* Considering she's alive by that point, Chapter 10 is the time where Kaitlyn truly establishes her ActionGirl cred. While several other characters can be there at the lodge at the same time if survived up to that point, the player is in control of Kaitlyn for the duration of what is essentially the climatic encounter of the game. She can survive a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the werewolf running throughout the lodge. Depending on player choice she can either shoot werewolf Caleb dead with silver shells or use a decoy to lure him into the freezer with no way out. Note that she can accomplish the latter even if she's all alone. There's a reason why Kaitlyn has an achievement for being the FinalGirl.

* She kills the first werewolf, Kaylee. This not only always happens, but Laura, as far as the story goes, has no training and is running solely on being determined to heal her boyfriend.
* Laura can take down most of the Hackett family (Kaylee, Constance, Jed, and Travis) if the correct choices are made.

* Despite Laura being fully prepared and adept, a werewolf Max can bite her easily.

* A werewolf infected and super-strong Nick corners Abigail. She manages to shove him in the pool.

* Despite having no training, Abigail wields a shotgun and can protect herself from Nick.

* Emma can evade a werewolf Max without taking a single bite. During the chase she can potentially face the werewolf head on by using a taser and bear spray on it.
* Even while being bitten she'll tase the werewolf to get it off her.
* In Chapter 6, during Jacob's playable segment, should he miss the first quick time event, the werewolf will tackle and infect him. Emma will then (without player input) channel her inner Leonidas/Kassandra/Alexios and sparta kick the werewolf off of the bridge, saving Jacob's life in the process. She then immediately does the smart thing and jumps into a river to escape.
* Later on she can potentially throw a firework onto either the hunters or werewolf Caleb.
* If Jacob is infected but has the silver bracelet she dropped earlier, when he transforms she'll take the opportunity to fend him off with it.

* Jacob gets caught in a beartrap but is able to focus enough to force it open and escape on such an injured leg. And if he's not infected, he can't heal it.
* In Chapter 10, if Chris is still alive, he hunts Jacob in the woods. Jacob can trick Chris into getting caught in a snare trap. And he comes up with this plan on the fly while being hunted.

* He can also be the one to end the curse by killing Chris.

* Laura can take down most of the Hackett family if the correct choices are made.

* She escapes from werewolf Caleb, potentionally by climbing a tree.

* Nick does show himself to be very capable with a shotgun, unfortunately circumstances mean he never gets to use one to help the group.

* By making the correct choices Dylan is able to not only save Kaitlyn from certain doom in the scrapyard by properly operating a crane and dropping a car onto an attacking werewolf, he will also be successfully defend himself despite being in a compromising position with a blowtorch. Doubly awesome if he is a HandicappedBadass from amputating his hand in an earlier chapter as it doesn't slow him down a bit with his improvised tactics.

* Unlike most infected character who turn on their friends before their transformation, Dylan instead pleads with Kaitlyn to run to save herself.

* Later on she can potentially throw a firework onto either the hunters on werewolf Chris.

* As a werewolf, Max is an incredible agile killer who can cripple Laura's eye and easily dispatch Emma without breaking a swear.

* She kills the first werewolf, Kaylee. This not only always happens, but Laura, as far as the story goes, has no training and is running solely on healing her boyfriend.

* Kaitlyn is a crackshot with a shotgun and shoots four targets in a row without breaking a sweat.
