* AllForNothing: Amber fears that everything she sacrificed and endured under her mother was for naught after witnessing [[spoiler:her casually offering to take Marinette on as an apprentice]].

* RealityEnsues: Like in many other ''Miraculous'' fics that were popular at the time, "Syren" [[spoiler:sees Adrien get stripped of his Miraculous after he prioritizes himself over his duties as a hero. ''Unlike'' most of these fics, however, his flaws aren't heavily exaggerated; as a result, instead of stewing in NeverMyFault-fueled bitterness, he realizes exactly ''how'' badly he screwed up and chooses to make up for it by helping with akuma attacks no matter the risk to make up for it. This actually impresses Fu enough to give him back the ring, and his CharacterDevelopment ultimately sticks.]]

* NotHelpingYourCase: Chloe tries to assist the heroes in saving her father by confronting Lady Justice and calling her out, claiming that the situation isn't ''nearly'' as bad as she's making it out to be.

** Since Alya is made aware of Ladybug's SecretIdentity right away, she focuses instead upon investigating who ''Hawkmoth'' might be.
