Clarice can be a fairly tricky character to master. Her attacks boast impressive speed, and she posesses the ability to drain both health and Arcana Gauge from her opponents. However, she has fairly frail defenses, especially when paired with her default Arcana Sorwat requiring her to sacrifice health to use its arcana specials. This frailty can work to her advantage, though, as Sorwat's Extend Force will power Clarice up as her health gets lower.

As a playable character, Angelia's specials are tend to be defensive in nature, including charge inputs, counter attacks, and teleports. These can serve to keep Angelia safe while charging up dropkicks to punish opponents. Her sister Mildred acts as her default Arcana, and will join the battle directly when Extend Force is activated, allowing the sisters to combine their attacks and put pressure on opponents.

While Yodogawa's large frame makes Catherine an easy target to hit, it can also be deciptively agile, and is able to hover in the air while launching strikes from above. Catherine can also activate a number of special weapons on Yodogawa, giving her an ability to attack at all ranges, though close range tends to be where she shines best due to the nature of many of her specials and Median's ability to draw Catherine's opponents in with magnetism. Median can also create magnetic fields that will draw in magnetic objects, which can provide a way to interrupt an opponent's assault.

Elsa fights using a variety of weapons. She can throw stakes and vials of holy water, which will consecrate the area where they land. She can then use her tome to set these areas off, creating an attack at their locations. Many of other attacks provide good pressure, allowing her to get her opponent in range of consecrated areas or simply go on the offensive. Her default Arcana, Koshmar, is limited in terms of range when compared to other arcana, but can provide punishing counterattacks. Koshmar also makes E button neutrals unblockable when charged in exchange for removing their launching capabilities. Extend Force increases attack power and adds extra strikes to Koshmar's attacks in exchange for lower defense.

Petra dual wields handguns in battle, giving her impressive zoning capabilites as long as she has ammo. She is also a fairly agile character, able to weave together shots with close range attacks. Her default Arcana, Zilrael, provides a lot of defensive capabilities, being able to keep opponents at bay with long range attacks, and providing the ability to recover a portion of lost health from damage in Extend Force.

Dorothy posesses a unique card mechanic, in which her specials can summon playing cards onto the screen. When five cards are on the screen, they will create a hand, and gain special properties, based on the type of cards on the screen, such as pairs of cards, straights, or flushes. This can make Dorothy a tricky fighter who can strike at unexpected times with proper set-play. Dorothy's default Arcana, Heliogabalus, gives her the ability to copy the moves of opponents. In Extend Force, she will become harder to see, and using an Arcana Break will create mirror copies of herself, allowing her attacks to strike multiple times.

A girl with the power to bring life to her drawings, creating in the process her fighting twin Kazu.

Eko and Kazu's specialty is ConfusionFu. Their neutrals can hit at odd angles, deal multiple hits, or stall their descent from midair. Adding to the confusion is an element of randomness. Eko can create randomized drawings with different effects, and her default Arcana, Saligrama, can randomly give the duo special buffs such as a LastChanceHitPoint, reduced damage, or boosting the priority of their attacks when countering. The frequency of these buffs can be increased via special commands.

A MightyGlacier character, Fiona's attacks are very slow, and often require good timing, but deal massive amounts of damage. Her default Arcana, Oreichalkos, can be leveled up to increase the power of its attacks, and possesses a damage-tanking shield special, but cannot gain Arcana Gauge through attacks, instead requiring a specific input to charge the gauge.

Zenia is a close-range fighter who deals hard hits. Certain attacks involving pilebunker gauntlet, Edinorog, can be charged up, and will gain power if the button is released when the charge hits a certain sweet spot. Her default arcana, Almacia, allows her to freeze her opponents, and changers her forward step into a dash that can be held indefinitely.

A highly mobile character, Lilica specializes in speed. She's capable of wall jumping, posseses a good amount of midair attacks, and can follow up many of her specials with unique follow up attacks. Her mobility options are only boosted by her default arcana Tempestas, which grants Lilica a triple jump, a second air dash, and a quick drop back to the ground. That said, she has a weak defensive game, making it important to stay on the move and avoid getting hit.

As a character, Heart is a fairly balanced character. Her character based specials are focus on close range rushdown strikes, while her default Arcana, Partinias, gives her decent projectile options and the ability to respond well to projectile attacks from opponents.
