* DeaderThanDead: He doesn't reincarnate like the rest of the characters do, as he seems to lack an earthly soul and without Mantra he quite literally ''cannot exist.''

* KilledOffForReal: Asura killing him inside his own event horizon seems to have destroyed him mind, body and soul. Notably, he does ''not'' reincarnate.

* ActionCommands: In a major surprise, [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall the computer deigns to show us]] [[EvilCounterpart Chakravartin's own]] which show up at the end of the final fight with him, [[VillainousValor showing his power gradually weakening as the game pits Asura and your action commands against Chakravartin's]]. If the player succeeds in their [=QTEs=], Chakravartin will eventually start messing up his inputs.

* BigGood: At first glance, being the one who motivates and guides Asura out of Naraka and giving him cryptic advice, Golden Spider would certainly seem to be this. However, around the point he starts ''praising'' the power and fury of Asura's Berserker and Wrath forms is when one might get the feeling he's hiding an agenda of his own. [[spoiler: If you download Part IV, he's revealed as Chakravartin, the GreaterScopeVillain of story]].

* SneakySpider: Golden Spider plays this trope straight due to his manipulative and ambiguous goals while constantly egging on Asura to resurrect himself after each death. [[spoiler: Becomes clear when he's revealed as Chakravartin and his plan was to get Asura to save Mithra so he can use her as a vessel to manifest his true form.]]

The ruler of Naraka. After Asura is killed, he guides his soul back to the real world. [[spoiler: Later, he revealed to be Chakravartin, the omnipotent god that controls the world of Gaea attempting to find an heir to take his place as the next god of Gaea through the trials that he puts the world through. No one on Gaea is aware of his existence.]]

** Once he assumes his Creator-form in the Event Horizon, the above situation repeats: Asura, now in his Destructor-form (though with 2 oversized arms remaining, similar to Mantra Asura), powers up and does a spinning punch with one of his oversized arms. Chakravartin, once again, stops him with just a finger. while also breaking his remaining oversized arms and causing great damage to him. Asura's eventual burst had him punching Chakravartin's gut that the Creator, once again, just takes with no reaction or attempt at defending himself against at all... [[SubvertedTrope at this point, however, Asura's wrath grows so explosively that he sells the punch anyway.]]

* {{Determinator}}: Much like Deus before him, Chakravartin does not give up, and takes quite a few stages to whittle down. As pointed out elsewhere on this page, you have to fill up. and use your Instant-Win Button ''ten'' times on him to defeat him. And even then, he goes down fighting as you slowly overpower him.

** Said heart is supposed to be granting him all his awesome superpowers. He still manages to match Asura punch for punch (who at that point has the power of all ''eight'' deities).

** In Episode 15.5, he tells Yasha that if he truly believes he can stop the Gohma and save the world without sacrificing anymore human souls and that he (Deus) is wrong, then Yasha should prove it by besting him in combat and showing his newfound strength firsthand. Despite Yasha's rekindled idealism and awakened power, his best attack that managed to defeat Wrath Asura fails to phase Deus, proving Deus' point that even if he's "wrong", Yasha's effective plan to fight and kill Vlitra head-on is even more doomed to fail in the long run at his current level of strength.

The weakest of the Gohma, Crushers look like great apes. They tend to hunt humans together in packs, and are led by a primary Howler, who is especially dangerous.

* KillerGorilla: They're ape-like Gohma which form pack to terrorize humans. Each pack is lead by a primary Howler, which resembles a silverback.

Large air-based Gohma that resemble gigantic lion fish. They often appear accompanied by groups of smaller Gohma. They are very dangerous shooting down flying aircraft with bolts of magma, and in their fins are massive stingers that can be shot out.

* NoNameGiven: Even in the in-game profiles and the credits she's known simply as "The Girl". It wasn't until [[AllThereInTheManual supplemental]] [[http://nd06.jxs.cz/095/651/532c3ec51e_101030947_o2.jpg materials]] came out that she was finally given an actual name (Ahria)… [[http://nd06.jxs.cz/061/960/916fbcb057_101030958_o2.jpg which was one of the words in her dialogue when she responded to Asura in their first meeting]].

* StealthPun: It's {{Leitmotif}} is called "Star's Outcry", stars have been considered as planets, so the title can be read as "[[GaiasVengeance Planet's Outcry]]".

* PrimalStance: His Wrath form does this sometimes. This shows that he has completely lost it.

* {{Bishonen}}: One of the better looking male deities, though not quite to an extreme level as Sergei, however.

* InformedDeformity: Downplayed; the first time Asura knocks Yasha's mask off, he comments that Yasha is "ugly as ever" beneath it. As his entry under {{Bishonen}} should make clear, he is not. Since no one else in the game remarks upon his appearance, it's difficult to know how to take this comment; Asura might just be talking nonsense in his anger, or he might have meant it metaphorically. To the average player, Yasha's probably average-looking at worst.

* {{Bishonen}}: Clearly designed with this trope in mind, with his long hair, wide eyes with long lashes, and softer features overall than the likes of Asura, Augus, and Deus. That said, the dementedness of his expressions and poses-- including back-bends further than should be physically possible-- tends to diminish the effect of his general attractiveness.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Olga states that, when Deus was the leader of the Guardian Generals, he was given the most powerful Mantra due to his position, and he sure lives up to that. This guy kills Asura in the prologue, in the backstory was the only person until Asura to force [[BloodKnight Augus]] to draw his sword and go all-out, is able to fight Asura and Yasha at the same time and nearly beats them, and he flat out [[NoSell no sold]] everything Yasha threw at him when he tried fighting him on his own.

** The NumberTwo: Olga, Deus' second-in-command and commander of the Shinkoku Orbital Fleet. She is a DarkChick who [[UndyingLoyalty absolute loyalty]] towards Deus and follows his orders without question,[[spoiler: epecially when she tried to kill Mithra in order to [[AvengingTheVillain revenge Deus]].]] Olga's Mantra Affinity is Lust.
** The [[TheDragon Dragon]]: Sergei, Deus's right-hand man and Collector of Souls. He is [[TheSociopath an extremely effeminate demigod with a penchant for referring to things with a sense of beauty or hideousness in destruction]] [[spoiler: and responsible for Durga's death, Asura's wife, during the coup d'etat.]] Sergei's Mantra Affinity is Vanity.
** The [[TheBrute Brute]]: Wyzen, Collector of Souls and Demigod Powerhouse. He is vey cocky, arrogant and brute as well as lack a degree of common sense and intelligence when he emphasizes his greatness and discriminates humans as greatly inferior beings to himself and his kind. Wyzen's Mantra Affinity is Violence.
** The [[BloodKnight Blood Knight]]: Augus, Deus' old rival and Asura's mentor. Unlike most of the Seven Deities, Augus is very honorable, ruthless and incredibly bloodthirsty on the battlefield with his enjoyment in the pleasures of life such as fighting, eating, drinking, and [[AmazonChaser sleeping with beautiful women.]] Augus's Mantra Affinity is Greed.
** The [[TheStrategist Strategist]]: Karlow, the tactician and battle strategist for the Demigod Forces. He is very cunning and sly tactician only has others carry out what he has planned and rarely makes an effort to do anything himself. Karlow's Mantra Affinity is Sloth.
** The [[TheRival Rival]]: Yasha, Deus' personal pupil and Asura's brother-in-law and rival. He is only TokenGoodTeammate who's motivation remains consistent (willing to do anything to save Gaea from the Gohma no matter the sacrifice) and grieves for his own sacrifices (the death of his sister, the enslavement of his niece and the harvested souls of trillions of humans) while the power eventually corrupts the other six. His golden mask he wear is to hide his sorrow and guilt for his actions. [[spoiler: Later he pulled HeelFaceTurn after realizes that the cause he had dedicated himself to can be achieved in other ways and joins Asura in his fight to free Mithra and defeat Deus]]. Yasha's Matra Affinity is Melancholy.

** The NumberTwo: Olga, Deus' second-in-command and commander of the Shinkoku Orbital Fleet. ** Her rant about loss comes across as incredibly two-faced in the end when it was she, the [[BadBoss jerk]] who didn't even want her, and a host of co-conspirators, who usurped a celestial armada and framed Asura for the death of its emperor, took advantage of and wholesale slaughtered humanity to gather Mantra, and then wasted ''thousands of years worth of Mantra trying to kill Asura with Brahmastra'', rendering Deus' plan all but [[AllForNothing doomed to fail]]. It makes it hard not to feel [[KickTheSonofABitch abject joy]] at her [[UndignifiedDeath undignified]] if [[KarmicDeath albeit all too deserved end]] at the hands of a [[GodIsEvil despicable]] Demiurge.
