaumus defeats him during his attempted coup that things start getting better.

As an added bonus, her having a poor sense of smell protected them from Lavande's [[SmellySkunk skunk spray]].
