* The final boss fight with Ugh-Zan III. You start in the middle of a square arena where waves of monsters, starting from the weak yet annoying Kleer all the way to waves combining both categories of Biomechanoid with Werebulls, Beheaded Kamikaze and Kleer, all for you to mow down as the ammo pack and health items keep you alive. Then the door opens and you're faced with a big corridor. Just as you exit the area, in comes Ugh-Zan III, a towering, bipedal, multiarmed monster chasing you from behind. At this point, your mission is to reach the pyramid while avoiding him... And several waves which not only include the aforementioned enemies but also the other types of beheaded soldiers and both types of Arachnoid. Once you reach the pyramid, Sam places the relics in position and is brought to the upper level of the castle, where [=UZ3=] spawns. Now it's all between you and [=UZ3=], no more enemy waves. Your objective is to get him aligned with the only thing that can keep him down for the count: a super laser from his spaceship. It takes quite a bit to make it work (and unfortunately he still keeps his regeneration ability) but once the laser takes him down for good, Sam boards the ship and gets ready to continue... until the beginning of TSE, that is.

* The entire "Grand Cathedral" level. Just for starters, the monster count in this level is 1048 just for the normal difficulty! The level starts at an S-shaped corridor where hordes and hordes of Kleer, Kamikazes, Biomechanoids (the Large variety), Werebulls and other big monsters make their presence felt. This corridor alone hosts almost half of the total of enemies of the level. Afterwards comes a jumppad section, with a few enemies, mostly to relieve the tension of the corridor. Then an outdoor fight with wave after wave of enemies coming from different directions to the item tower. It starts with Kamikazes, then Kleer, then a combination of Big and Little Mechanoids, Werebulls, more Kleer, more Kamikazes, more Rocketeers, more Laser soldiers... All while a meteor and lightning storm ambients the fight. And then Sam enters the castle and a bunch of trees are struck by lightning as Mordecai, the game's FinalBoss, makes his presence felt. What follows is a sequence of Sam mowing down not only Mordecai but also the different enemies he summons. Once Mordecai is finished, the baddies disappear and Sam proceeds to enter the temple and take the Holy Grail. Cue a phone ringing, and Sam going to the confessional:
--> Sam: Forgive me father, for I have sinned.\\
Mental: [as the Father] I'm not your father!\\
Sam: Oh yeah, that's the other movie. Anyway, I do have a few things I'd like to confess.\\

Sam: I've been bad. I've been following the path leading to your being, but I must admit I almost strayed away. There were great temptations on my journey. It seems there have been a few unfortunate casualties during the past few days, and I'm really sorry about those. Not! It's also possible I accidentally dropped a few bombs here and there, but fortunately some of your employees caught them. Apparently I also slightly murdered Understatement many of your staff, which indeed might be the case, and I'm almost sorry about that, so I hope that counts. Oh yeah, I might've used bad language from time to time, but who gives a crap!? Finally, I'm heading straight towards you, and nothing, but nothing, can drag me away from your path. After powering up the Time Lock and thinking that his work is finally done, things take a turn for the worse for Sam when he finds out that a final, MASSIVE assault has been launched by Mental, that the rest of mankind is being systematically wiped out, erasing any possible hope for survival they had up to that point (the last-to-final level is ominously named "The Last Man on Earth"), and that Mental himself is coming to oversee the final destruction of Earth. After having both his VoicewithAnInternetConnection and LoveInterest killed in the assault, Sam makes a final push towards the Time-Lock through a canyon under stormy, almost alien skies, fighting waves upon waves of almost every single kind of enemy in the entire game, culminating with a stand against massive WAVE after WAVE of Kleers and Khnums, and AFTER that, a battle against the final boss, Ugh-Zan IV, while still being rushed by hundreds of Khnums, Technopolips, Minor and Major Biomechanoids, and a final dash to the Time Lock as Mental finally arrives and hurls the bloody MOON towards the Earth, completely destroying it right after Sam manages to jump through the portal. All of that while epic music blasts on the background, and the ample supplies of ammo guarantee you with almost unlimited ammunition for the fight. And you'll need every single bullet.

Not ten seconds after Sam stands up and starts looking for a way out, a Gnaar climbs up the wall and attacks. Sam rips its goddamned eye out with his bare hands. And, if it wasn't awesome enough that first time, you can then do it to every Gnaar you encounter from that point forward.
** You can also throw the eye to kill an enemy. Or, if you throw it just right, you can use that first eye to bounce a secret shotgun to you.

Serious Sam is a series that take pride in making Sam face wave after wave after even bigger wave of different enemies with different lethality grades, ranging from weak yet numerous GoddamnedBats all the way to DemonicSpiders and beyond. Some of its bosses also fall in the category of EnemySummoner, or may be accompanied by some of those hordes, so the extra challenge for players who love mowing down hordes with big weapons in a NintendoHard level is there. All of which only contribute to display how badass Sam really is.

So please, have faith in this one thing. I'm coming to get... YOU!

level. Just for starters, the monster count in this level is 1048 just for the normal difficulty!. After a comical dialogue between Mental and Sam, he proceeds to board a rocket, onto the next game...
