* Erica threatens Lloyd: [[spoiler:"I will harvest your organs with my thumbnails."]] Yeah, don't mess with Erica.

* Meta version: Creator/JimmiSimpson's performance as Lloyd. Not to disparage the rest of the cast, but it's clear why Simpson got the AndStarring credit, and became the show's EnsembleDarkHorse. Throughout the show Simpson continually shows the talent that didn't really get noticed in the mainstream until Series/{{Westworld}}. It's a good bet that the Damien Fontleroy story arc wouldn't have been written if another actor had played Lloyd.

* August Tillman escapes with an UndersideRide, using discarded license plates to build a fake undercarriage shell so that the guards checking under the departing truck won't see him.
* Joe Ramsey makes a fake headset out of a coat hanger and an eraser colored with a black marker. Then, he steals a jacket and uses the phony headset to pose as a [=PA=] with a visiting documentary crew and walk out of the prison with them.
* Christian Beaumont blows his way out of a courthouse with a bomb made from a lightbulb, flour, hair gel, and a match.
* Rodney Cain non-fatally shocks a guard by tossing a radio into his bucket of drinking water while the guard [[KickTheDog is peeing in it.]] Then, Rodney walks out of the prison in the guard's uniform.

* Damien Fontleroy converts to Judaism to have an excuse to learn Hebrew after learning the prison search dogs were trained in Israel, enabling him to order them away once he breaks out of prison and the dogs start chasing him.
* Travis Muncey collects a bunch of butter packs from the meals he's been skipping, and crams them into an envelope that he is allowed to take to the mailroom. Once there, Travis takes out the butter, slathers himself in it, and uses his thinness and slipperiness to squeeze out of a pipe system to freedom.
* Virgil Downing slides a magazine up his sleeve to create slack while being handcuffed. This lets him slip out one hand, choke the guard unconscious and steal his bulletproof vest and pepper spray. Virgil then hangs from a pipe in the hallway right above the cellblock door until another guard unlocks the door. Virgil kills an inmate on janitorial duty who spots him with the man's mop, then uses the pepper spray on another guard. Finally, Virgil crawls through the barbed wire outside, protected by the stolen bulletproof vest.
* While WorkingOnTheChainGang, Jonah Whitman uses a shovel to sever the foot of the man chained to him and dives into a river, swimming underwater to escape the guards. Once safe, he cuts himself and uses his own blood as a lubricant to get out of his cuffs.
