It was averted when God left His job as supreme deity to his half-angel granddaughter. Chances are her universe -- the third at the time -- would have survived anyway, not being entangled with God's crappy handiwork.]]

Alternatively, if absolute entropy is the fate of everything, then perhaps one day in a googolplex years, simple physical processes might eventually lead to something interesting happening purely at random.

But there was a strong possibility of a Class Z Omniversal FUBAR scenario happening if Goku didn't summon Future Zeno in time, and the little guy promptly destroyed the multiverse in Future Trunks' timeline, which was at this point completely corrupted by an EldritchAbomination form of Fused Zamasu who [[GeniusLoci assimilated it into his own very being]], [[KillEmAll destroying all life]], [[SerialEscalation and even threatening to spill into all timelines in existence by distorting the fabric of time and space]], [[GodzillaThreshold which could result in Zeno of all timelines destroying their own respective multiverses in response]]. Even if that ''didn't'' happen, Fused Zamasu was still trying to wipe out all mortal life and would've wiped them out himself.]]

* In ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar'', Kowalski invents a time travel device known as the Chronotron. It malfunctions and starts threatening to do this. Rico narrowly subverts this by, [[BeyondTheImpossible despite Kowalski arguing that it should've broke all known laws of the universe]], throwing the Chronotron itself into the ripped fabric of space. In fact, Skipper points out both in this episode and on a regular basis that a large number of Kowalski's inventions threaten to [[KillEmAll destroy them all]] regardless if they actually threaten to end the world or just them alone.
