* VillainSong: "The Bog Lady".

to:

* VillainSong: Technically has two, to make up for her rather sudden appearance in the final episode.
** "Ruff 'n' Stucky," which is a VillainSucksSong sung by the previously villainous duo, is a jazzy piano piece backed by hillbilly banjo and synth beats. It's not only an explaination of her motivation and abilities, but displays how much bigger of a threat she is in comparison to the two.
*
"The Bog Lady".Lady," which she sings herself, is a simple banjo song that almost sounds cheerful and inviting until notes begin playing backwards and synth instruments and effects are mixed in to make it sound more menacing. It highlights the contrast between how inviting and giving she wants to portray herself as, vs. How selfish and controlling her one-sided relationship with Arlo actually is.

* MakingASplash: In addition to her plant manipulation, she can summon walls of water and absorb water as well.
* ManipulativeBastard: Part of her EvilPlan was manipulating Ruff and Stucky into writing a ransom note to lure Arlo to the swamp before he follows her voice back to the Heart.
* MoreThanMindControl: Implied to be this during Arlo's swamp years. Having secretly protected Arlo all his life, she lures Arlo back to the swamp by tricking him into thinking Ruff and Stucky demand ransom while holding Edmée hostage as bait, then forces Arlo to apologize until she straight-up brainwashes him into doing such. Arlo regrets himself for leaving the swamp before finally apologizing and feels sorry for losing his childhood home resulting in the Bog Lady's death in the end.

* EyeContactAsProof: Asks Ansel to look him in the eyes during "Something's Missing" so he can tell him the truth he's his dad.

* FatalFlaw: As demonstrated in the series, impulsiveness. More than a few times, Arlo will make swift decisions without getting the big picture first. It's at it's worst in "Going It Arlone", with him determined to try and fix Old Bessie despite everyone and everything telling him it's a bad idea.

* FirstTimeInTheSun: When he left the swamp after fifteen long years, he enjoys his new outer world surroundings and spends half the day exploring them.

* FurryReminder: He can swim really fast, is a BigEater, and can run on all fours, like a real alligator. Also, he sheds frequently, albeit his entire skin rather than just scale by scale. He also hisses when mad, and can chomp into things.
* GeneHunting: Arlo's main mission is to find his long-lost father.

* ForWantOfANail: Arlo leaving the swamp in the PilotMovie to search for his father in New York is what infuriates the Bog Lady at losing the one thing she protected and didn't want to leave in the first place; thus she casts a spell on the swamp turning it all gloomy-like, kidnaps Edmée for bait, and begins devising an EvilPlan to lure Arlo back to her and get him to apologize for leaving.

Added DiffLines:

* CoolBigSis: By the time she officially bonded with Arlo, she very starts to fill this role for Arlo. So much that by ''I Heart Arlo'', it's made apparent that Bertie plays the most active role in taking care of Arlo to the point where they live together in the same house.

Does Not Like Shoes has been renamed and redefined to focus on characters that explicitly or implicitly state a preference for going barefoot. Removing misuse

* DoesNotLikeShoes: The only other member of Arlo's crew who is constantly barefoot, hence being a sea creature.

Teens Are Short was renamed to Short Teens Tall Adults. This is not a character trope, so if many teen characters in series are shorter than adults, this should be on the main work page.

* TeensAreShort: Despite being fifteen, he looks no older than ten or twelve in terms of height. Then again, Alia is around the same age and height, so perhaps most teens here are short.

* TeensAreShort: Roughly around Arlo's height, if not shorter.
