lorem ipsum sit dolor amet

to:

lorem ipsum sit dolor ametThe titular "Ashface" and the adoptive father of Anna. One of the most infamous assassins alive, Rainard joined the Master's side in their war, and has lived in his village after their victory. Very few people have seen his true face behind the ash-white mask he always wears, making his species and true appearance a mystery for most...

*

to:

* CoolMask: An almost bone white mask that covers almost his entire face, face for his [[RedEyesTakeWarning red eyes]], it inspired his nickname of "Ashface".
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Though the "Evil" part is debatable. From the point of the view of the Empire, Rainard is responsible for the deaths of many nobles and fought against them in the war between the Empire and the Master's forces. Regardless, Rainard dearly cares about Anna, and would kill ''anyone'' who threatens her.
* [[spoiler:OurElvesAreDifferent]]: As revealed by a flashback, Rainard's true species is [[spoiler:a dark elf, who was later turned into a vampire against his will]].
* [[spoiler:OurVampiresAreDifferent]]: [[spoiler:Was turned into a vampire by the assassin that killed Anna's lover (and his former lover), though Rainard managed to take revenge for her death in the process]].
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Is one of the deadliest combatants alive. [[spoiler:The eyes are also a sign of his vampirism,]]

lorem ipsum sit dolor amet

to:

lorem ipsum sit dolor ametThe hapless imperial prince who, after a failed assassination attempt on his life, gets trapped in the village kicking off the plot. Currently a pawn in the imperial succession crisis, though slowly working towards becoming a player in the game as well.

* test

to:

* testCostumeTestMontage: Joakim has [[http://ashfacesdaughter.thecomicseries.com/comics/64/ one of these]] when Anna tries to find him some clothes more suitable to everyday wear.
* FantasticRacism: The first time Joakim enters the village, he freaks out and runs away from some people just because they're from "monstrous" races, even if they were doing perfectly ordinary things such as baking bread or building tables. He quickly gets better though.
* NonActionGuy: Joakim spells it out pretty clearly that he's pretty pathetic when it comes to fighting
* WouldHitAGirl: When Joakim refuses to attack Anna during training, she's angry and asks him if it's some ridiculous chivalry thing. It turns out that he has no problem with trying to hit her, rather he refused because he was terrified that as soon as he did, she would hurt him pretty badly once he failed to connect.

lorem ipsum sit dolor amet

to:

lorem ipsum sit dolor ametThe BigGood of the comic, although to what extent depends on which side of the conflict you're on. For the Empire, he's a scary boogieman who led a revolt against them and won, forcing the Empire to concede to his terms. For those on his side though, he's a great leader who took up the fight for them.

*

to:

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The Master is the chief of the village and has been described as the sort of magical powerhouse only seen once an era.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The Master is a skeletal lich in pointy armor with a spiky crown. He's also the biggest goofball in the comic, and just about everyone in the village sees him as a massive dork.
* {{Necromancer}}: Known by many as the greatest necromancer of the era. Currently mentoring Anna in her necromancy studies.
* NamesToRunAwayfromReallyFast: An extremely terrifying figure from the Empire's perspective.
* OurLichesAreDifferent: The Master, Anna's teacher in necromancy, is a thousand-year old lich. Though he doesn't ''quite'' live up to the typical grim and stoic image that liches might usually have.

Expanded on Anna's entry.

Added DiffLines:

* BadPowersGoodPeople: While probably not as outright "good" as the Master (she does have her remorseless moments) she's still likely on the Good side of the typical alignment chart, albeit slightly closer to Neutral.
* CreepyChild: As pointed out by another master mage in the village, as her magical knowledge is decades beyond what her actual age (twelve) would suggest.
* DarkSecret: Puts on a hard front, but secretly still likes to play with dolls. Not that she will ever let anyone find out though.
* GlowingEyes: Whenever she really starts to tap into her power.
* LittleMissSnarker: And how. Joakim even calls her out on this at one point.
* LostOrphanedRoyalty: [[spoiler:Not quite royalty, but close enough, as she is the [[RoyalBlood last heir]] to Ducal House Lindgren, and her throne is just waiting there for her to reclaim. After her parents death, her adoptive father, the eponymous Ashface, took her away to keep her safe, ostensibly at the request of her mother. But as this was her telling the story of the events, it's unknown if that was really the case or if it was her slightly nudging the truth to what suited her.]]
* {{Necromancer}}: And a prodigy at that. Having your excellent natural talent be nurtured by the greatest necromancer of the age does wonders for one's magical development.
* NonHumanUndead: Realized that while she can summon ghosts, no one ever said that the ghosts have to be people-shaped. Instead created specters in the shape of giant tentacles, and she uses these to great effect in her master-level examination.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Has been seen using her magical abilities to take out a giant skull-spider creature.
* WiseBeyondHerYears: She's had to grow up pretty fast, and she likes to think of herself as being a lot more mature than she actually is. And while she definitely does still have her moments of acting like the child that she is, she tends to carry herself as if she's a lot older than she actually is. Makes sense, as with her being the Master's apprentice, it's pretty much an unspoken understanding among everyone that she's going to take over for him in managing the village when he eventually winds up leaving in a few decades.

This is a list of characters in the webcomic ''Webcomic/AshfacesDaughter''.

!Main characters
[[folder:Anna Dreschner]]
!!Anna Dreschner

The main character of the story, around whom all of the events happen. She is a twelve-year-old magical prodigy, apprenticed under the greatest necromancer of the age. She can be a bit abrasive, as well as having a bit of a sadistic streak to her, but has no real desire to do much of anything other than to live her life in her village and devoting herself to her own magical research.

* ActionGirl: Anna often likes to say that she can take care of any threat that comes her way. She's made good on that boast while fighting a giant bear. [[spoiler:Before getting knocked down a steep slope by an errant swipe of the bear's paw that is.]]
