** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k_g4Lnu4Mc "The Third Sequence"]] by Photek is probably the darkest, hardest-edged song in the series and a great pick for a race through [[ThatOneLevel Odessa Keys]] in Phantom Class.

** After lending his hand to the ''2097'' soundtrack, Photek returned in ''Pure'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_bR9uWn4Ic "C Note"]], a furious and fast-paced drum and bass piece and the perfect SpiritualSuccessor to "The Third Sequence". Its high octane beat is also befitting of newcomers Triakis and their heavily armored, high speed craft.

* Although they both lack any new music from [=CoLD SToRAGE=], ''Pulse'' and ''HD Fury'' feature some of the more eclectic soundtracks in the franchise.
** ''Pulse''[='=]s opening sequence features [[https://youtu.be/aSR43FLXnUw "X-Project (100% Pure Mix)"]] by DJ Fresh - an incredibly fast-paced drum and bass banger fitting of the evolution of AG racing and its new establishment as a worldwide racing championship following its return. This contribution was also DJ Fresh's ticket to EDM stardom as he continued to build up his momentum with other endeavors.
** One wouldn't initially associate Music/{{Kraftwerk}} with anti-gravity racing despite their futurist aesthetic, but the thumping electro house beats of [[https://youtu.be/z272A_91vSk "Aerodynamik (Alex Gopher & Etienne de Crecy Dynamik Mix)"]] make for a much better fit than you would initially think.
** [[https://youtu.be/F1wYNVXpdis "Chemical"]] by Move Ya! & Steve Lavers mixes a roaring bassline with grinding, screaming synths. There is no better soundtrack for an Eliminator event than this.
** Many people are more aware of the sheer mid-Noughties cheese of its vocal mix with Princess Superstar, but DJ Mason's [[https://youtu.be/EJLQuPsT0es "Exceeder"]] is a surprisingly good fit for ''Wipeout''.
** Electronic music savant Music/AphexTwin, after his contributions in ''Pure'', brings more of his glitchy goodness that brought him to worldwide fame with [[https://youtu.be/uEs68gVqlXo "Fenix Funk 5"]].
** [[https://youtu.be/vvdf5o5tn6E "Seven Stitches"]] was the first videogame contribution Music/{{Noisia}} made in their illustrious career. Of course, it is one of the most universally beloved songs in the soundtrack, and they brought back their scratchy, buzzing neurofunk sounds in ''HD Fury'' with their SignatureSong [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPTOVyLncVQ "Machine Gun"]].
** [[https://youtu.be/BM9MSvP43m4 "Smart Systems"]] by MIST - a duo composed by ST Files and the late Marcus Intalex - is probably the perfect soundtrack for Zone events with its ethereal melodies, almost like it's the soundtrack to a futuristic mirage. Unsurprisingly, it's also the leitmotif to Mirage, whose pursuit of balance and pride in their pilots academy makes them a jewel in the Arabian Desert.
** [[https://youtu.be/qCwHDb52_lw "Suspicious Thoughts"]] by dubstep legend Music/{{Skream}} isn't the leitmotif of EG-X for nothing: its minimalistic, atmospheric sound befits their lineage and the aura of mystique behind their origins.

%%* ''[=WipEout=] Pure'': "Crafty Youth" by Tayo Meets Acidrockers Uptown; "C Note" by Photek; "We Got Juice" by Friendly; "Black Jack 3" by Plump [=DJs=]; "Kinection" by Cosmos; "Flu-Shot" by [=LFO=] (NOT the three man pop-rock band!); "Hellion" by Ming + FS; "Ignition" by Paul Hartnoll of Music/{{Orbital}} fame; "Cross The Line" by Elite Force; "Goldrush" by Tiësto (yes, the ultra famous Dutch DJ!); "Naks Acid" by Music/AphexTwin.
%%* ''[=WipEout=] Pulse'': "Flat-Out" by Dopamine; "Steady Rush" by Booka Shade; "Frontline" by Ed Rush & Optical & Matrix; "Fenix Funk 5" by Aphex Twin; the epic house remix of "Aerodynamik" by +Music/{{Kraftwerk}}; "Seven Stitches" by Music/{{Noisia}}; "Suspicious Thoughts" by Music/{{Skream}}; "Chemical" by Move Ya & Steve Lavers; "City Lights (Martin Buttich Remix)" by Loco Dice; "Smart Systems" by MIST.
%%* ''[=WipEout=] HD Fury'': Some of the best songs from ''Pulse'' appeared in the game, but the ''Fury'' DLC added 6 new songs, of which the most awesome are: "Machine Gun" by Music/{{Noisia}}, "Acetone" by The Crystal Method; "Swagger" by Gingy; "Just Hiss" by Spector. So does the ''Fury'' menu theme.
%%* ''[=WipEout=] 2048'': "School of Funk" by Dirtyloud; "Breezeblock" by Camo & Krooked; "BTKRSH" by Rockwell; "Change of Direction" by Anile; "Regurgitate" by Music/{{Noisia}}; "Electronic Battle Weapon 3" by Music/TheChemicalBrothers; "Invaders Must Die (Liam H's Re Amped Remix)" by Music/TheProdigy; "Some Chords" by Music/{{Deadmau5}}. Actually, some of the songs in this soundtrack are remixes from previous games. Even the two menu songs, "Tour De France 2003 (Etape 2)" from ''Music/TourDeFranceSoundtracks'' by Music/{{Kraftwerk}} and "Beelzedub" by Music/{{Orbital}}, also count.
%%* ''[=WipEout=] Omega Collection'': "Antidote (Swedish House Mafia Dub)" by Music/SwedishHouseMafia VS Music/KnifeParty; "Shake It"[[note]]Used in Tigron's K-VSR trailer[[/note]] by Addiktion; "C-h-e-m-i-c-a-l" by Music/TheChemicalBrothers; "Dead Limit" by Music/{{Noisia}} & The Upbeats. ** Considering how the F9000 was DarkerAndEdgier compared to the previous leagues, a track like [[https://youtu.be/UJaQMl9EuKs "Switchback"]] by Elite Force and Nick Ryan would go to great lengths to demonstrate that with eerie drones and a foreboding synth as the track becomes progressively more aggressive.

Minor [[SensoryAbuse high volume warning]] towards the end, by the way.

''VideoGame/{{Wipeout}}'' is known for three things: the incredible sense of speed, the futuristic aesthetics, and its amazing soundtrack. One of those artists responsible for the soundtrack in the early days was [=CoLD=] [=SToRAGE=], who really left his mark on gaming culture through these games. Of course, since there are ''so many'' good tracks, not every song will make the cut on this page. So do check out each game's respective soundtrack on your own time if you can!

** Music/TheProdigy? In a ''[=WipEout=]'' game? Yep, you read that right -- you can start a fire on the track with the instrumental version of - what else? - [[https://youtu.be/Y-Lk3DNV4pg "Firestarter"]]!
** [[https://youtu.be/rGtg2fQOWBw "Landmass"]] by The Future Sound of London might just be the ''perfect'' soundtrack to score a BattleInTheRain to - the synths at the very beginning coupled with the progressively increasing intensity of the track makes this pure serendipity if it plays on levels like Gare D'Europa or Spilskinanke.
** Let's get this party started [[JustForPun with a bang]] in the form of [=FSoL=]'s [[https://youtu.be/fAKeiXcZ-vc "We Have Explosive"]]. As the name implies, this is a ''very'' explosive and chaotic track that will be very appropriate as you race in some of the hardest tracks that this game has to offer while in the Phantom class.

You have added no context whatsoever to any of the examples you uncommented. In fact, by adding more examples without bothering to explain what makes them awesome, you've exacerbated the problem.

Lists of track titles are not context. Why is the use of EACH SONG LISTED awesome?
