* As opposed to the Camp Fam getting to the heart of telling Kenji his father is evil (which only [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome drove him away]]), Mae's low-key approach reaches ''professional therapist levels'' of undoing the manipulation Kenji's toxic father placed. She assures him there's no wrong in missing his friends, prompts him to question why his father is surrounded by shady people ([[ComicallyMissingThePoint with mixed results]]) and points out he shouldn't have to earn money to please his father. Through these efforts, Mae is able to steadily undo Mr. Kon's influence on Kenji to the point where he starts to question his father (and [[GoodCostumeSwitch redon his own clothes]]) even ''before'' he learned [[MoralEventHorizon his father had Bumpy mind-controlled]].

** The scope of it. When appealing to her kindlier side didn't work, Daniel tried to [[BreakThemByTalking coerce]] Sammy by [[KickTheDog mentioning she was chosen to work for Mantah Corp because she's a bleeding heart who easily cracks at pressure]]. He tried to make her feel as though [[SadisticChoice there was no right choice]]: it's either give him the password to save the others, or look like a DirtyCoward when they lose. He then invokes that she's still the same helpless kid who caved in to save her family's ranch. In response, Sammy gives the groin attack to Daniel to show [[CharacterDevelopment she's a long way from that scared little girl who agreed to be a Mantah Corp spy]].

And it doesn't hurt that Kenji (who's been [[ItGetsEasier developing the habit]] of controlling dinosaurs) acts as a {{Foil}} to the adamant Ben.

* Even though he ends up being the greater of the two evils, Mr. Kon single-handedly disabling Kash's control over the BRADs with [[CuttingTheKnot just a key phrase]] is rather impressive, especially considering Kash was betraying him at the time. If anything, it's just plain satisfying to see someone wipe that smug smile off his face for once.

* To a villainous degree, Daniel Kon being the only villain throughout the series (if not the franchise) to meet consequences that ''don't'' involve death by dinosaur. Not many antagonists in the series can stake the claim they weren't killed by a dinosaur in one form or another. If anything, his punishment is practically worse: he has to ''live'' with not only going to jail, but also the humiliation that he was outsmarted by his "lazy" son and "[[Franchise/ScoobyDoo meddling]]" friends.
