* AdaptationalBadass: Rean in Valimar can link up with Class VII to use EX Arts on his enemy but they only target one enemy in the games. In the anime however, Sara's "Thundering Roar" EX Art can essentially pull off a OneHitPolykill [[spoiler:on a group of archaisms in the final episode.]]

* OneHitPolykill: While piloting Valimar, Rean is shown to be capable of destroying three Calvardian gunships in one slash with his Zemurian tachi. And then there's what he pulls off at the end of episode 5 where he one shots the numerous monsters with just one swing. Not to mention what he does in episode 11 where he one shots a group of archaisms at a distance (implied to be Arc Slash even though he doesn't get access to said craft inside Valimar in ''Cold Steel II'') and ''especially'' the final episode [[spoiler:after he loses control and destroys every archaism in the vicinity. It's a miracle that he didn't inflict any civilian casualties pulling that off.]]
