* Fans like to point out that the parents don't seem to be trying to do anything to discipline Luan on April Fools and just let her run [[KarmaHoudini rampant with no comeuppance]]. Here, she claims that they do ground her afterwards, and her siblings shun her for weeks. [[WorthIt She just considers the punishments a reasonable trade-off to keep pranking them.]]

* Chapter 39 shows why Ronnie-Anne bullied Lincoln was because Lori did the same thing towards Bobby when they were younger, and the reason why she punched Lincoln after kissing her was because she was caught off-guard.

* Lori laughing at Lincoln in "[[Recap/TheLoudHouseS1E3DrivingMissHazyNoGutsNoGlori "No Guts, No Glori]]" turned out to be because she knew what would happen, because the exact same thing happened to her when she tried babysitting them before she decided to bust out the drill sergeant routine. She's actually grateful he did it, since she knows him knowing why she does what she does will help him when he's the eldest sibling in charge after his big sisters all move out.

* Lincoln's attempt to "reclaim his masculinity" in "Roughin' It". It wasn't just a few observations about being one of the girls that caused him to head out into the woods. After taking the blame for blocking the toilet, his sisters made good on their promise to make fun of him constantly. Mocking his Ace Savvy costume and his lack of muscles to fill out the costume for a week, until they noticed their comments were seriously starting to depress him. Despite apologizing for it, thinking he'd be able to bare their teasing in good humor, but it was too late, Lincoln's ego and masculinity were shot, which made him feel desperate enough to reclaim it that he went to the woods with Clyde. In the end, Lincoln's relationship with his sisters are strained, and his beating from them was the final straw. His fear of his sisters are soon being replaced by distrust and resentment.

The original Cerebus Retcon / Syngenesophobia was cut because none of these examples are retcons within the fanfic itself; it’s painting examples from the original show in a darker light. I believe this trope Cerebus Call Back would suit these examples much better because that trope is about a previous element in a work that is called back to in a very serious situation.

* We learn that Leni, if she bothers to take her pills, is actually fully aware of how dumb she acts without them, and hates herself for it.
* Fans like to point out that the parents don't seem to be trying to do anything to discipline Luan on April Fools and just let her run [[KarmaHoudini rampant with no comeuppance]]. Here she reveals that they do ground her afterwards, and her siblings shun her for weeks afterwards. [[WorthIt She just considers the punishments a reasonable trade-off to keep pranking them]].
* Luan's extreme pranking during April Fools stems from her repressed desire to get back at bullies who used to harass her when she was in elementary school. [[MisplacedRetribution Since they are out of her reach, she unconsciously uses her family as a substitute]].
** Also, remember the gag that she was so much out of control that her family had to lock her in a cage to try to stop her? She reveals to Dr. Lopez that it brought back the memory of the time in elementary school when her bullies [[StuffedIntoALocker shoved her in a locker]] and she spent several hours crying for help before being found by a teacher. While locked in the cage, she cried a bit during the night due to the memory.
* The girls thought that all the chocolate Lincoln had for his School project in "Lincoln Loud: Girl Guru" was a gift from him to them. When they find out the truth, they're mortified.
* Lynn was not happy with Ronnie's LovingBully tactics (which she heard about from Bobby, who apparently got the same treatment from Lori when she got a crush on him) and apparently when Ronnie punched Lincoln due to panicking over the kiss, she was legitimately terrified for her life.
* For Lola, it is explained that her pageantry turned her into the manipulative brat she is in the show, since pretty much all contestants in those pageants are like that and the only way to succeed in the business is to become one as well. She also let her victories, as well as the cash and the prizes she earned, go to her head, explaining her SpoiledBrat tendencies. And she knows how her reputation prevents her from having friends or getting close to her siblings.
* Lucy's whole StealthHiBye shtick turns out to be because most everyone outright ignores her, sometimes to the point of neglect (like leaving her by herself when the family goes on a trip and not noticing until they were 30 miles away from home).
* Lincoln kept trying to solve the conflict during the Sister Fight Protocol, despite being told to stay out, because he felt his sisters were trying to take away his only purpose in the family; helping his sisters.
In the end, Lincoln's relationship with his sisters are strained, and his beating from them was the final straw. His fear of his sisters are soon being replaced by distrust and resentment.
* The girls didn't know about Lincoln setting off every one of Luan's pranks for April fools. The reason they didn't try to help him or leave the room is because they didn't hear anything happening due to Lincoln's closet room being one of the few soundproof rooms in the house that doesn't have ridiculously thin walls.
* When Lola asks why Lincoln complained about not getting any peace and quiet then during the ear buds incident if his room is that soundproof, Lana [[DeadpanSnarker bluntly points out]] that it's probably because they all keep opening the door to bug him and letting the noise in.
* Lincoln was actually really angry at Leni for telling him at the last minute that she was covering for all the sisters he wasn't already covering for back during chore day. It took days and an apology cake for him to forgive her. He also didn't speak to Clyde for more than a week for bringing the entire class over to watch their show with no forewarning and embarrassing him in the process. He ended up convincing his mom to let him be home-schooled for nearly a fortnight until the incident was forgotten about.
* Chapter 39 shows why Ronnie-Anne bullied Lincoln was because Lori did the same thing towards Bobby when they were younger, and the reason why she punched Lincoln after kissing her was because she was caught off-guard.
