* BadassFingersnap: Can control the formation of his grey crystals and how much or little Colin gets assimilated with the snap of his fingers.
* BenevolentBoss: Zigzagged. The Wolf King turns Colin into a [[PeoplePuppets People Puppet]] if he touches one of crystals for [[MakeAnExampleOfThem trying to escape]]. Should Colin prove worthy prey and get 'transfurred' by his latex containers, the King welcomes the former-human into his pack.
* BigBrotherIsWatching: He (and Dr. K) watches Colin's progress through the offices via the security cameras.
* BizarreAlienBiology: Demonstrates an unparalleled level of control over the transfurmation process whenever Colin touches one of [[PeoplePuppets his grey crystals]] or gets splashed with latex from a falling glass tube.
* BulletHell: A variant. He forces Colin to dodge his mutagenic crystals which get progressively faster after every round.
* ChairReveal: How he makes his introduction, and remains seated as he engages his GemstoneAssault upon Colin. The Wolf King upon defeat, unconsciously swivels [[SwivelChairAntics facing away again]] from the protagonist.
* DeathFromAbove: The second and third phases of his battle involve not only dodging his crystal attacks but also [[CastingAShadow keeping a wary eye]] out for glass tubes containing dark-latex goo hovering above, that'll fall on Colin.
* FailedASpotCheck: To slip past his dark-latex wolf minions, Colin can wear a badly-made disguise Puro prepared for him. It fools all the goo monsters present, except for the Wolf King, who continues his SinisterSurveillance.
* GemstoneAssault: The leader of the wolves is on the constant offensive, summoning wave after wave of grey crystal attacks that in the final phase allow [[DifficultyByAcceleration no room for hesitation]].
* [[HiveQueen Hive King]]: Controls all the dark-latex wolves [[PatrollingMook guarding the offices]] for intruders, and has several minions in the security room barring your escape.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: The Wolf King gets knocked out by one of his own glass tubes he tries to drop on you. His minions can only look on with embarrassment.
* HowlOfSorrow: His wolf minions and he howl whenever Colin thwarts his attempts to transfur him.
* ILoveYouVampireSon: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed.]] If one of his tubes falls on and transfurs Colin, the transfur screen depicts the Wolf King gently inspecting the former human, presumably seeing if he's alright, though no romantic actions ensue.
* ItCanThink: Puro's notes warn you in advance not to bother wearing his disguise as the Wolf King being [[WasOnceAMan a former human]] would not be fooled.
* KeystoneArmy: When he gets knocked out by [[HoistByHisOwnPetard his own latex container]] he tried to drop on Colin, his wolf minions without orders, can only look on sheepishly and don't try to assimilate Colin.
* MakeAnExampleOfThem: After evading his minions, initially, Wolf King uses [[SingleSubstanceManipulation his powers]] over the dark-latex crystal goo to keep transfurring Colin from beast to human, [[HalfHumanHybrid and back again]], just for his court's amusement.
* SingleSubstanceManipulation: Wolf King has complete mastery over dark-latex matter, able to make it move like an extension of his being so it behaves like the [[GreyGoo light-latex goo]] to engulf Colin or turn him into a [[PeoplePuppets People Puppet]].
* WasOnceAMan: Judging by their [[CoolChair big swivel office chair]] and many camera monitors, they were once the head of security at the research centre, before the latex beasts escaped containment. They still retain enough sapience to know [[SinisterSurveillance how to work them]].

A very large dark-latex, [[OurDragonsAreDifferent dragon-like being]]. He is one of the boss-like creatures the player encounters. The Elder One can be found in [[CrystalLandscape The Nest]].

* BizarreAlienBiology: The green crystalline structures around the offices are an extension of his very being and will 'transfur' humans no differently than coming into direct-contact with the latex goo.
* CasuallyPowerfulGiant: He's ''huge''. The largest dark-latex monster seen in the game, and the second largest giant compared to the white-latex mass that is the Behemoth. He remains seated for the duration of their confrontation as if to make perfectly clear - if he truly wanted to absorb Colin, [[HopelessBossFight he's more than capable]].
* CruelToBeKind: As a fulfillment of ThePromise to Puro, the dragon monsters put Colin through a deadly ordeal. By their grace, they'll at least give the young man [[ObstructiveCodeOfConduct a fighting chance]] to prove his worth. But if he can't survive their trial, they'll [[MercyKill swallow him up]], because the human has proved he would ''never escape'' [[TheOnlyWayTheyWillLearn other latex beasts waiting up ahead]] who'll show him no mercy.
* FantasticCasteSystem: Regarded as the apex-predators among the dark-latex creatures, these dragon-like monsters act as HiveQueen within the HiveMind. In the original game he ruled over all of the other various Dark forms and not just his [[HiveDrone Yu feng underlings]].
* FearfulSymmetry: As Colin [[WhyIsntItAttacking quickly finds out]], all his [[HiveDrone Yu feng dragon]] minions follow this rule instead of surrounding him. This is because Elder One is keeping [[ThePromise his promise]] to Puro. Even the baby dragons in the ''Special Edition'' follow this ObstructiveCodeOfConduct by hiding in boxes throughout the server rooms, and playfully force the human to a mirror game against them.
* GemstoneAssault: Elder One will occasionally attack Colin with his green crystals from underneath the floor. These will transfur him if stepped on, as they appear randomly they can punish a player who thinks they can speedrun this encounter.
* GiantHandsOfDoom: The Elder One's hand smashes through the ceiling in a corridor, [[NoPeripheralVision blindly feeling around]] to grab and transfur Colin. To progress the human must avoid the dragon by maneuvering and luring the monster's arm into the piles of boxes [[ChaseSceneObstacleCourse obstructing their path of escape]]. The Elder One will give up once Colin reaches the exit.
* HappilyAdopted: If Colin accidentally makes contact with one of the many large, green crystals which are first encountered in the ruined offices, he undergoes a Latex transfurmation into a dark-latex dragon (Bei feng). If it happens in the Elder One's [[CrystalLandscape Nest]], a cutscene plays showing the now-transfurred protagonist sitting in The Elder One's lap.
* [[HiveQueen Hive King]]: The monster controls many of the [[HiveDrone Dark-latex experiments]]. All his dragon minions though [[MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch desiring to absorb the human]], follow Elder One's orders in the HiveMind without question. They must play their FearfulSymmetry game with Colin to give him a fighting chance. When Colin survives this encounter with the enormous goo beast, Elder One [[PetTheDog grants him safe passage]] to the Library, its dark-latex kind escort him out [[MyMasterRightOrWrong and will not attack]].
* HopelessBossFight: Puro worked hard to ''prevent this'', even begging before Elder One to spare the human whenever the fateful day comes and he finally ventures through the dragon king's terrority. The dark latex wolf knew there was no escaping him, unless he [[ThePromise agreed to a promise]].
* LoopholeAbuse: Just because he promised Puro to spare Colin, doesn't mean he won't have his [[HiveDrone Yu feng dragons]] put the little man [[EverythingTryingToKillYou through a most gruelling test]] to see if [[OnlyTheWorthyMayPass he's worthy]].
* LossOfIdentity: He's one of the '[[CursedWithAwesome lucky humans]]' who didn't suffer a near-total DeathOfPersonality after getting transfurred long ago. He can recall [[JustBeforeTheEnd fragments]] of his memories, but no more.
* MoralityChain: To Puro, who begged the king of dragons he wouldn't 'transfur' Colin. Were it not for the dark-latex wolf, the young man ''[[HopelessBossFight wouldn't stand a chance]]''. The imposing and powerful Elder One [[JustToyingWithThem controls everything and everyone]] within his territory. The monster's brethren already have the protagonist in an InescapableAmbush.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Justified, as [[SecretTestOfCharacter he's testing]] the human's willpower and resolve. Elder One [[StationaryBoss sits in his crystal throne room]] and only unleashes an occasional GemstoneAssault. If he did get up and attack, Colin would quickly find himself in a HopelessBossFight.
* ThePromise: He made one to Puro to let the human pass [[CrystalLandscape his terrority]], should [[OnlyTheWorthyMayPass he prove]] being strong enough to survive. Everything the dragon boss puts Colin through, was to see if the youth [[SecretTestOfCharacter had enough determination]] to survive.
* PetTheDog: He'll allow Colin to escape being absorbed if the human proves himself [[OnlyTheWorthyMayPass worthy prey]]. The dragon king's promise to Puro also counts as this, as he took pity on the lonely wolf.
* TranshumanTreachery: Subverted. Upon first impression, the Elder One seems to be no different from any other latex beast [[HorrorHunger seeking to absorb]] Colin, but the dragon boss is ''[[HonorBeforeReason shockingly magnanimous]]''. He made [[ThePromise a promise]] to Puro to grant Colin sanctuary on the condition he [[SecretTestOfCharacter proves himself]] worthy prey.
* WasOnceAMan: Evident at first glance by his eye and "hair" color, and the beast still has some sentience left in spite of his present overwhelming form. He was present [[JustBeforeTheEnd on the day of the riots]] that led to the latex goos escaping containment. Elder One will eventually come to respect Colin's efforts to escape with his individuality; something he lost long ago.
* WhatTheHellHero: He'll be confused and baffled if the human, once spared, ''willingly'' gets transfurred while in his presence.
* YouNoTakeCandle: The dragon-like creature has [[WasOnceAMan retained enough intelligence]] to speak to Colin and answer his questions, though the sentence structure is mostly broken.
* YouWillBeSpared: If Colin survives his various attempts to assimilate him, the Elder One impressed, gives the human a nod of approval for his "determination" and "will to survive". Upon sharing this, the player is allowed to pass into the previously blocked doorway unhindered by the other monsters.

* AirborneMook: By virtue of flight, the crows are unencumbered by the Snow Leopard's [[ContainerMaze box maze]] that Colin must navigate outside.
* AnimalTesting: Averted. It seems these creatures weren't brought in for the Genetic Project testing (as using avian creatures would be dangerous to contain), but normal birds infected by the [[GreyGoo latex goo]] escaping the tower AfterTheEnd. They're now forming new ecosystems as they spread around the cities' skies unchecked.
* BirdPeople: If the creatures successfully hit Colin, he will be 'transfurred' into a bird-like humanoid monster.
* FeatheredFiend: They swoop in patterns and can catch Colin if he boxes himself in by mistake. Crows were [[GoddamnedBats very annoying enemies]] in the original game, as their attack is homing in on the player. Anyone who isn't quick enough with the Snow Leopard's [[ContainerMaze box maze]] gets cut-off and trapped by the birds. Getting caught by one of these later on, would mean having to do Kade's second chase ''all over again''. In the Special Edition they fly in wave patterns which are much easier to avoid.
* GlassSmackAndSlide: Later in the game as Colin explores the Greenhouse area, one of the crows along with various dark and light winged latex creatures from outside come swooping in, only to [[FailedASpotCheck comically collide]] with the solid glass windows. Dr. K admires the beast's determination to assimilate Colin, but not their stupidity.

The Behemoth, also sometimes referred to as 'the Giant', is an enormous Light/White latex boss-enemy appearing in the game's Special Edition, located at the end of the Greenhouse area. Created by Dr. K just before the fight as a means to obstruct Colin's escape from the tower. Behemoth is made up of massive amounts of white latex goo, hundreds of beasts all coalesced together to think and move as one.

* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: They are gigantic, and could potentially get even larger but are restricted to the confines of the Greenhouse which has drain holes throughout, preventing them from getting any larger and overwhelming the area.
* BigFun: The Behemoth's clearly wrestling with the impulse to absorb Colin, and discovering their newfound powers, [[MakingASplash splashing around the room]] with several latex wolves forming tsunamis of their own. The Giant seems playful and doesn't care for Puro's attempts to distract them with books which they find confusing.
* BodyOfBodies: They are hundreds of beasts all merged together. When Prototype's battery [[ShockAndAwe discharges into them]] enough times, the shock disperses them. But as Behemoth is MadeOfIndestructium they quickly reform their giant body, to continue charging at Colin.
* DeathFromAbove: As Behemoth takes up [[LivingStructureMonster the entire room]] dodging them is made more difficult when they slam their fists or thighs, causing [[CeilingCling latex blobs to rain down]] on Colin.
* DownTheDrain: How they're defeated. Puro uses his own goo body to jam up the pipe supplying the white latex. The flow halted, the mass of creatures drain out of the room into the lower levels of the complex.
* GiantHandsOfDoom: Behemoth's hands will slowly follow the protagonist, but often clench a few times before gaining a sudden burst of speed to transfur you with. Likewise the player needs to take care whenever they slam the ground, as it causes white latex blobs to randomly [[CeilingCling fall from the ceiling]].
* GreyGoo: In the ''Special Edition'' many sleeping Behemoths are encountered later in the white latex jungle area, an EldritchLocation, where so much of the light-latex has congregated without human hosts [[UnstableGeneticCode to stabilize them]], they're a sprawling malformation all overlapping each other. Puro fears waking them up, as one swipe from a single giant would [[CurbStompBattle shatter his crystal mask]]. The Behemoths do wake up, thanks to Feng Yu [[RoarBeforeBeating roaring loudly]] as they chase after a fleeing Colin. Enraged they send waves of white-latex beasts to catch the man as well.
* HeWasRightThereAllAlong: Colin mistakes Dr. K's latest FedToTheBeast scheme to be a [[VillainForgotToLevelGrind laughable failure]], as nothing more than a latex "[[BlobMonster living milk pudding]]" emerges; the first hazard the player encountered upon awakening. Behemoth then manifests, and Colin realizes he's standing in a ''[[OhCrap literal boss room]]''.
* MakingASplash: After [[SwallowedWhole immobilizing Prototype]], they realize they are truly invincible, and start to [[BigFun revel in their power]]. Behemoth starts splashing around the Greenhouse creating tsunamis of latex. It isn't hard to avoid their attacks, so long as the player keeps moving.
* ManySpiritsInsideOfOne: Dr. K observes that when the number of white latex beasts present in one area reaches a critical mass, they will fuse together, becoming an enormous goo animal aggregation. They all have a [[HiveMind shared mind]] and incredible power.
* MightyGlacier: The doctor notes their huge form is 'almost perfect', and they sometimes telegraph their attacks, meaning a consequence of so many creatures moving and acting [[HiveMind as one]], is a delayed reaction time.
* MurderousThighs: More transfurring than outright murderous, Colin straying between them makes the Behemoth slam them together to capture him.
* NonMaliciousMonster: After defeat, they leave behind a residue of multiple harmless tiny wolf-like creatures that follow Colin around everywhere.
* RightBehindMe: A good strategy to survive the giant is to run behind their huge head. It [[NobodysThatDumb doesn't fool them]], but it does buy Colin precious time to allow Prototype to recharge and render assistance.
* StationaryBoss: Overlaps with LivingStructureMonster, since Behemoth takes up the room, but is not stable enough to form a fully autonomous body outside the white-latex spillage. Even if they were able to, the Greenhouse isn't large enough to accommodate such a gigantic monster.
* SuperToughness: Showcases the [[BlobMonster latex beast's]] invulnerability, the Behemoth will get [[HarmlessElectrocution repeatedly electrocuted]] if they punch Prototype yet refuse to give Colin up.
* SwallowedWhole: All latex beasts engulf their prey as the fastest means of 'transfurmation', but Behemoth is so massive they gulp down Colin if he strays near their mouth.

A variegated-latex creature, the Hyena is a secret boss. Her den is in a hidden room before the flooded basements in the game's ''Special Edition''.

* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: After her defeat she's friendly if Colin returns to her den. If he sits on the cushion bed with her family, she'll smile at him, before stroking and patting Colin's hair.
* ApatheticCitizens: Subverted. Even though he's already proven that he's friendly, and means no harm to them, Hyena and her children do nothing to help Colin when he has one of her pets on him. The way they see it, if he wants to [[CuriosityIsACrapshoot mess around]] and make himself into a HumanPet, then so be it. The child that [[ShakingTheRump shakes its behind]] at Colin, does react with shock if he runs up to them in distress.
* BabyBeMine: Hyena has no hesitation in trying to turn Colin into one of her children when she sees him. She also has ''four'' other children, implying that her assault on Colin isn't the first time she's forcibly made someone into one of her children. Luckily for her, Colin [[HappilyAdopted is content in becoming her child]] without her having to inflict the DeathOfPersonality she gave to the other four[[note]]Who all have the exact same [[EyesAreMental eye colour]] as Hyena herself[[/note]].
* BizarreAlienBiology: The Hyena's [[SlidingScaleOfAnthropomorphism not just humanoid]] but also huge, nothing like the real-life animal, standing over the human by ''[[GiantWoman some twenty feet]]''.
* CreatorCameo: The Hyena child that sits upright and watches Colin is the fursona of "Kasami Dunk", one of the game's programming aids.
* GiantWoman: She's a ''huge'' variegated-latex beast that is at least twenty feet tall, and while Behemoth is bigger, she's the largest '''singular''' latex land creature seen in the game as the former is a BodyOfBodies.
* GiganticAdultsTinyBabies: All four of her children are all around the same size as a normal person. Hyena herself is a GiantWoman who's about thrice-fourice Colin's height.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: All her children have scars across one of their eyes. When Colin's left arm is scratched up by her, it's still visible after he's 'transfurred' into her newest child. Hyena herself has one across her left eye. This heavily implies the hyena goo monsters can't infect a host without spreading through cuts or grazes. This means the huge monster herself isn't the MonsterProgenitor of this latex batch. Confirmed by WordOfGod, Hyena [[WasOnceAMan is a former human]].
* HappilyAdopted: If she successfully scratches up Colin's arm, the human 'transfurs' into one of her children, albeit with wilder fluffier hair. She's last seen affectionately stroking and petting his head, much to the former-human's delight.
* TheKlutz: In spite of being so big and agile, it's still possible for Colin to outwit and escape her. The human can trip the tall charging latex monster up using nearby vines. Hyena [[DidntSeeThatComing loses her balance]], before realizing [[GracefulLoser her error]], then crashing into the water as her [[EasilyEmbarrassedYoungster children look on embarrassed]].
* LightningBruiser: For someone so huge, she's ''very fast'', her latex-hardened claws can actually [[AbsurdlySharpClaws cut through skin]], resulting in a [[TheVirus 'transfurmation']]. Colin can only hope to dodge her progressively-faster horizontal DashAttack by constantly moving vertically.
* MamaBear: Her immediate response to Colin intruding on her family resting, is attacking him with an endless bout of {{Dash Attack}}s.
* MassiveNumberedSiblings: She has four children she all seems overly-protective of, and is more than willing to turn Colin into [[HappilyAdopted her fifth one]].
* NonMaliciousMonster: She's just an overprotective mother of her [[CubCuesProtectiveParent four hyena-like children]] and doesn't hunt after Colin like all the other latex beasts do. When defeated, Hyena looks embarrassed she lost to a human, and feeling remorse [[DisproportionateRetribution for overreacting]] since Colin is obviously no threat to her family. If he returns to her den again, she's docile, patting Colin's hair and makes no attempt to 'transfur' him.
* OptionalBoss: Puro tries to prevent Colin from entering her den via the concealed door, and can only be encountered if Colin chooses to backtrack to the vents.
* RushBoss: Either you [[TripTrap take out]] Hyena quickly, or she will quickly [[OneHitKill take you out]].
* ShakingTheRump: Amusingly, one of her children shakes theirs at Colin ''incessantly'', obviously annoying him into potentially spanking them if he chooses to return to the den.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: All of her children have the exact same colour eyes, the same hairstyle, the same fur pattern, the same tail shape, the same hair colour, and ''even'' the same hair accent colour.
* TripTrap: The only way to stop her charging is to trip her up on vines, which Colin needs to quickly tie up three times to make Hyena lose her balance.

Two latex aquatic creatures Colin encounters while traversing the tank rooms and flooded basements to restore power from the generator. Tiger Shark is a variegated humanoid combination between a shark and a tiger, whereas Squid Dog is an evolved transfusion between a light-latex wolf and a squid-like [[WaterfrontBossBattle boss-type enemy]].

* AnimalJingoism: Even though both are light-latex creatures, the squid and shark species are competing against each other for dominance of the aquatic areas of the complex.
* BadassFingersnap: Squid Dog does this whenever their tentacles are about to swoop in to catch you.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Tiger Shark's longing for companionship later ends up getting him ensnared in the clutches of Squid Dog and is seen twice afterward [[ClingyAquaticLife wrapped up in his tentacles]] as the creature now ''plays with him''.
* ClippedWingAngel: In his final appearance, Tiger Shark's trapped in Squid Dog's grasp, and he can do nothing more except spectate.
* CombatTentacles: Against Squid Dog, Colin's impeded by shallow and [[SuperDrowningSkills deep]] water. The monster's [[AttackOfTheMonsterAppendage many tentacles]] often move too fast to dodge. To escape he has keep moving, putting as much distance between them as possible.

* FlunkyBoss: Tiger Shark sends one of his minions at a time to chase Colin [[RoarBeforeBeating after every roar]]. In the original game, he has to keep dodging them and their leader. In the Special Edition however, DifficultyByAcceleration is in play, so his minions need to be knocked out by luring them to collide into floating oxygen canisters, before Tiger Shark gives chase. Worse still, you can accidentally [[EverythingFades despawn those needed cylinders]] by bumping into them. Finally, when the boss roars the third time to summon his sharks guarding the exits - you've got to escape that room ''quickly''.
* GiantSquid: Squid Dog is among many white latex pups that had evolved to be more agile in water-abundant environments.
* HelpImStuck: You can get Tiger Shark stuck on the garbage pile in the bottom-left corner of his boss room. Handy for putting distance between you during his first round of StealthHiBye, but not recommended during his final phase.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Downplayed in the Special Edition but in the original game Tiger Shark's a very lonely latex monster, as he only attacks and (if he succeeds) transfurs Colin to have someone to play with, as seen in the aftermath. He sends hordes of regular shark-like creatures to prevent Colin from leaving.
* ImprovisedArmour: When taken [[StopHittingYourself enough punishment]] the Squid Pups rip the door panels off in the Special Edition and use them as a shield to protect Squid Dog.
* InterfaceScrew: The Squid Pups that surround the boss arena in the ''Special Edition'' often throw their ink latex at the screen, partially blocking your view of Squid Dog's attacking tentacles, until it drips away.
* KissOfDeath: If Colin falls into deep water Tiger Shark caressingly forces a transfurmation upon him. The alternative would be [[MurderByInaction to watch the guy drown]].
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: In the original game, Squid Dog was ThatOneBoss as his tentacles mercilessly pursued Colin around the narrow arena. The fight only became more manageable after StopHittingYourself makes them despawn one-by-one. In the ''Special Edition'' this difficulty has been adjusted so his tentacles reset their positions and you don't get cornered, though Tiger Shark has become [[BossDissonance far more dangerous]] in this updated version.
* SharkFinOfDoom: Tiger Shark sends three waves of attacks by summoning lines of increasing shark-like monsters to swoop the pool from both sides. They don't home in, but Colin has to dodge these roaming beasts or get 'transfured' if they collide. When Tiger Shark is pursuing you, he's essentially playing a game of underwater {{VideoGame/Snake}} with you. As he moves in faster bursts of speed than you, you got to weave across the flooded area to stay one-step ahead. Try to cross paths to avoid getting cornered, and it's game over. Eventually he'll change strategies [[ThreateningShark and all will chase after Colin]].
* SharkMan: Once a [[WasOnceAMan caretaker]] for looking after the experiments in the feeding ponds, now absorbed and transfured into a humanoid creature. In the original game he retains enough self-awareness to know the other shark-like entities make poor playmates, and longs for the day another human will venture into the basements.
* SharkTunnel: If Colin returns to the tank rooms they'll see all the marine latex life on display playing with each other with Squid Dog [[ClingyAquaticLife still pulling Tiger Shark]] along for the ride.
* SkippableBoss: In the original game you can slip past Tiger Shark's [[{{Mook}} lackeys]] guarding the exits easily, providing you time it right. Subverted in the Special Edition where it's ''almost impossible'' to pull this trick off, without using BulletTime.
* SoreLoser: The Tiger Shark is implied to be one, as lingering in his room for too long after defeating him will result in a shark flying through the air and transfurring Colin, when the only one present who would have been strong enough to throw the shark is the Tiger Shark.
* StationaryBoss: Squid Dog's main body, holding Tiger Shark in his clutches, idles in the [[WaterfrontBossBattle middle of the room]]. It's his [[CognizantLimbs free-moving tentacles]] that try to ensnare Colin.
* TerrestrialSeaLife: Averted. Puro notices that despite having limbs, these marine latex beasts all have an aversion for going on land. They won't go after Colin beyond their natural habitat, so [[GhostButler their mooks]] prevent him from escaping.
* TentacledTerror: Squid Dog has [[AttackOfTheMonsterAppendage many tentacles]] to grab and assimilate with. To survive Colin has to [[StopHittingYourself use their attacks against them]].
* ThreateningShark: Tiger Shark is ''far more formidable'' in the Special Edition remake, than in the original game. Even though Colin can cheese the first-wave of his attacks by staying in the bottom-right corner of the room, the monster begins a round of StealthHiBye appearing [[RightInFrontOfMe right in front of where you're going]]. To outlast this you must not change the direction you're wading towards, until you get the second visual splash cue. Time it poorly, and Tiger Shark [[YouAreAlreadyDead will catch you instantly]].
* VillainousCrush: You will notice in the [[UpdatedReRelease Special Edition]] that Tiger Shark is stalking Colin as soon as he enters the flooded generator area. The enamoured Squid Dog is also [[ClingyAquaticLife very attached]] to Tiger Shark and refuses to let him go.
* WasOnceAMan: Tiger Shark was once employed by the scientists to be the aquatic latex beast's caretaker and would feed them regularly, until one day he got too close and a shark-like creature assimilated him.

* AdultsAreUseless: The large female Squid Dog supervises the little Squid Pups having fun for the majority of the battle. She only gets involved towards the end, [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere before abandoning the juveniles]], after taking merely one hit from a GasCylinderRocket.
* AdvancingBossOfDoom: Their battle's final phase has the pups [[ResurrectTheWreck drag their sinking ship]] towards Colin, who needs to bait the squid creatures riding on [[GasCylinderRocket Gas cylinders]] into the path of his own. A good strategy is to save the larger explosive cylinder for a LastDitchMove. Using it too early, will net you a SlapOnTheWristNuke, disarming yourself as they trap you.
* AirborneMook: Their seagull latex creature often swoops in without warning, to steal Colin's pants. You need to dodge it, because while it can't 'transfur' the human, it does immobilize him until [[PressXToNotDie the option to "struggle!"]] is spammed. Getting halted by this thing when surrounded by [[ZergRush enough Squid Pups]] means certain doom.
* ArtAttacker: Colin's sorely mistaken if he thinks he can just bypass their slow-moving ship. Their leader will form and shoot a large [[OneHitKill blob of ink at him]], triggering a transfurmation. Likewise, the adult female Squid Dog appears and shoots globules of ink that [[HomingProjectile home-in on Colin]] and she needs to be taken out fast.
* BigFun: The monster's newly acquired intelligence is coming into conflict with their basic instincts, bordering on the ChaoticStupid. The Squid Pups have unnecessarily gone to great effort to replicate a scene almost out of a pirate movie. Complete with rain, waves, music, and [[StockSoundEffects storm sound effects]].
* GasCylinderRocket: Catching onto the fact that Puro is helping Colin, they change tactics and try to propel themselves on their own gas cylinders to catch the human.
* GoingDownWithTheShip: They all comedically sink once they sustain enough projectile damage from Puro's barrage of [[GasCylinderRocket Gas Cylinder Rockets]].
* ImprovisedSail: The Squid Pup latex beasts in a bid to capture Colin, have put together their own [[BigFun makeshift pirate ship]] out of garbage and crates.
* ItCanThink: They have the cognitive faculties to build and maintain their own ImprovisedSail, presumably to scare and intimidate Colin.
* LivingFigurehead: The Squid Pups have forced a confused and scared Shark-like latex monster to act as the figurehead of their surreal ship. When the ship goes down, at the last moment it seems their Shark escaped, but the sinking Squid Pups [[TakingYouWithMe drag him down]] with them.
* MercyInvincibility: The little ones riding small boats require two gas cylinders to stop. Impatiently firing them both at once while its vessel is sinking means wasting a GasCylinderRocket attack, and might just [[YouAreAlreadyDead spell defeat]] if the pup's close-by.
* NonMammalMammaries: The large female Squid Dog has breasts despite being mostly a squid. [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] however, as she ''is'' a MixAndMatchCritter of a squid ''and'' a dog, which is a mammal.
* PressXToNotDie: The seagull latex creature will often swoop in, trying to steal Colin's pants, forcing you to spam the "struggle!" option to break free.
* ShieldBearingMook: Some goo creatures hide in laundry chests as they float towards Colin. They are impervious to GasCylinderRocket attack. To foil them, Colin must get close to lure it into exposing itself by opening [[ShieldsAreUseless the box's lid]].
* StealthyCephalopod: Several enemies will hide below the water's surface or use ChameleonCamouflage to sneak up on Colin, if he doesn't spot the visual cues they will assimilate him.

* ArtisticLicenseMarineBiology: The white spots on its head act as WingdingEyes, and change to things such as X's. The white spots on a real orca's head aren't their eyes, and are located a little above and behind their actual eyes. Popular consensus is that the white spots exist to give a false target for predators of the orca.

With one of their heads blown clean off, they are unable to heal what they've lost, unless they find their middle head (or a human substitute).

* LogicalWeakness: Because they're so big, they're causing the building to shake and debris starts to fall when they move. This ends up playing into their defeat when [[AnvilOnHead bricks fall on both of their heads and knock them out]].
* LosingYourHead: Their middle head is missing, leaving just a [[BodyHorror gooey dripping stump of a neck]]. Despite this, they seem to be fine. The middle head still exists but is separated from the rest of its body. As its [[BlobMonster latex goo]], it's still alive and active.
* MultipleHeadCase: They used to be large muscular orca-like beasts that roam the Aquatic area. At some unspecified point, the three merged together to make a hydra, but they have two heads, the third was severed in an accident.
* NonMaliciousMonster: The Hydra is only rampaging through the complex's flooded areas because it's desperate to find their lost head.
* NonMammalianHair: After getting "transfurred" by the middle head, Colin still has hair after the orca transfur, despite then being an oceanic creature related to dolphins.
* NotQuiteDead: The middle head is found on the catwalk behind the generator [[WingdingEyes with "X" eyes]] and its tongue out. But it isn't dead, as the latex beasts cannot truly "die". If Colin interacts with it after activating the generator, it [[JumpScare abruptly awakens and 'transfurs' the human]].
* OrificeInvasion: When power is restored, the [[NotQuiteDead supposedly dead]] middle head awakens if Colin gets too close, and forces its way down his throat into his stomach, to infect him from the inside out.
* OurHydrasAreDifferent: They're a giant anthropromoprhic orca-like beast with two heads and a third oozing neck. Their assault on Colin consists of them trying to turn him into a third head to once again be complete.
* PressXToNotDie: The beast has the longest quick time event in the game, where the player has to spam several buttons and arrow keys clockwise and anticlockwise to survive. [[note]]As an [[AntiFrustrationFeatures anti-frustration measure]], only failing the first phase of this sequence results in transfurmation, to avoid the player having to sit through its introduction cutscene again and again.[[/note]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The Orca Hydra was the latex monster that knocked out the complex's backup generator, causing power failures across the tower. These ultimately kicked Colin out of his stasis chamber in the game's beginning to avert a CryonicsFailure. Dr K tried to repair the damage before Colin was released, but because he "transfurred" himself long ago, the older machinery in the basement [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman no longer recognised him]] as an active user.
* SwallowedWhole: Hydra's method of 'transfurring' Colin is to lunge at him, and forcibly stuff him down the severed throat of its middle decapitated head, and replace the one it mislaid.
* TaserTagWeakness: The latex monsters only vulnerability is electric shocks. At the beginning of the game, the Hydra accidentally ploughed its way through the Generator Room. A massive explosion wrecked all the cabling, knocked out the power for the complex, and blew the beast's [[LosingYourHead third head off]].
* TerrestrialSeaLife: The middle orca head is severed from the main body. Despite this, it seems unimpeded by being on a catwalk out of the water. It can even move around to quickly ensnare Colin before he has a chance to escape.

In the Special Edition, the lion cub [[RoarBeforeBeating roars loudly]] at your PapaWolf, making Puro [[DeerInTheHeadlights paralysed with fear]].
* ItCanThink: If Colin tries to hide from the pursuing monster in some lockers, Feng Yu will start searching through them.
* RoarBeforeBeating: As Colin tries to flee, they let out a loud roar alerting all the resident white goo monsters in the latex jungle, making Feng Yu that much harder to escape.
* SquashedFlat: Feng Yu will never stop chasing Colin. To escape, the human must emerge out of a locker hiding place while the lion creature is searching the one adjacent to it. The force will [[LogicalWeakness pancake the goo monster]] between the metal doors, jamming them.

* SuperPersistentPredator: While not as fast as Yuin, they're far more ''relentless'' than either them or the Snow Leopards and chases Colin through several areas. They'll never give up, even if Colin finds [[YouWillNotEvadeMe a hiding spot]].
* TheDoorSlamsYou: When Colin emerges out of the adjacent locker Feng Yu was looking in for him, the impact flattens the light-latex beast [[MadeOfPlasticine between the metal doors]], and they're unable to reform.

The rioters outside (in Dr K's simulations) were also overpowered and despite giving it a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown, could not subdue it.
* EarlyBirdCameo: In the Aquatic Area, there is a set of photos that show how Tail came to be long before his official debut, disguised as a CreatorCameo.
* EscapedFromTheLab: You take control of Tail who uses the riots as a distraction to break out of a solid-metal [[SealedEvilInACan containment vessel]] within Lab I. You must fight your way through waves of guards hell-bent on beating you back into confinement.

* ForegoneVictory: As you're [[PlayerCharacter in control]] of the very indestructible lab monster responsible for the latex outbreak, it is '''impossible''' for you to lose (and impossible for you [[AnthropicPrinciple to transfur Colin]]). The riot mobs in Dr. K's simulations can only subdue it [[DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist for a temporary reprieve]], before it rampages anew, as if nothing happened.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: It was just another failed dragon-type latex experiment on a human test subject, but then it suddenly underwent a mutation, and became too dangerous to control or contain.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Tail is the reason why latex beasts roam and prowl everywhere Colin wanders in the game. Years before the events of ''Changed'', it was single-handedly responsible for the mass outbreak of all the latex experiments from the Tower.
* ItCanThink: All latex beasts by design seek out humans to absorb, but on some level, Tail is aware of what it's doing. The monster cleverly goes after vials containing mutagens in the lab. Once it absorbs them, Tail can shift between powerful shark and dragonic forms to overwhelm the guards attacking.
* TheJuggernaut: Nothing can stop this thing. Even when Thunder Science tries to exploit its TaserTagWeakness, and inability to absorb mechas, ''[[{{Determinator}} it refuses]]'' to submit. Tail keeps bulldozing through any obstacle in its pursuit of human hosts.
* JumpScare: The player gets a ''nasty'' one at the end of its [[GameplayAndStorySegregation final cutscene]], where it finds and pounces upon [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou the cameraman himself!]] No one was spared.
* LackOfEmpathy: When it dawns on the last remaining guards there's no way they can defeat this monster, they try and fail [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere to escape]]. Tail shows no mercy. One way of interpreting this is Tail [[PayEvilUntoEvil Paying Evil Unto Evil]] as Thunder Science security was once responsible for the handling of ''live'' human test-subjects. Just like Colin, they never volunteered, but were abducted from their homes to be experimented upon in the Genetic Project.
* PlayerCharacter: Aside from Colin, Tail is the only other character the player can control, and it's a nigh-invulnerable latex monster, meaning [[ForegoneVictory you cannot lose]]. Tail's journey takes you from Labs I, G, and K. The final area you progress through, is the starting room that's right outside Colin's CryoPrison.
* PrehensileTail: After absorbing the second mutagen from Lab I, Tail can transform into [[GenderBender a feminine]] dragon-like creature that sits on and slithers around with its overly-long tail.

* DueToTheDead: The wolves have made a cemetary in the Offices. Any dark-latex without a human host, will undergo a regeneration cycle where they revert into a crystalline form, that gives birth to a new generation of pups. Even though these artificial creatures cannot technically "die", they still [[ThePowerOfFamily love and care about each other]] to want to honor the memory of their former bodies.

* HiveDrone: All the bipedal wolves are controlled by their pack leader and [[HiveQueen Hive King]], the Wolf King.
* ItCanThink: They know how to use the restrooms near the offices, and understand the cultural degree of separation between males and females who want to use the facilities. Only problem is they lack a human digestive tract, so still shed their latex goo all over the floors anyway.

* KeystoneArmy: They depend on the Wolf King for orders. When he gets knocked out by [[HoistByHisOwnPetard his own latex container]] he tried to drop on Colin, the wolves can only look on sheepishly and don't try to assimilate Colin.

* PatrollingMook: They diligently guard the offices for any intruders, because all are [[InstakillMook Instakill Mooks]] this forces Colin into a StealthBasedGame against them. If he runs, moves in their direct line of sight when the lights are on, or accidentally collides into them, ''they will catch him''.

* AdultsAreMoreAnthropomorphic: The adult Yu fengs are more human-like, with larger torsos, smaller wings, and longer arms and legs.

* GlassSmackAndSlide: One of them chases after Colin all the way to Greenhouse, along with two other variegated-latex beasts. But they're all coming in ''from outside'' and don't see the solid glass windows until it's too late.

* InescapableAmbush: Subverted. All are [[LightningBruiser Lightning Bruisers]] capable of capturing Colin in seconds, giving him no chance to proceed past their crystal terrority. However, Puro's promise to their king is their MoralityChain. Were it not for the dark-latex wolf begging them long ago, the human wouldn't stand a chance in getting to the library.

* KillerRabbit: The little ones are all [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Ridiculously Cute Critters]] but very dangerous. Colin only has to touch them ever so slightly and their [[FearfulSymmetry deadly mirror game]] is over before it started.

* LightIsNotGood: Unlike their dark-latex wolf pup counterparts, which are friendly until they reach adulthood, and just [[CuddleBug want a cuddle]], any light-latex that's bigger than a tiny blob, ''[[KillerRabbit is dangerous]]'' to touch.

* NeverRecycleYourSchemes: It doesn't need to attempt to morph into other objects to trick its prey, as the cones are mandatory for Colin to use to avoid getting assimilated by other light-latex monsters emerging out of the vents.

* FantasticCasteSystem: Regarded as the apex-predators among the Dark-latex creatures, these dragon-like monsters act as HiveQueen within the HiveMind. In the original game he ruled over all of the other various Dark forms and not just his [[HiveDrone Yu feng underlings]].

* [[HiveQueen Hive King]]: The monster controls many of the [[HiveDrone Dark-latex experiments]]. All his dragon minions though [[MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch desiring to absorb the human]], follow Elder One's orders in the HiveMind without question. They must play their FearfulSymmetry game with Colin to give him a fighting chance. When Colin survives this encounter with the enormous goo beast, Elder One [[PetTheDog grants him safe passage]] to the Library, it's dark-latex kind escort him out [[MyMasterRightOrWrong and will not attack]].

* ThePromise: He made one to Puro to let the human pass [[CrystalLandscape his terrority]], should [[OnlyTheWorthyMayPass he prove]] he was strong enough to survive. Everything the dragon boss puts Colin through, was to see if the youth [[SecretTestOfCharacter had enough determination]] to survive.

* FeatheredFiend: They swoop in patterns and can catch Colin if he boxes himself in by mistake. Crows were [[GoddamnedBats very annoying enemies]] in the original game, as their attack is homing in on the player. Anyone who isn't quick enough with the Snow Leopard's [[ContainerMaze box maze]] gets cut-off and trapped by the birds. Getting caught by one of these later on, would mean having to do Kade's second chase ''all over again''. In special edition they fly in wave patterns which are much easier to avoid.

An incomplete BlobMonster, Kade is an enemy originating from the Light-Latex species. It chases after the protagonist twice in the library area.

* CrossPoppingVeins: Through a PictorialSpeechBubble, Kade is shown to get angrier and angrier with Colin for trying to escape.

* ItCanThink: This goat-like Light-latex creature knows how to spring traps for their prey, and given their mannerism thinks they are an [[YouSexyBeast attractive creature too]].

* JumpScare: Goo Deer's attacks are random with no {{Foreshadowing}}, because of this, [[ParanoiaFuel you'll never know]] what'll be a [[FakeTrap harmless object]] on one playthrough of the game, and what is the Cervinae creature lying in wait for you next time.

* CloneByConversion: The Red pandas are shown “transfurring” Colin into an almost exact replica of themselves, except the converted human has eyes, unlike the rest of it’s new “family”.

Stiger is a variegated-latex arachnid beast, a fusion transfur of several other creatures that is an exclusive enemy in the game's Special Edition. Her home is in the darkest, warmest areas of the tower's vents.

* AdoptTheFood: After she transfurs Colin into a fellow spider-like creature from her own egg sac, she's practically manhandling and ''forcing him'' back into the depths of her lair.
* AmbiguousSituation: Her 'transfurring' Colin into a fellow hybrid is one of the only times in the game a latex beast chooses to [[TheVirus transfur]] the human instead of [[TheAssimilator assimilate]] him without their relationship afterwards being shown (whether it be [[IJustWantToHaveFriends friends]], [[HappilyAdopted family]], or [[AbhorrentAdmirer lovers]]). Though notably, Colin appears to have not suffered DeathOfPersonality and doesn't seem happy whatsoever with being taken by the Stiger.

* BizarreAlienBiology: Stiger's at least two variegated-latex beasts who've both had a fusion transfur together, one of the red panda-like monsters hiding in the vents, and a moth-like experiment. She's incapable of spinning silk, instead secretes endless strings of strong latex from her abdomen.
* BizarreAlienReproduction: She doesn't assimilate Colin directly via touch or swallowing/engulfing him, instead [[KnittingPregnancyAnnouncement she'll lay a huge latex egg sac]] which captures and engulfs the human like any BlobMonster would when he gets too close in attempting to flee the nest. Said egg then breaks open to reveal Colin, now another Stiger, with it attaching to the former-human and becoming his abdomen.
* CloneByConversion: Played with. When she catches Colin in ine of her eggs, he will be converted into a blue-eyed, (presumably) still make duplicate of himself
* DidntSeeThatComing: She tries to cut off Colin's last route of escape from her clutches by dropping yet another box in his path, only to realize a male snow leopard-like beast was already occupying it, much to her misfortune.
* EvilLaugh: She'll laugh cruelly at Colin whenever he falls victim to one of her insidious traps.
* FantasticLivestock: Stiger keeps a lot of prey/pets in her lair, and (unless you stumble upon her HiddenDepths) has every intention of [[FedToTheBeast feeding you]] to them.
* GiantSpider: A fusion of at least two variegated-latex creatures, and likely a snow-leopard to boot. She's a huge red-ish brown multiple-armed beast with six eyes, large abdomen, but no visible spinnerets.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: Stiger's shocked [[TranquilFury then most displeased]] Colin stumbled into the middle of her lair thereby discovering she actually has HiddenDepths in using her latex string to knit many pairs of pants. After this disturbance she stops fooling around, and decides upon a [[YouWillNotEvadeMe direct course of action]] to assimilate the human [[BizarreAlienBiology directly via her egg sac]] and make him [[AdoptTheFood into her offspring]]. It's impossible for the player to have Colin witness her at work ''and'' escape.
* HiddenDepths: She has almost human-level intelligence, that much is evident as [[ThePrankster she keeps fooling Colin while chuckling to herself]] time and again, but Stiger's the one who is [[TextileWorkIsFeminine responsible for all the fake latex clothing]] lying around the complex that transforms the wearer into various light monsters. Judging by [[{{Workaholic}} how many she's made]] and that there are no humans left to deceive (apart from Colin), she takes pride in her work. She seems to consider knitting as something of a guilty pleasure, and is shocked and mortified upon Colin witnessing her knit, only then deciding to transfur him due to the human [[HeKnowsTooMuch seeing too much]] to be allowed to leave.

* PossessiveWristGrab: If she turns Colin into her offspring, she immediately lunges upon the new spider-creature before he has a chance to come to terms. Stiger then grabs all his arms, and starts pushing him [[VillainousParentalInstinct back into her lair]].
* PupatingPeril: Once Colin stumbles upon her working, [[HeKnowsTooMuch he's done for]]. Stiger disappears and has offscreen laid a huge egg sac to block off the only exit. Upon touch it will assimilate the man just like any BlobMonster would.
* ThePrankster: Stiger is '''one huge troll''' to Colin in this regard. She's easily the most mischievous creature in the game, and the Vents are [[TrialAndErrorGameplay a brutal place anyway]] for Colin. One wrong or mistimed step means assimilation by one of the many latex pets Stiger keeps around. When the protagonist ventures into her den, they're constantly setting up obstructions and messing with him simply trying to make progress. She lures Colin into wrong turns, trapping him in dead-ends, leaving her pets free to absorb him [[EvilLaugh all while giggling to herself]].
* SneakySpider: Rather than 'transfur' him directly, this creature prefers to indirectly have Colin assimilated instead. There's nothing he can do to stop her moving around the Vents as she pleases, and she'll always be in the best position to screw Colin over [[TrialAndErrorGameplay if he takes just one wrong step]].
* SuperStrength: Stiger is able to lift solid metal crates and place them wherever she wants with ease, something neither Colin nor Puro are capable of doing.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: She loves making pants out of latex goo from other creatures she caught, ingested, and spun into clothing from her abdomen. This serves as a BerserkButton for her though, as she [[HeKnowsTooMuch doesn't ever want]] Colin finding out she's more than just [[ThePrankster a prankster]].
* VillainousLegacy: Stiger continues to get Colin assimilated over and over later in the game via her LivingClothes creations, long after escaping her lair, because she [[{{Workaholic}} made so many]] of them.
* VillainousParentalInstinct: She develops one for Colin should he be fortunate (or unfortunate enough) to get absorbed into her huge egg sac. Emerging out as a spider-like creature, Colin has no time to react before Stiger is forcing and shoving him back into the depths of her home.
* YouAreAlreadyDead: There's no way to get around her egg sac, so once she lays it Colin is a goner. Even though the player retains control all the way to the egg, it's an unavoidable GameOver from the moment Stiger jumps offscreen while knitting.

* InescapableAmbush: Thanks to the [[TrialAndErrorGameplay confusing maze-like layout]] of the Stiger's lair, and that she's setup many traps, if the player notices one of them suddenly giving chase, it's [[YouAreAlreadyDead already too late]]. Stiger will have blocked off any exit routes, and unfortunately an eager-to-please Puro himself [[UnwantedAssistance unintentionally gets Colin caught]] while talking on one occasion.

* OffscreenTeleportation: They'll somehow teleport into the bush patch to the right of the Behemoth during the fight, [[ObviousRulePatch likely so that Colin can't]] pull a ScrewThisImOuttaHere.

* ManySpiritsInsideOfOne: When they catch you and achieve their AnthropomorphicTransformation there's now four beings (including Colin) inside [[RodentsOfUnusualSize one huge squirrel-like]] beast and they start hugging their own tail.

* GreyGoo: In the ''Special Edition'' many sleeping Behemoths are encountered later in the White latex jungle area, an EldritchLocation, where so much of the light-latex has congregated without human hosts [[UnstableGeneticCode to stabilize them]], they're a sprawling malformation all overlapping each other. Puro fears waking them up, as one swipe from a single giant would [[CurbStompBattle shatter his crystal mask]]. The Behemoths do wake up, thanks to Feng Yu [[RoarBeforeBeating roaring loudly]] as they chase after a fleeing Colin. Enraged they send waves of white-latex beasts to catch the man as well.

* ImMelting: It's infant form is unstable and unable to 'transfur' any human hosts, so colliding into Colin reduces the pup to a puddle, from which [[PullingThemselvesTogether it soon reforms]]. The downside to bumping into the cub, is its sticky goo now impeds Colin's movements through the gas-filled Vents, if he tries to move too soon.

* {{Sleepyhead}}: Colin can find it in the Offices in such a deep sleep he can play and pet it, all without fear of waking it [[CubCuesProtectiveParent and the adult wolves]] up.

A variegated-latex hyena-like creature, the Mother Yeen is a secret boss. Her den is in a hidden room before the flooded basements in the game's ''Special Edition''.

* ApatheticCitizens: Subverted. Even though he's already proven that he's friendly, and means no harm to them, Mother Yeen and her children do nothing to help Colin when he has one of her pets on him. They way they see it, if he wants to [[CuriosityIsACrapshoot mess around]] and make himself into a HumanPet, then so be it. The child that [[ShakingTheRump shakes its behind]] at Colin, does react with shock if he runs up to them in distress.
* BabyBeMine: Mother Yeen has no hesitation in trying to turn Colin into one of her children when she sees him. She also has ''four'' other children, implying that her assault on Colin isn't the first time she's forcibly made someone into one of her children. Luckily for her, Colin [[HappilyAdopted is content in becoming her child]] without her having to inflict the DeathOfPersonality she gave to the other four[[note]]Who all have the exact same [[EyesAreMental eye colour]] as Mother Yeen herself[[/note]].
* BizarreAlienBiology: The Mother Yeen's [[SlidingScaleOfAnthropomorphism not just humanoid]] but also huge, nothing like a real-life hyena, standing over the human by ''[[GiantWoman some twenty feet]]''.
* CreatorCameo: The Yeen child that sits upright and watches Colin is a fursona of "Kasami Dunk", one of the game's programming aids.

* GiganticAdultsTinyBabies: All four of her children are all around the same size as a normal person. Mother Yeen herself is a GiantWoman who's about thrice-fourice Colin's height.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: All her children have scars across one of their eyes. When Colin's left arm is scratched up by her, it's still visible after he's 'transfurred' into her newest child. Mother Yeen herself has one across her left eye. This heavily implies the Yeen goos can't infect a host without spreading through cuts or grazes. This means the huge monster herself isn't the MonsterProgenitor of this latex batch. Confirmed by WordOfGod, Mother Yeen was [[WasOnceAMan once human]] before she got transfurred.

* TheKlutz: In spite of being so big and agile, it's still possible for Colin to outwit and escape her. The human can trip the tall charging latex monster up using nearby vines. Mother Yeen [[DidntSeeThatComing loses her balance]], before realizing [[GracefulLoser her error]], then crashing into the water as her [[EasilyEmbarrassedYoungster children look on embarrassed]].

* NonMaliciousMonster: She's just an overprotective mother of her [[CubCuesProtectiveParent four hyena-like children]] and doesn't hunt after Colin like all the other latex beasts do. When defeated, Mother Yeen looks embarrassed she lost to a human, and feeling remorse [[DisproportionateRetribution for overreacting]] since Colin is obviously no threat to her family. If he returns to her den again, she's docile, patting Colin's hair and makes no attempt to 'transfur' him.

* RushBoss: Either you [[TripTrap take out]] Mother Yeen quickly, or she will quickly [[OneHitKill take you out]].
* ShakingTheRump: Amusingly, one of her children shakes theirs at Colin ''incessantly'', obviously annoying him who slaps their ass if he chooses to return to the den.

Two latex aquatic creatures Colin encounters while traversing the tank rooms and flooded basements to restore power from the generator. Tigershark is a variegated humanoid combination between a shark and a tiger, whereas Squid Dog is an evolved transfusion between a light-latex wolf and a squid-like [[WaterfrontBossBattle boss-type enemy]].

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Tigershark's longing for companionship later ends up getting him ensnared in the clutches of Squid Dog and is seen twice afterward [[ClingyAquaticLife wrapped up in his tentacles]] as the creature now ''plays with him''.
* ClippedWingAngel: In his final appearance, Tigershark's trapped in Squid Dog's grasp, and he can do nothing more except spectate.

* DefeatMeansFriendship: If Puro and Colin are fully-befriended, both Tigershark and Squid Dog (among other aquatic latex creatures) are last seen waving goodbye to the deuteragonists, and don't hunt them anymore.
* FlunkyBoss: Tigershark sends one of his minions at a time to chase Colin [[RoarBeforeBeating after every roar]]. In the original game, he has to keep dodging them and their leader. In the Special Edition however, DifficultyByAcceleration is in play, so his minions need to be knocked out by luring them to collide into floating oxygen canisters, before Tigershark gives chase. Worse still, you can accidentally [[EverythingFades despawn those needed cylinders]] by bumping into them. Finally, when the boss roars the third time to summon his sharks guarding the exits - you've got to escape that room ''quickly''.

* HelpImStuck: You can get Tigershark stuck on the garbage pile in the bottom-left corner of his boss room. Handy for putting distance between you during his first round of StealthHiBye, but not recommended during his final phase.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Downplayed in the Special Edition but in the original game Tigershark's a very lonely latex monster, as he only attacks and (if he succeeds) transfurs Colin to have someone to play with, as seen in the aftermath. He sends hordes of regular shark-like creatures to prevent Colin from leaving.

* KissOfDeath: If Colin falls into deep water Tigershark caressingly forces a transfurmation upon him. The alternative would be [[MurderByInaction to watch the guy drown]].
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: In the original game, Squid Dog was ThatOneBoss as his tentacles mercilessly pursued Colin around the narrow arena. The fight only became more manageable after StopHittingYourself makes them despawn one-by-one. In the ''Special Edition'' this difficulty has been adjusted so his tentacles reset their positions and you don't get cornered, though Tigershark has become [[BossDissonance far more dangerous]] in this updated version.
* SharkFinOfDoom: Tigershark sends three waves of attacks by summoning lines of increasing shark-like monsters to swoop the pool from both sides. They don't home in, but Colin has to dodge these roaming beasts or get 'transfured' if they collide. When Tigershark is pursuing you, he's essentially playing a game of underwater {{VideoGame/Snake}} with you. As he moves in faster bursts of speed than you, you got to weave across the flooded area to stay one-step ahead. Try to cross paths to avoid getting cornered, and it's game over. Eventually he'll change strategies [[ThreateningShark and all will chase after Colin]].

* SharkTunnel: If Colin returns to the tank rooms they'll see all the marine latex life on display playing with each other with Squid Dog [[ClingyAquaticLife still pulling Tigershark]] along for the ride.
* SkippableBoss: In the original game you can slip past Tigershark's [[{{Mook}} lackeys]] guarding the exits easily, providing you time it right. Subverted in the Special Edition where it's ''almost impossible'' to pull this trick off, without using BulletTime.

* StationaryBoss: Squid Dog's main body, holding Tigershark in his clutches, idles in the [[WaterfrontBossBattle middle of the room]]. It's his [[CognizantLimbs free-moving tentacles]] that try to ensnare Colin.
* TerrestrialSeaLife: Averted. Puro notices that despite having limbs, these marine latex beasts all have an aversion for going on land. They won't chase after Colin beyond their natural habitat, so [[GhostButler their mooks]] prevent him from escaping.

* ThreateningShark: Tigershark is ''far more formidable'' in the Special Edition remake, than in the original game. Even though Colin can cheese the first-wave of his attacks by staying in the bottom-right corner of the room, the monster begins a round of StealthHiBye appearing [[RightInFrontOfMe right in front of where you're going]]. To outlast this you must not change the direction you're wading towards, until you get the second visual splash cue. Time it poorly, and Tigershark [[YouAreAlreadyDead will catch you instantly]].
* VillainousCrush: You will notice in the [[UpdatedReRelease Special Edition]] that Tigershark is stalking Colin as soon as he enters the flooded generator area. The enamoured Squid Dog is also [[ClingyAquaticLife very attached]] to Tigershark and refuses to let him go.
* WasOnceAMan: Tigershark was once employed by the scientists to be the aquatic latex beast's caretaker and would feed them regularly, until one day he got too close and a shark-like creature assimilated him.
