* One of the very last sequences in the film involves Nishi and the others [[spoiler:booking it out of the mouth of a gigantic dying whale. It begins with them rowing a ''motor''boat as hard as they can, and when that fails, they literally sprint on top of a giant tsunami wave, coming to grips with shortcomings in their past that almost cost them their lives, all the while dodging an ocean liner, a train, a tank, a 747, a stories-high skyscraper, ''''and'''' a fireball explosion on the way out.]] It's a really visceral and primal viewing experience, to say the least.
