* If not the experiment itself, how about the fact that it ''succeeded''? [=ArenaNet=] showed the industry that they don't need to rake in millions of dollars each month in subscriptions to produce a professional, challenging, and well-maintained online game... let alone invest in programming an EvenBetterSequel.

* OK, They've released the sequel. They obviously will close down the servers for ''Guild Wars''... not so fast. [=ArenaNet=] went on record as stating that the server-side requirements for ''Guild Wars'', as well as the hands-on maintenance, are so miniscule that short of a genuine emergency, [=ArenaNet=] can leave the game running perpetually on a single server in a back room effectively until its ''sequel'' is closed down, by which time there will be largely no point to keeping either of them up.

* One mission towards the end of the game has the players taming huge {{sand worm}}s in order to cross a sulfur desert any living creature will instantly die upon walking on. There's some satisfaction to be had in wiping out legions of those pesky [[EliteMooks Margonites]] with said sand worms on the way.

* YourMileageMayVary, but for me the final Nightfall mission counts. After the previous mission, which can be somewhat stressful, being able to simply rush in and fight the final boss of the game. The music and visuals help with this, and the fact that the mission is usually quite short also helps in enjoying it.
* As a game developer, I feel that the fact that they experimented by having tons of optional paid content and no monthly charge counts.
