* DeadSerious: Episode 5.1 completely drops any jokes, with Unused and Majin referring the viewer to another video concerning the drama that had happened prior with Nominal.

* FishingEpisode: Episode 3 of the After Hours shows Lord X and Unused fishing together, implied to happen after Season 1 Episode 13 of the main series given that Lord X broke Unused out of prison by... inviting him to go fishing with him.

* FormulaBreakingEpisode: Not only is Season 1 Episode 11 the current longest-running episode in the series, but instead of being solely audio-based, it is seen in action via [=VRChat=]. It does return to audio and picture format near the end, though.

** In any episodes where Unused isn't sitting in the same table as Majin, expect him to end the episode by yelling "BUZZ OFF!"

* SpecialGuest: So far, Episodes 2, 3, 5, 8 and 10 of Season 1 feature a special guest that talks with Unused and Majin about the same assortment of random things. These special guests are Hog, [[VideoGame/SonicPCPort Lord X]], Starved, [[TheFriendNobodyLikes Coldsteel]] and [[VideoGame/UndyingPhoenix Xanthus]].
** Episode 11 goes full-out with this, co-starring Xenophanes (both his canon '''and''' ''VideoGame/VsSonicExe'' counterparts), [[VideoGame/SonicR Tails Doll]], [[VideoGame/SunkyMpeg Sunky]], Sonic, WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse and [[VideoGame/VsRewrite Rewrite]].

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: In Episode 11, music from ''VideoGame/AngryBirds'' coming out of nowhere causes everyone at the back of the truck to laugh at the situation at hand.

** In Episode 5, Starved calls Furnace after Unused and Majin talk about a derailing train in Manhattan, with the phrasing of the call implicating that Manhattan is about to get carpet-bombed. Only after a moment where Unused and Majin start freaking out over what Starved is doing does the latter reveal that the Furnace robots are instead ''dropping carpets'' all around Manhattan - ''[[{{Pun}} literally]]'' "carpet-bombing" the city.
** In Episode 10, Xanthus seems to be setting up the "Candice nuts" meme with one news report, only to state an actual name relevant to the report; "Candice Farrington", a graduate from Harvard University.

** In the second episode, after the 1:55 mark, everyone just stays silent until the exact 2-minute mark.
** In the third episode, [[SuddenlyShouting after Unused questions whether Majin thought it was alright to invite Lord X onto their show]], there's a silence for a moment, before Majin simply responds "Pretty much, yeah."
* BrokenRecord: Coldsteel just says nothing but "Nothing personel, kid" over and over for the first 40 seconds of Episode 8.
* TheCameo: There's a brief moment in Episode 2 where [[ComicBook/SonicTheComic Fleetway Super Sonic]] shouts at the other hedgehogs to [[PrecisionFStrike "SHUT THE F**K UP!"]] off-screen, leading them to discuss about him for a little bit.

* CrazyPrepared: In Episode 6, Majin happens to be already set up for defence against a galaxy-induced war against him and Unused... which may or may not involve Lord X throwing stars at the attackers.

* DeathFromAbove: Discussed and subverted. After the usual "train with a plane on it" gag is mentioned in Episode 5, Starved contacts his Furnace carpet bombers to attack Manhattan, which causes clear concern from Unused and Majin. However, this turns out to be harmless carpets being dropped all over the place.

* FishingEpisode: Episode 3 of the After Hours shows Lord X and Unused fishing together, implied to happen after Episode 13 of the main series given that Lord X broke Unused out of prison by...inviting him to go fishing with him.
* FluffyTheTerrible: The big creature seen leaping over the truck before the group enter federal prison in Episode 11 is named "Jerry", which amuses several of the passengers, Majin included. They shut up after the driver threatens to make them Jerry's next meal if they keep insulting him, though.
* FormulaBreakingEpisode: Not only is Episode 11 the current longest-running episode in the series, but instead of being solely audio-based, it is seen in action via [=VRChat=]. It does return to audio and picture format near the end, though.

** In Episode 6, Majin feels the urge to shout this by the 30-second mark, though holds his tongue, knowing that the episode would've been insanely short had he done so.
** Episode 7 has Unused do this instead, the very second he realises they're at the end of the episode.
** In Episode 8, Unused lets out [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech one massive, overly long list of transgressions]] in an effort to get Coldsteel to leave the room, which eventually works.

* HeadDesk: Episode 12 has Majin plant his head face-first on his desk in frustration as he waits for the right time to get Unused out of federal prison. His constant head-desking however gets Hog concerned for Majin's health, which comically gets really bad when Majin rapidly head-desks to the point where even Scorched yells at him to stop.
* IncomingHam: Starved makes his grand entrance in Episode 5 with the beginning of "[[Music/LinkinPark In the End]]", with Unused joining in, much to Majin's bafflement.

* MediumAwareness: In Episode 11, the Sonic accompanying Unused and Majin in the truck is the only one who seems to be aware of the TV screen being used to monitor them on their way to federal prison. Nobody else can see it, and Majin passes it off as this Sonic being schizophrenic.
* MotorMouth: Unused says a lot of random things in one go during the second episode, with Hog lampshading how he's able to talk that fast.

* NoodleIncident: The reason Unused and Majin got caught and escorted off to federal jail in Episode 11 was, in part, thanks to Unused not paying his taxes to the IRS. However, the biggest kicker was that he used a Disney property in a non-uploaded video that the company ''somehow'' learned about, summoning Mickey Mouse and hundreds of policemen to their doorstep in an instant.

** It's almost guaranteed that Unused will say "touché" and Majin will yell at the others to get out in each video. The exceptions to the latter so far are Episode 4, where Majin instead calls Nominal's AuthorAvatar to prepare recording for a song between him and Unused, and Episode 6, where the episode ends on a more light-hearted note with the two hosts getting along much better. [[MediumAwareness Majin does catch onto this in the latter]].

* PreMortemOneLiner: Lord X delivers a funny one towards Unused at the end of Episode 9, where he warps him and Majin up to their ceiling unexpectedly and makes himself and Unused vanish, much to Majin's shock. So much so that Unused is outright absent from the tenth episode.

* PrisonEpisode: Episode 11 sees the cast take a ride to federal prison, all instigated by Unused not paying his taxes. Episode 12 follows up on that episode, where Majin tries to negotiate with Rewrite to bail Unused out.

** In most episodes, one of the characters will mention trains that have derailed with planes on top of them as a joke. And if one doesn't derail? Episode 7 reveals that they somehow MAKE it derail anyway, just for RuleOfFunny.
*** In Episode 5, Starved seems to take that a bit too seriously and summons Furnace carpet bombers over Manhattan, actually concerning the two hedgehogs. This ends up turning out to be lots of Furnace robots dropping carpets all over the place.

* SpeakInUnison: Unused and Majin accidentally do this with one another at the end of Episode 6, and they both have a good laugh about it, so much that the usual "GET OUT!" gag is left out.

* StandaloneEpisode: Episode 7 stands out from the others in that the jokes aren't used as often. Instead, the episode is used to showcase a teaser for an upcoming VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin mod and a remake of one of Nominal's previous songs, "Lost My Mind".

** The VHS episode suddenly cuts to Unused pulling a NightmareFace directly at the screen and give [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech an outright hateful speech]] to an individual named "Jubilee", as a result of a real life person of a similar username harassing people using the vocal effects used for Unused's voice.

* ThePianoPlayer: The fourth episode mainly focuses on Unused and Majin both playing the piano between each other. The songs that are played include [[VideoGame/VsSonicExe "Endless", "Faker"]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext (which stops after a few notes due to Majin feeling uneasy from it)]] [[VideoGame/VsSonicExe and "Soulless"]], with the last one being completely original. A special episode rounds this section off with Unused and Majin doing the song while Nominal records it.
* UncertainDoom: In Episode 11, aside from Unused and Majin (and Tails Doll, who was seen falling off the truck partway through the travel to federal prison), it's never explained what happened to the other passengers, Mickey or the driver after the crash.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Coldsteel, of course, fits this to a T, so much so that Unused and Majin both complain about him inviting himself, and only several roasts from Unused make Coldsteel finally leave.

* VitriolicBestBuds: While the earlier episodes involved a lot of bickering between the two of them, at the end of the day, Majin and Unused generally get along and enjoy making jokes as they do the show.
