It was Meguro not Tanpopo, and she's not really a badass- Magatsu deconstructs how flawed she is as a fighter and she really accomplishes nothing except stalling Shira

* Pretty much every recurring character's first introduction qualifies as this.
* Magatsu killing two would-be assassins after tricking them into thinking he was dead.
* Magatsu's first fight against Manji.
* Araya's fight against Manji...in a room full of obstacles.
* Shira absolutely butchering a group of assassins. Admittedly turns into NightmareFuel once he starts enjoying himself a little too much.
** Manji interrupting his fun by cutting off his sword arm out of nowhere!
* Shinriji's DyingMomentOfAwesome. Especially amazing considering the fact that he was the ButtMonkey for a good portion of the series up to that point.
* Shira ambushing Manji and Magatsu.
** Magatsu VS Shira
* The climax of the Last Blood arc, containing not one, nor two, but three BigDamnHeroes moments.
** Makie killing several assailants without a single drop of blood landing on her.

** Manji breaking Giichi's weapon using sheer brute strength!

* Rin, Doa breaking out of prison.
* Four shogunate officers taking on Shira...Or, more accurately, the absolutely catastrophic result of four officers taking on Shira.
* Anotsu, Magatsu, Sukezane and Ozuhan storming an entire shogunate outpost.
* Sukezane's DyingMomentOfAwesome, complete with a brutal FoeTossingCharge.
