''The Garden of Words'' marks a return to the style MakotoShinkai employed in ''Anime/FiveCentimetersPerSecond'', illustrating how factors such as age may contribute to separation and the loneliness that individuals may experience in their lives. The anime is licensed by Sentai Filmworks.
