fan-speak only trope

* {{Bishonen}}: Ichirouhiko to the point of DudeLooksLikeALady. A story segment show him being quite the ChickMagnet.

* {{Irony}}: When he first enters the beast world, an overwhelmed Ren runs about on fours in a panic. It doesn't get anymore ironic than a human boy running about on all fours like a critter, whilst in a world full of anthropomorphic animals on two legs.

There are two realms: the human realm and "Jūtengai", the bakemono realm. In these two worlds which must not intersect, there lives Ren (voiced by Aoi Miyazaki as a child and Shota Sometani as an adult), a lonely boy in Tokyo's Shibuya ward, and Kumatetsu (Koji Yakusho), a lonely bakemono. One fateful evening Ren runs away from home and meets Kumatetsu, who nicknames him "Kyuta" and takes him in as his apprentice. The film follows their relationship throughout their journey.

* ChildrenDoTheHousework: Ren/Kyuta does the cooking, cleaning and laundry for his martial arts teacher/adoptive father Kumatetsu. Before he was adopted, Kumatetsu's house was a mess and he can only cook rice mixed with raw eggs, which Ren/Kyuta hates.

Removing potentially invalid trope.

* LeftHanging: Ichirohiko’s last scene is him with his adopted family in a bedroom that he does not claim as his own, but the film does not expand upon this, nor does it specify if he was vindicated for his actions.

What Happened To The Mouse is when a character simply disappears without reason or acknowledgment by the rest of the cast. By the time Ren runs off into the city, his mother's relatives have already served their purpose and exit the story. That example doesn't count.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Ren’s mother’s relatives are not seen or mentioned again after the boy runs away into the city, and there is no mention of what happened to them or how they reacted to Ren living with his father. One thing is certain though, they won’t be bothering him or his dad ever again.
