She was inspired by their pilots' personalities, so she named 217 "Naviduz" from "navigator" because of its Caelestite's leader-like personality, and 982's was an irritable guy, hence "Solituz" from "solitude".]]

When he hears about the Navigator, he explains that he's a WeirdnessMagnet so Nina's better off kept away from him... though anyone can see he wouldn't have approved of the Navigator regardless.
* DotingParent: He's very much this towards his daughter, so much that he bought out all of her clothes in stores repeatedly. When Nina found out, she got mad at him and ran away to Eraveil to prove she can run a business without her father's help, although the harsh words have wounded him deeply enough that he didn't come out of his room or run family-related matters ever since.

* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: He harbored distrust of Lumopolis and Illumina that [[spoiler:he didn't tell anyone, not even his friend Jeno, about his plan to recharge the Windstone with an alternative source; he feared Lumopolis would not take him and the Windstone seriously, Illumina might seize the Windstone for themselves, and Jeno would prioritize his ship and its inhabitants.]] This leads to the main crux of both parts of ''Summer's Breeze'' happening:

* OnlyICanMakeItGo: In Episode 9 when Rediesel Wrench shows up in Eraveil, Bopper is revealed to be the only one capable of piloting Lepidoz, even though she's an Aurorian and thus has no psychic powers to speak of. Not even the mechanic herself has any idea why, but when they first found it, [[MachineEmpathy she thought it "probably felt particularly lonely and lost" and never stopped talking to the Colossus]] despite this.
* WrenchWench: Is one of R.W.'s many engineers. What she's truly notable for is being the sole pilot of Lepidoz.
