** Then in the fight on the roof, Harrigan ends up slicing the City Hunter's arm off with the alien's disc weapon before it ends up crashing into an apartment complex and is forced to heal himself. And did we still mention that Harrigan is constantly chasing after the Predator until the final fight in the Yautja space ship?

** It's a strong possibility that the Xenomorph trophy belongs to another Predator and not the City Hunter as the ship houses several more Predators, who show up at the very end.
* The ending to the film has a sense of closure, as Harrigan lives to tell about his encounter with a Predator, and Garber, one of the government agents under Keyes, asks with a hint of disbelief what happened. While this is happening, this Music/AlanSilvestri composition plays: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF0i2iPnVfE Came So Close / End Credits]]

'''Harrigan''': ''[punching him right in the face]'' '''[[PrecisionFStrike FUCK YOU!!!]]'''

* Harrigan single-handedly takes down the AUG-and-grenade launcher-armed Colombians with his car and an old shotgun. The Predator itself was impressed enough after it witnessed this.
** What really makes the City Hunter decide Harrigan is the worthiest trophy of his hunt? Later, on the roof of the Columbian stronghold, Harrigan suddenly whirls and trains his gun right on the cloaked Predator. Harrigan didn't hear it, still can't really see it, has no idea he's being stalked by an invisible extraterrestrial, but his instincts are still sharp enough to warn him. You can actually see the Predator ''freeze in shock.''

* The ending certainly qualifies. ''Multiple'' Predators decloak and surround Harrigan after he has just killed the City Hunter. Also qualifies in a real life sense given the scene involved nine men in Predator suits, which made it the single most expensive scene to make in the whole film.
-->'''Harrigan''': Okay, who's next?
** Harrigan's trophy, in addition to being an awesome show of respect that shows how old Predators can be, almost qualifies as a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}} as well.
* The fact that Harrigan was 'just' a cop, and not some SuperSoldier leading a BadassCrew like Dutch and his men in the first movie, and he ''still'' managed to win.
** Not to mention he manage to succeed where Dutch failed by beating a Predator in combat.[[note]]Not to diminish the accomplishment, but WordOfGod is that Dutch was stuck with playing on Hard mode, so to speak, as he faced off against an older, tougher, and much more experienced hunter than the one Harrigan defeats here, while armed only with his wits.[[/note]]
** Harrigan was so formidable that the Predator eventually just gave up fighting and decided to prioritize escape. Even if we didn't see his reaction, there's no doubt the alien was scared out of his mind when Harrigan actually followed him back to his ship.
* While on the subway, some thugs are harrassing some poor sap... who proceeds to ''pull out a gun'' to defend himself. When one of thugs pulls an even bigger gun, '''five''' more people, [[NeverMessWithGranny including an old lady]], pull out handguns too. Then Jerry and Leona show up and the thugs immediately surrender.
* After realizing just how screwed Keyes and his men are, Harrigan proceeds to steal his gun back from the federal agents who are trying to stop him from intervening. He gets them to let him go by dropping down onto one of them and holding him at gunpoint. Harrigan then [[MoreDakka goes to his car and loads up on pretty much all the weapons in the trunk]], blows down the door to the warehouse with a grenade round, and makes a BadAssBoast to call out the Predator.
-->'''Harrigan''': You want me? HERE I AM!
* King Willie doesn't survive his encounter with the Predator, but given that the fortune teller was decapitated and his skull claimed as a trophy, it's a safe bet that Willie was able to put up one hell of a fight.
* Another argument could be made for Keyes' surprise return after being blasted in the face by a plasma bolt. Just when you think the Predator's got Harrigan cornered, Keyes jumps out, half of his face burnt off, and entering full on Creator/GaryBusey mode starts laughing like a psychopath while blasting the Predator with liquid nitrogen.
-->'''Keyes''': Guess who's back! Too late to go home now!
* Off screen one for the city hunter. He's got the skull of a Xenomorph in his ship. In addition to launching a whole new franchise it also shows how badass he is to kill something on his own that usually requires a full marine squad with 22nd century weapons.

No meta moment, see this query.

* In somewhat of a meta sense, moving the action from an isolated spot in the jungle to downtown LA allows the film to follow the slasher sequel formula. As [[Film/Scream2 Randy]] once put it, "the kills are always much more elaborate, more blood, more gore, ''carnage candy.'' Giving the City Hunter an array of new weapons, where the Jungle Hunter kept it simple with just the plasmacaster and wristblades, allows for more a far more visually impressive Predator ramage. Changing the setting to a city, especially a fictional future Los Angeles that's become a warzone of violent drug cartels, gives the Predator a lot more victims to hunt, and ones the audience won't necessarily feel bad for seeing die, adding to the Predators slasher-like charisma. It isn't until the back half of the film, when the Predator kills Danny, armed commuters on the subway, and Jerry that the audience is reminded the Predator is still a villain, and our hero is absolutely in the right to want to take him down. This is especially impressive since other slasher-type movies trying to move from their isolated locations to a city tend not to fare well.
