An alternate version of Sonic the Hedgehog [[VideoGame/SonicCD who failed to stop his version of Robotnik from roboticizing Little Planet]]. After reaching Metallic Madness, Sonic encountered the lifeless body of the Doctor before he revealed that he roboticized the planet as step one of his greater plan; transfer his mind and soul into the planet itself to become a GeniusLoci and gain complete control over the Time Stones. In an attempt to undo this, Sonic tried to use the Time Stones to prevent it; because Robotnik ''was'' Little Planet, this failed and lead to the Doctor using them himself to RetGone Sonic. Fortunately for Sonic, his speed allowed him to return to the timeline, but now as a ParadoxPerson who attempts to defeat the Doctor permanently by any means necessary. Having cut ties with his former life, Sonic now goes through his solo crusade under a new name; Devoid.

* TheBlank: Thanks to his nature as a ParadoxPerson, Devoid's face doesn't exist. Anyone who gazes upon it are subjected to a FateWorseThanDeath, as Devoid ended up finding out the hard way upon encountering his version of Tails.
* CoolMask: To cover his face ([[TheBlank or rather, the lack of one]]), Devoid wears a mask that resembles a badnik's face. He originally was going to wear the broken faceplate of Metal Sonic that he recovered from Stardust Speedway.
* NoFaceUnderTheMask: His face is replaced by a gaping void that sucks whoever looks into it inside. Devoid wears a mask to prevent this from happening.
* ParadoxPerson: Thanks to his speed, Devoid stopped himself from being [[RetGone completely erased from history]], but he still doesn't technically "exist" anymore due to Robotnik wiping all traces of him from the timeline.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: The most consistent aspect in Devoid's appearance is a magenta scarf, and he's an alternate version of Sonic who is only after Robotnik's head.
* ThatManIsDead: Devoid no longer identifies himself as Sonic, as the name only brings despair and disgust for him.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Devoid doesn't really care about killing other people; he's only after his variant of Robotnik. This also means that he doesn't harbor any ill will towards Boyfriend.
