* AbhorrentAdmirer: They always get rejected by their crushes due to their stupidity, ugliness, and crude behavior.

* UncleanlinessIsNextToUngodliness: They are {{Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist}}s who care nothing about their personal hygiene. In "Tainted Meat", Beavis scratches his nads like crazy at Burger World and accesses the grill ''without washing his hands first'', causing a disease outbreak and leaving 15 hospitalized.

* GeniusDitz: They might be intelligent, but they're still versions of Beavis and Butt-Head at the end of the day, with the sheer lack of common sense that comes with it.

* MinorLivingAlone: They definitely don't live with their parents; no other adult authority figure (outside of the Highland High staff) is ever seen or mentioned. The show never explains how this happened; no one at their school seems aware of it. Though it's hinted they live with their mothers (and it's likely they handle the house bills), they're just never around. From their talk about them and ''[[WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtheadDoAmerica Do America]]'', it's heavily hinted that they're actually prostitutes or call girls. In ''[[WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHeadDoTheUniverse Do the Universe]]'', it's confirmed that the house belongs to Beavis' mother.

* AmbiguouslyBi: Despite the both of them being desperate to "score" with "chicks" and seemingly being grossed out by the idea of seeing a guy naked, their idolizing to the point of heavily implied crushes on Todd tell a different story. Not to mention the fact that Beavis pondered wherever or not it was normal to develop erections over boys on a bus. When the two are hung upside down from a marquee, Butt-Head makes comments about Beavis' rear end and changes the subject when Beavis accuses him of having an interest in it.

* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: They tend to mistreat animals for their own amusement. For starters, they put poodles through washing machines, attempt to kill baby birds, and beat frogs with baseball bats.

* EntitledBastard: They always expect others to bend over backwards for them, no matter how ridiculous, unsavory, or vague their requests are. They are promptly disappointed when they don't.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: They are generally too stupid and amoral to recognize good deeds, feeling that something might be wrong. They mistake empathetic hugs for "scoring" and dismiss any genuine act of kindness as either mediocre or confusing.

* LackOfEmpathy: They generally couldn't care less when others are suffering. In "Breakdown", they show no remorse for immobilizing [=McVicker=] with their antics and even ''cheer'' at the idea of [=McVicker=] [[ElectroconvulsiveTherapyIsTorture going through electroshock therapy]]. Fittingly, they don't even know what "empathy" means, with Butt-Head thinking it might have something to do with "[[UnusualEuphemism ball-handling]]".

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: While he and Beavis have their moments of spats, they are relatively best buddies through and through. When he's on the verge of death, [[IRegretNothing he remarks that a life spent doing nothing but bumming around with Beavis was "cool".]]

* {{Expy}}: To Uatu, the Watcher. They even introduce the episode "Home Aide", much like the Watcher from What If...

* EntitledBastard: They always expect others to bend over backwards to give them whatever they want, no matter how ridiculous, unsavory, or vague their requests are. They are promptly disappointed when they don't.

* UnintentionallyKarmic: Their stupidity has often gotten other people punished or humiliated. Nevertheless, their victims sometimes end up deserving it due to being either as unpleasant as they are or too negligent to prevent the fiasco from happening themselves. Three episodes that come to mind are "Steamroller", "Prank Call", and "Drones".

* SpringtimeForHitler: In "A Very Special Episode", they actually manage to recover a crippled baby bird... while [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals they were trying to do the complete opposite]] because [[ComedicSociopathy watching it die might be interesting]]. They only decided to feed it because they stupidly thought that the bird [[InsaneTrollLogic would automatically die only after it had eaten]].

* TheSociopath: He was actually diagnosed as such by the school psychiatrist, as revealed in their video commentary for Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U", and she wasn't wrong, as he is consistently the most amoral and least caring of the duo.

* LikesOlderWomen: Most of the females they hit on are in their 20s or 30s -- sometimes older. Of course, they're too stupid to realize they're already far out of their league.

** In the ChristmasEpisode, they just walk off while refusing Charlie's suggestion for Butt-head to kill himself and afterwards, Charlie slips and falls into the river while trying to protest Butt-head's decision.

In "PTA", all they had to do was be present and annoying enough while physically doing nothing to the point [=McVicker=] loses it and gets into a fight with one of the parents while getting Buzzcut in legal trouble simply by casually mentioning how he was abusive to them. They also do the same with Mr. Manners/Candy by just standing there while the salesman physically threatens them. Then they get to happily sit back and watch while Van Driessen or Buzzcut makes the save for them and starts fighting or pummeling the motivational speaker. In the ChristmasEpisode, they just walk off while refusing Charlie's suggestion for Butt-head to kill himself and afterwards, Charlie slips and falls into the river while trying to protest Butt-head's decision.

But even then, the girls around their age they ''do'' take a liking to instantaneously reject them due to their stupidity and unpleasant behavior.

* VillainousGlutton: They are selfish, amoral delinquents who tend to binge on junk food (especially nachos). They even once became morbidly obese by eating nothing but fast food for 30 days straight in a misguided attempt to become rich and famous.

* ApatheticClerk: Depending on who is activating the register at Burger World. They prefer goofing around and fighting over actually taking the customers' orders. Oftentimes, they stall the customers so long that they end up leaving.
