* WomenAreWiser: While Izuku is a bright kid, Jirou spends much of the Heroes vs. Villains exercise scolding him to keep him on task, calling him out for his fixation on beating Bakugou, and coming up with efficient solutions when things go south.

* ForWantOfANail: Due to Izuku's hospitalization from the spider bite, neither he nor Bakugou are attacked by the Sludge Villain. Because of this, Bakugou never gets his first serving of HumblePie and simply backpedals into old habits when his ego is bruised by Izuku's new spider powers and fame.

* ForWantOfANail: Since Izuku was never caught by the Sludge Villain, he never met All Might. Then the time Izuku spent in the hospital gave Nighteye enough time to pressure All Might into making Mirio his successor.

* BoobsOfSteel: Has the largest bust in 1-A and isn't afraid to get down and dirty in close combat.

* BoobsOfSteel: Class 1-A's most athletic female student, and has the second-largest bust size.

* BeautyIsNEverTarnished: Subverted. During USJ, she gets a bloodied nose while fighting off a Villain who had sneaked behind her.

* {{Bishonen}}: Parodied. He has glossy blonde hair, thin eyebrows, glinting eyes, prominent eyelashes, and a slender build.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Bakugou mainly kept people behind him through fear and awe: no one wanted to get on his bad side out of fear of getting their asses kicked and how much better he was than them at everything. He loses most of his social clout after getting humiliated by Izuku and even his own lackies admit that they can't wait to be rid of him once they graduate.

* AscendedExtra: She's mostly a background character in the original manga, but here she's shaping up to be one of Izuku's best friends.

* MartialArtsStaff: She pulls out a metal staff to club Izuku with during their fight, managing to get a number of good hits in and using it as a vaulting pole to hit him with a flying kick.

* DifficultButAwesome: His Quirk, Permeation, is incredibly difficult to use, as Mirio can't see, hear, or breathe while he's using it and one mishap could cut him in half. But his tireless efforts and practice have made him a nigh-untouchable LightningBruiser in a fight. One For All adds another layer of complexity to this, as its volatile power is difficult to handle properly, but once fully mastered he'll be even stronger and faster than All Might on top of being nearly invincible.
