On the last episode of ''Dynamite'' in March 2023, Cobb returned to AEW to challenge Wrestling/KennyOmega for his IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

A member of the "Just 5 Guys" faction of New Japan Pro Wrestling, Douki fought "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry on ''Rampage'' before ''Forbidden Door 2023'' as the latter's warm-up match before facing SANADA for his IWGP Heavweight Championship.

The current IWGP Heavyweight Champion of New Japan Pro Wrestling and another member of Just 5 Guys, SANADA headed into ''Forbidden Door 2023'' by issuing an open challenge for the title, to which "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry accepted.

On the November 2, 2022 episode of ''Dynamite'', Shibata once again saved Cassidy from an attack by PAC, and signed for a match against Cassidy for the AEW International Championship on the November 4 edition of ''Rampage'', which he lost in a valiant attempt. Shibata currently holds the ROH Pure Championship after defeating Wheeler Yuta at the ''Supercard of Honor 2023'' and fought against Orange Cassidy, Zack Sabre Jr. and Daniel Garcia for the AEW International Championship at ''Forbidden Door 2023''.

Previously known as "Tully Blanchard Enterprises" from Ring of Honor, Prince Nana bought out the faction out from Tully himself at ''Death Before Dishonor 2022'', which brought him Brian Cage alongside Kaun and Toa Liona - "The Gates of Agony". Rebranded as The Embassy, the group made their AEW debut during late-September. In April 2023, they aligned with Swerve Strickland and his "Mogul Affiliates" to become the "Mogul Embassy".
