* MassOhCrap: At the Wrestling/{{CHIKARA}} 2010 SeasonFinale ''Reality Is Relative'' on December 12,, he [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGrlCbbgZOg&t=2s revealed himself]] as the leader behind Obariyon, Kodama and the masked man who would come to be known as Kobald[[note]]Their trio would be named The Batiri[[/note]], and that he had asked Wrestling/{{UltraMantis Black}} to train them to be his Dark Army. In exchange, Sinn said that he wanted [[ArtifactOfDoom the Eye of Tyr]] as payment.[[note]]Back in 2007, CHIKARA Commissioner Creator/BobSaget (yes, Bob Saget) and [=UltraMantis=] Black had made a deal to send Wrestling/ChrisHero to wrestle for Dr. Cube, the BigBad of Wrestling/KaijuBigBattel, in exchange for Cube giving Mantis the Eye of Tyr, a Myth/{{Norse Mytholog|y}}ical artifact that can be used to control minds. At ''The Bobliographon'' on April 26, 2009, Mantis used the Eye to force [[Wrestling/HunterJohnston Delirious]] into The Order of the Neo-Solar Temple, as retaliation against Delirious' Incoherence teammate Wrestling/{{Hallowicked}} leaving The Dark Breed and turning ''[[{{Face}} tecnico]]'' at the start of 2006. At the 2009 SeasonFinale ''Three-Fisted Tales'' on November 22, Mantis gave Vökoder the Eye of Tyr as he, Vökoder and Delirious walked to the ring to confront the two masked "BDK" members who had been threatening Mantis for the previous few months. Vökoder turned on Mantis as part of the riot that marked the formation of Wrestling/DieBruderschaftDesKreuzes, and unmasked as Tim Donst, who had appeared earlier in the event as himself. He gave Ares the Eye of Tyr.[[/note]]This prompted a big "Ooooh" reaction from the crowd.

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Just like the man he won the Young Lions Cup from, Space Monkey, he vanished as soon as he lost it never to be seen again. He was finally removed from the active roster in 2018.

* YouLookFamiliar: In-universe. Claimed to be Ring of Honor Manager Stokely Hathaway's identical cousin.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Presented himself as being this in comparison to the original Ophidian.

* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Sylverhawk wa
s silver, Razerhawk is gold, Nytehawk is navy blue, and Danjerhawk is crimson.

* IAmSpartacus: The identities of Sylver and Nite Hawk were this. Due to the intense wall of secrecy surrounding masked identities at Chikara, combined with the two falling off the face of the Earth, it was wildly wondered who they were. While Wheeler YUTA eventually came forward as Sylverhawk, Nytehawk's identity remained a mystery for years. To make issues worse, the last training class at Chikara's Wrestling Factory (which birthed most of the roster in the company's final days and which the Hawks came up from) would troll fans by claiming to be Nytehawk with Max Zero, Hermit Crab, Thief Ant, and Boomer Hatfield all jokingly claiming to be Nytehawk. It would not be until early in 2022 that the mystery was resolved at last when Boomer Hatfield came forward and admitted to be Nytehawk.

* GoodIsNotNice: Blanche Babish a ''[[{{Face}} tecnica]]'', but doesn't particularly show much respect to her opponents regardless of alignment.

* ReplacementGoldfish: Jakob Hammermeier brought him in as another vaguely Northern European monster in the vein of Tursas and Nøkken.

* SurprisinglyCreepyMoment: Nobody expected this creepy, headless, umbrella-holding, mannequin-looking thing to show up as part of The Whisper's entourage.

* CanadaEh: From Quebec.

* CanadaEh: On the old version of CHIKARA's roster page, Matthews' wrestling style was described as "Canadian style!" Jagged was described as "Quebec's Ostentatious Obnoxio!"

* CanadaEh: A rare aversion, since he's usually billed from [[PartsUnknown "Wizard Beach, Las Vegas"]].

** CommutingOnABus: Commuted in for King of Trios 2018.
* DropTheHammer: Wielded first the Hammer of Peace, then the Hammer of War after the Bloc Party destroyed the original hammer. One of his trademarks was slamming it down from the top turnbuckle, stunning everyone and knocking them from the ring. Killed the Brown Morning of Belarus and Tursas with it.

** BackFromTheDead: Reincarnated, as iPPV viewers witnessed in the ''Tomorrow Never Dies'' stinger "Waseca County". In October 2015, his reincarnation, the Estonian [=FarmerFrog=], made his CHIKARA debut, then re-became the Thunderfrog in February 2016.

* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: The Hammer of Peace/War. It could barely be moved by anyone besides the Thunderfrog, much less actually lifted.
** After the Thunderfrog's death, this overlapped with TakeUpMySword, as the Hammer was lifted and claimed by Icarus at the end of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-U54xPWCmw this video]]. After Icarus was found unworthy, the [=FarmerFrog=] claimed the Hammer after ''Top Banana''.
* ShoutOut: To ComicBook/TheMightyThor.
** Also a minor one to Literature/TheFrogPrince, as he sure loved his princesses. (And milk maids. And queens.)

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: No wings or horns, can't breath fire, mostly green, and a big head. He got over, though, and, Eddie Kingston put him over huge on commentary in his debut match at ''Running in the Red''.

* BlackSheep: Sees herself as this of the Hatfield[=/=][=McCoy=] family, particularly in comparison to Boomer. Subverted in regards to Dasher after his FaceHeelTurn, as he sees her as the only member of their family he can trust to have his back.

* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: BLANK's in-universe gimmick is that he's an artist who likes to create incomprehensible art.

* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: This is The Nouveau Aesthetic's gimmick, InUniverse.

* CloningBlues: Angsted a lot about being Volgar #77 before deciding to fight back against the Proteus Wheel.

* MoodWhiplash: At ''Time Will Prove Everything'', March 24, 2007, he faced Create-A-Wrestler (today, Dasher Hatfield). In his promo, Crossbones [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wknkxux43dk questioned the logic]] of such a gimmick, and called C-A-W "a nobody," "a loser" and a "dead man." Then Icarus walked over and told Crossbones, "Good job with Franchise/CaptainAmerica," and Crossbones responded with a chipper "Thanks, buddy."
