** Most anything by Jerry Goldsmith, but ''especially'' his soundtracks to the ''StarTrek'' movies. Three words: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXYjvrzJkl8 The Klingon Battle]]. It's pretty much the reason anybody watches the first ''Trek'' movie.
**** What, no love for the title sequence of ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Go2SBr8XRac First Contact ]]''?
** ''And'' the ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnPxOttpVdI Rudy]]'' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR2wOHwJ-Jo soundtrack]].
** From ''StarTrekFirstContact'' is the beautiful [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhoa7oWPPhk Main Title]], "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM1X2TcGMb4 Red Alert]]", which is just one ThemeMusicPowerUp after another, and "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWxOCuk6rMs The Dish]]", which reworks the Borg theme over and over to new heights of awesome.
** The best score from "Nemesis," [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmQjaMXDWbc&feature=related Final Flight]]. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIBDxq9FDDI&feature=related Lateral Run]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2amnhCS8-s&feature=related The Scorpion]] also deserve mention here.
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QigWNr2bS0k theme]] for the [[BigBad Son'a]] in ''StarTrekInsurrection'' is just ''grand''.
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDAYFm0NTNs ''Insurrection'' opening theme]] is just like his old Motion Picture theme for the first minute-and-a-quarter, then it turns freakin' gorgeous. (Watch out, he's got an oboe and he's not afraid to use it!)

* V'Ger music [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny331iEL_uQ All]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctzhNR7hZHA of]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIqMyxexEbA it]]. Fifteen minutes of creepy, surreal win. Sadly, FridgeLogic kicks in and you realize that it's the soundtrack to fifteen minutes of ''PADDING.'' Then, there's "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAU8OOKDc6g The Enterprise]]". Beautiful.
** And from the same film, there's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdnmRokSBdE Ilia's theme]].

* There's a moment at the end of ''Star Trek Nemesis'' (which was an awesome movie, no matter what anyone else says) where Blue Skies is heard on a piano, and it slowly builds up into a full blown ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCUihwunjrM Star Trek fanfare]]''.
* "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjZzVwGBMik Leaving Drydock]]" from ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' - especially when several characters had expressed uncertianty about wether the damn thing would move.

** Chrissie Hynde's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t98bsf9kRW4 cover]] of ''LiveAndLetDie'' is pretty good.

*** Sadly, Elfman's score for the second film was such a case of ScrewedByTheNetwork (cues from the first film being tracked in, parts of Elfman's score reworked by Young and John Debney) that he's publicly stated he'll never work with SamRaimi again (explaining why Christopher Young did the third film - and got ''his'' score [[ScrewedByTheNetwork tampered with]] as well!)

* The ''QueenOfTheDamned'' movie would not be a tenth as good without the soundtrack, which was done by Johnathan Davis of {{Korn}}. Although he only sings in the movie as Lestat's voice, he wrote all the songs which were performed by several rock musicians, such as [[LinkinPark Chester Benington]] and MarilynManson.
